First Day

As I took a step inside the loud yet soft-spoken room, I couldn't help but shiver a little from the cold temperature inside.

The muttering and the casual conversations didn't quiet down, as if they did not care who came in. A few individuals did seem to notice my presence, though. One is Kath, who was talking to Magnus in the bottom front seat, and of course the other is Magnus himself.

" Hey… " She awkwardly greets me as I was directly in front of her as soon as I took a step inside.

I replied with a casual smile and greeted her back. I didn't really know her that well, at least without the fact that I wrote her myself, so I could only act casually.

Magnus, who was behind her, looked at me with some doubt in his eyes. This man is quite untrusting after all.

After greeting them, I also caught the eyes of a few individuals I didn't really recognize but were still part of the top placers among the first years.

As I go along the stairs, going up to find an empty seat, the other main characters finally enter my vision.

In the middle of quite possibly the biggest crowd in the entire classroom, and the source of most of the noise inside, was a blonde guy with bright blue eyes. He was an incredibly good-looking man who looked incredibly elegant, as if he were an angel. The way he was carrying himself in the conversations also shows his charismatic capabilities, exposing the reason for the size of the crowd surrounding him.

Dante Lux. The grandson of the Emperor and the rival of Magnus himself.

A very rational and ambitious person who always clashed with Magnus in regard to his morals. Despite public opinion of him being an absolute angel, his private persona is quite deserving of his title as a prince of the biggest kingdom in the whole world, being very cold and calculative.

He's a scary person who treats people as pawns, and despite only trusting himself in major tasks, he's not afraid to use people in whatever way he seems fit.

As I go towards the middle section of the class, two more people I well recognize show up to my face.

With a few people surrounding him as well, a man who had a lean build and well-defined muscles sat in one of the seats. He had a very strong appeal to him, with sharp features and edges. His bright red hair and eyes didn't help his case, causing his already strong image to exude.

Leon Rondell, a man who has been compared to Dante since their childhood, A talented guy who, just like Dante, is also a prince of a kingdom. A man who is normally quiet and focuses on reaching his dream. To be the strongest man in the world. He's very simple, yet power-hungry, challenging most people he thinks he could beat.

And last but not least, the person I so strongly wanted to meet yet dreaded the day I did so.

A girl who has short black hair that goes to her shoulders. A lady so beautiful, she was conned the Aphrodite of humanity. Long eyelashes and bright gray eyes that glistened from the bright lights. She had bright pink lips and a well-defined nose that it was an understatement to call her pretty.

I might just be biased, but I know the people back on Earth wouldn't think so.

Although obvious by now, she was someone I based off of a person back on Earth. A model that shook the entire industry simply with her looks, a model I so luckily met during my years as one, and a lady I luckily fell in love with. And a lady I didn't deserve to be with.

It's best not to pry on matters I left back in that place.

Despite being a carbon copy, that's a different person. She's one of the main characters of the story, and she's one of the strongest among them.

I need to focus on pressing matters at hand.

I took a seat in one of the empty spaces without minding it much. I had some small talks with a few individuals as I waited for the professor to come in. It felt like a waste of time to just sit there, though, as the artifact that I wanted to get was looming in my mind. I knew the general location of it, but I don't specifically know its details.

I wrote it without thinking much, as it was just given to a cannon fodder that was supposed to showcase some of the main character's strengths.

I might need some help.

As I go through my thoughts, the door to our room opens, causing the rowdiness to fall off.

A man with blonde, pushed-back hair enters the room. He had a fierce yet refined look, thanks to his sharp eyes and round glasses. He was wearing a black formal suit as he carried a clipboard on his arms.

He walks towards the front and reaches the lectern before placing the clipboard on his hands on top of it.

"Good morning, class. " His rough yet full voice escapes his mouth, causing the people who were uneasy to feel somewhat relaxed.

He seemed incredibly reliable and experienced.

" I'm Dragunov Hilsman. The professor responsible for you lots this year. "He says with a casual yet seemingly bored tone, as if he were sick and tired of his job.

"You might know me as Hillsman Draco, but I'm sure you do not care about that. I know most of you came from incredible bloodlines with people as strong as I am. "He looks around the room before locking eyes with Magnus and me, who were also staring at him.

"There's some exceptions, however. Very interesting individuals who somehow show talent just as strong as people who are already incredible even among their bloodlines. "

" I'm certain this will be a year unlike any, so I hope every single one of you prepares to be under my care. You might die otherwise… " With the same blunt tone, as if he were not talking about our imminent deaths, he casually lets out a bombshell of a line, causing some anxiety on the faces of others.

"This is just your orientation, as I'm responsible for all the announcements for this school year. You still have your own respective classes, so I won't hold on to you guys any longer. "

Yesterday evening, I was delivered a letter in front of my dorm room indicating all the classes that I had been assigned. I wasn't really thinking much about what class I was assigned, as Miss Scarlet had direct control over the said classes.

They were all centered around mana gathering and basic magic theories, apart from some swordsmanship training and an illusion class from Gio.

Although I know they're all tailored for my growth, I know I wouldn't enjoy them in the least. Though I have the protection of Miss Scarlet, the fact that I have to interact with a crazy bastard while being this powerless is still quite nerve-wracking.

Still, they were all useful for my growth, as expected from Miss Scarlet. Besides the obvious magic theories, swordsmanship is one of the most common forms of martial arts and physique training in this world. Illusionists focus on the mind and sense; there's no particular attack power in terms of its skill set, so most use a weapon to finish off their opponents.

I have a different weapon in mind, though. It's good enough for now, as I'm not certain how long it will be until I can get my hands on that weapon.

"I can't believe they let bastards casually enter 1A like it's nothing. "As I was preparing to go to my second class, someone casually walked in front of my desk as they casually looked down on me, as if they were talking to someone else.

It was clear that I was the target, though, as they weren't hiding the side eye that was clearly directed at me.

" Hi. "I say it with the most blunt expression I could have.

The others who were watching the scene had blunt expressions on their faces as well, maybe because they already expected this to happen.

Well, it was the same as me, but to think they were this upfront and bold.

"Tsk, was beating up the delivery boy of a peasant family that impressive for you? "Another guy joined the first person in front of me, causing the attention towards me to grow even more.

As expected, people from this class already had information on each other. I wouldn't be even surprised that someone here already knows about my background.

The two men, who had the same black hair and snake-like eyes, grin as if they had succeeded in finally releasing the anger they've been containing.

"The twins are at it again," someone whispers.

Oh, right, I finally remember who these people are. The lackeys of Jun Mino, the same guy who I ran into during the interviews.

They were responsible for terrorizing Magnus during his entire time in the academy, so I'm certain it wouldn't be any different now.

And just as I expected,.

"I can't believe two roaches from the streets made it into the sacred ground of Front. This is utter nonsense, don't you guys think? "One of the twins says before glancing at Magnus and me.

" Two products of crazy bastards who only breed without working an ounce in their lives. Parasites who live off the streets. " He says in a very condescending tone, while making sure he was loud enough for everyone to hear him.

What made him so confident, most wonder? Even I couldn't help but think this bastard might be crazy.

But as I looked at Jun and both of the twins grins on their faces, I couldn't help but smile myself.

I'm really pissed off right now, and the fact that Magnus was someone I based off of me, made the smile on my face grow. As I was looking at a white haired man who had quite an interesting look on his face.
