The Bad Guy System (BL)

A writer’s flawed work was what Lin always got annoyed at. The protagonist’s golden finger was too broken, the villains were all easily defeated with a pinky, and such. He tries to point it out to the writer but everyone just thinks of him as a hater. One day, a screen popped in front of him. “Go inside and fix the novel? Y/N”

The frosty night air seemed to pierce through Merui's skin as he trudged through the capitol. Even at night, the capitol was still lively and was still bustling with business. The people still wandering the streets avoided him with his scary appearance.

The reason he went to the capitol wasn't just because of Anaiel, it was also because-

"Well, what the fuck happened to you?" A dark blue haired man opened his door, and was immediately greeted with Merui's disheveled appearance.

Merui sighed. "Long story." He said before collapsing on the doorstep.

"Well....that's not very helpful." The blue haired man sighed before dragging Merui inside and closing the door.

....

"So you gonna tell me what happened?" Alex sighed before handing Merui some tea.

"Yeah so, I was completing quests as usual. Just as I was about to a horned toad, I sensed hostile intent coming straight at me."

"Assassins?" Alex frowned. "You're not even remotely famous, who would benefit from your death?"

"...Yeah, I'll get to that later...Anyways, I managed to dodge the dagger that was thrown towards me. The 4 people there seemed startled and after using the horned toads and sustaining quite the injuries, I barely made it out of there alive. The only reason why I'm alive today is because of the skill I got just a week ago." Merui sipped the tea.

"Hm? You got another skill?" Alex's eyes showed a slight relief that Merui wasn't dead, after hearing that story.

"Yeah I accidently stumbled across it in one of the dungeons. Who would have thought it would save my life?" His hands grasped the tea cup tighter.

"Mmm... Oh yeah! Did you find you find out who was behind it?" Alex took a sip of tea himself.

"Well err...you might not believe me...." Merui shifted nervously.

"This is serious matter Merui. Just tell me." Alex coaxed.

"Well...they were sent by Anaiel."

"...Huh?"

___________

"I didn't mention it before, but you have a system store." The system randomly mentioned.

"...And you now just mention it to me?!!!!!" Lin was annoyed that the system was irresponsible enough to forget to mention something as important as this.

"Also, you start off with like....500ish points?" The system ignored Lin's previous statement.

"..." Now that Lin thought about it, this system was vastly different from the one yesterday! Was all of that formal attitude just a hoax to make it look more official?! "Whatever, just open the store."

A screen popped up in front of him. The items listed were things such as, [Dragon Blood: Causes user to instantly become a member of the dragon race], [Teleportation Circle: Allows user and 3 others in the circle to teleport to a specified location], [Cupid's Mysterious Potion: Greatly increases pleasure in bed], and [Warding Totem: Allows user to see a small area around the totem for 8 hours]

All the items seemed pretty normal except for the....potion.

Lin shivered. The shamelessness of the other hosts! Right now, Lin was very poor at the moment. The cheapest item was the [Warding Totem], and that was 5300 points!

"...Sigh, close shop." Lin dismissed the screen after seeing nothing useful he could buy with his points.

It was one day before Merui would come and arrange a meeting with Anaiel. Lin was pretty sure he just had to follow Anaiel's past route. Which was, to be a two faces devil.

This was why Lin also was harsh towards the people from the organization. They were perfect scapegoats as they had no evidence to prove that Anaiel was actually apart of it. When the old Anaiel was still there, he made sure to make sure that other then seeing him in person, they had no other evidence to prove that he was apart of their scheme.

This made Lin's job much easier, so thus, he picked this option.

After this, he should hire some other people to give Merui more challenges. He prepared clothes for tomorrow in order to make sure his plan was perfect.

_______

"....Do you even hear yourself right now?!" Alex rubbed his forehead. A headache was brewing quickly.

"Yes, I even interrogated them with my [Mind Break] skill too..." Merui expected this reaction.

"Sigh, it's not like I don't believe you or anything. Its just...you could get arrested for treason if you even dare utter anything bad about him. And if the guards don't get to you in time, the townspeople would." The citizens loved Anaiel so much that they would pumble anyone who dared speak rudely about him.

"..." Merui looked away. "Well, I'm going to visit him tomorrow."

"....Hah, well if you wanted to shock me to death today, then you fucking did it." Alex slumped on his chair as he stared incredulously at Merui before sighing. "I'm joining you, and you can't say no."

"Bu-"

"No."

"...."

________

Lin put on a white suit. It complemented his lean body, and increased his charm. His soft, blond shoulder length hair was tied in a neat ponytail, with strand hanging out in the front. With this, he waited in his room for Merui to come.

"Young Master, Merui has requested for a visit." Elliot reported.

"Hmmm...the adventurer correct?" Anaiel lounged lazily, setting down his book.

"Correct. Would you like to decline?" Elliot didn't expect for Anaiel to accept a sudden request from a commoner.

"...No, I shall meet him. Prepare the meeting room immediately."

"Shall we also bring refreshments?" Elliot didn't let his surprise show on his face.

"Tch, obviously. Have you grown more dim witted?" Anaiel impatiently sneered.

"O-Of course not Young Master, I'll excuse myself now." Elliot hurried out. Lin felt bad for him, but he really couldn't just break character or else he would die! T^T

Meanwhile, Merui and Alex were sitting nervously in the grand meeting room. Alex had prepared a teleportation skill just in case anything went wrong. As the clock hit 2:00, Anaiel finally emerged.

"Why hello Merui, I see you have brought your friend as well." Anaiel smiled, which could have easily charmed any young maiden's heart immediately jump out of their chest.

Alex flinched nervously, and Merui nudged him to focus on his teleportation skill.

"Yeah uhm, I just have a quick question for you Your Excellency."

"Hm? What is it Merui?" Anaiel tilted his head slightly, letting his loose strands sway to the side.

"Were you the one who sent people to kill me?"

Yikes, no wonder the world fell apart on its own! Poor stupid Merui just blantantly admitted that he knew it was Anaiel who sent people to kill him. If the book was more realistic, then Anaiel would have send people to search hell and heaven in order to save his reputation T^T. Anyways, I meant to publish on Saturday, but I had a rough day. Koru also isn't here since she has her own things. Comment if you see any errors!
