The Balance in the Force [On Haitus]

It was said the force was the Father, Son, and Daughter. But is that all there is? Good and Evil, Life and Death, Creation and Destruction. The prophecy informed them of a boy who will bring balance to the universe. Was it just the boy or was there a deeper meaning to it? Note: I don't own the Star Wars Universe, just writing fanfic. Also, Cover was found on Pinterest, I don't own that either. (3rd fanfic written)(Will be put on hold until I finish one or two other fanfics)

007 First Battle of Geonosis(2)

Blaster fire and explosions came flying everywhere. We took cover behind an AT-TE and fired back. I had asked for a DC-17 pistol from one of the commanders before we left. My left hand holding the lightsaber to deflect shots while firing back with the pistol from my right.

I felt incoming danger and felt where it came from. A Hailfire class droid shot it's missiles at us. I used the force to push it downwards to hit the ground below in front of the AT-TE. The shockwave threw some of the clones to the ground.

"Selena, use the force to drive incoming missiles down to the ground in front of us" I ordered

I defected another shot back and killed another two droids to see how Selena was doing. I turned around in time to see a blaster bolt flying towards her face as she deflected a another shot. It was too late for her to react. Luckily I had left part of my nanoarmor on her to protect her. As it was about to come into contact with her, a helmet blocked the shot.

I breathed in relief that she was going to be ok. I used the force to bring her over next to me. She was unconscious, the armor barely had time to form over her face to protect her. Other than a small concussion, she was fine but she would be out of the fight for some time.

There was a limited amount of things I could do on such a large battlefield. The trade federation's starships started to fly towards the orbit. Like the movies, only one of them were shot down. Dust flew into the air and we couldn't see properly except for the fact that the droids were in front. Using this as an advantage, I turned to the unconscious Selena. I place my hands over her and used force heal.

It took some time but she was awake again. I was completely spent. Unlike Selena, I never really practiced force heal on others.

"You're finally awake" I sighed as sat down full of fatigue

"I thought I died" She said in fear

"Not on my watch Selena. But, let's have this talk later. Right now, we need to finish this battle" I told her as I got up with my gun in hand.

I held out my hand and she grabbed it. I pulled her up from the ground.

We continued to shoot blindly in the dust. It didn't take long before the commanders came through on the comms.

"Cease fire. Cease fire. All Droids are on a full retreat" A commander came through and informed everyone

The clones collapsed from fatigue. Unlike the movies, the battle lasted for a good 8 hours. Both sides were at a stalemate, but the separatists had more droids than there are clones. Luckily they retreated or our troops would be wiped out. We went back to the command center and I asked the commander "How many casualties?"

The commander took some time and asked about the situation before he answered "Thousands of troops and nearly five thousand commandos, along with two hundred Jedi"

I sighed and shook my head. When my men heard about the numbers of commandos who were killed in just this one battle they were angered and upset. I could feel it before they calmed down again.

"What's wrong?" Selena asked

"Nothing, just some stupid sacrifices and terrible commands by the republic's incompetence" I shook my head

She looked at me in confusion "But we won the battle"

I felt the anger rise in the commandos and clones.

I didn't look at them and instead spoke to Selena. "Selena, we won the battle but not the war. We lost all these troops but for what?" I shook my head "Selena war is terrible, people die. Soldier die too but what happened today was the cause of a terrible strategy"

The men started to calm down again.

I still felt Selena's confusion. "But.."

"Selena, our troops are people too. They may be clones but they are actual humans" I told her gently "They didn't deserve to die like this, we could have cut down over half these deaths with a different strategy. The five thousand commandos, do you think they died fairly?"

I could feel that she was starting to understand.

"The commandos were troops trained for special operations behind enemy lines. Not sieges or attacking directly" I explained "In warfare, frontal assaults like the ones we did today are just plain stupid. We use blasters, ranged weapons not lightsabers. Frontal assaults without cover will just kill everyone not to mention by an army of droids who knows no fear and are endless. Droids could be produced by the quantities but Clones can't. This is the difference between us and them"

Selena turned to the clones "I'm sorry"

They didn't say anything but we felt their happiness of our acknowledgement. No, this is not part of my plan on gaining fame but after coming to this world, I understand how easily I could be killed if I'm not careful. Selena might follow me and I want to give her a chance to survive if order 66 went active. I remember Rex hesitated to follow order 66 because of Ahsoka. I want the same with Selena if I'm not by her side when it happens.

"I can teach you about the deployment tactics too, Selena. That way you wouldn't waste the lives of your men" I suggested

"Really?" She asked

I nodded

"Sir, your ship has arrived" A clone came forwards and announced

"Thank you, I hope to see you all next time boys" I nodded

"Bye" Selena waved her hands at them

"Good luck sir" The clones saluted

"Good luck to you all too" Selena saluted back

I turned and nodded "Good luck boys"

We soon found our ships and left for Coruscant. Selena was quiet the whole trip. We arrived above Coruscant and was told to land in our respective hangers.

After we landed, we walked back to the temple. We would have a funeral for all the fallen Jedi.

"We still have some time before the funeral, we should get clean up and take a rest first" I advised

"mhmm" Selena answered

"Selena?" I turned around and saw that she was close to fainting. It was a long battle and she was injured too.

I went over and helped her walk. "I'll help you back to your room"

"mmhm" She nodded

As we walked back to her room, she fainted in my arms. I had no choice but to carry her back myself. Luckily, the temple at this time was quite empty still so I took her back without a problem. I laid her on her bed and was going to leave when she grabbed me.

She was still sleeping but she was grabbing my hand and wouldn't let me leave. I sighed and tucked her in as I gently removed her grip on my hand.
