63 Arc 3: Chapter 63

Elenor was stuck in bed, groaning in pain and regretting her life decisions. She really should have stopped at the third bottle of wine. Now it was biting her ass with a massive headache pounding against her head.

Luckily when she woke up she had already puked out all the contents in her stomach until she was drained of life. Alec even had to carry her back to the bed before bringing some warm soup for her.

Mumbling a thank you, she slowly drank the soup blessing whoever had created it. She wordlessly finished her soup in which Alec swiftly cleaned the bowl up just as she took her last spoon of soup.

Another moment of silence passed before she had the energy to speak, "Where are they?"

"They had left around late morning, it is now late afternoon."

Elenor nodded, regretting that she wasn't able to see them off. She placed her head on the pillow once again but she couldn't fall asleep for some particular reason. Her gaze fell on Alec and continued to linger on him until he began walking over to her.

Something was different. She could feel it. It was like a gut feeling that kept persisting stubbornly. Elenor debated with herself and not long after she spoke again,

"Did I…" she halt her sentence, looking around nervously, licking her lips before continuing,

"..do anything last night?" she asked, peering over at Alec.

What she hoped that Alec would say, "No you did not." never arrived and instead silence fell.

Her face grew pale, understanding what that silence meant. She truly did something while she was drunk! And what's worse was that she couldn't remember! Panic fell over her, wondering what she had done.

"But you have told me to help you remember the events of yesterday." Alec spoke up, easing her panic.

She turned to him and nodded, "Well? Tell me!"

Alec contemplated before replying, "It is better to show instead of telling."

Elenor gawked at him, puzzled. Alec let out a breathy chuckle before leaning down, placing a small peck on her lips. He moved back to his original position and calmly spoke as if he had done nothing.

"That happened."

She absentmindedly stared at him before everything settled in. In a flash, her face grew red as if she was drunk once again. No words were able to come out of her mouth as she gawked at Alec with shocked eyes.

She had kissed him when she was drunk.

At this moment, she wanted to dig a hole for herself and stay there like a mole in hiding. She sobbed in her heart at how embarrassing she was. Alec allowed her to calm herself before he said more.

"Milady also said that a drunk person's words are always the truth and she also said she loved this butler of hers."

Elenor glared at him with her face extremely red. He was teasing her and she couldn't fight back. Alec had a small smirk on his face before taking one step closer to her.

"When I asked if milady would take back everything she had done, she said never." he side eyed at her before smiling.

"Which means milady must take responsibility for your actions."

Elenor gulped, looking away, "What..what do you want me to do?"

"I would like you to answer a few of my questions truthfully."

"..Okay." she agreed, nodding at his request.

A smile was shown shortly before he began asking her questions,

"Does milady want me by her side?"

"..Yes."

"Do you favour his highness or me more?"

"You of course."

"Then how about my lord?"

Elenor: "???"

"...You." she slowly answered.

"Do you love me?"

"...Alec.."

"Milady, do you love me?"

Elenor sucked in her breath before nervously nodding, "Y..yes.."

Alec nodded at her answer, "This is my last question milady,"

Elenor nodded, waiting for his next and final question.

"Will you allow me to be your lover then?"

The question caught her off guard but when she saw a genuine serious face staring at her, she answered before she could stop herself from blurting out those words,

"This...are you sure?"

He raised an eyebrow at her statement, "What do you mean am I sure?"

She fumbled with her fingers, "Are you sure you want this? This could just be a simple fleeting crush-"

Elenor's sentence was forced to a halt when Alec pressed his forehead against hers. His stare bore into hers intensely letting her unable to look away from his.

"You think that I only have a simple puny crush on you?"

"I-"

"Milady, I don't know if you've noticed but I would never go as far as this, just for a simple crush."

Alec caressed her cheek, his eyes which were fixated on her fell to her lips before it returned back up to her honey eyes,

"I love you. Even if you beg me to stop I won't be able to do it. I want you, all of you. I will do whatever it takes to get you."

"So I'll ask again. Will you allow me to be your lover? Hyejin."

A sigh slipped out of her lips, "You really think you're in love with me? I'm someone who suddenly became your master, your past abuser."

The thoughts that have been weighing on her mind finally slipped out.

"I will never forget all the things she has done to me, I still want to kill her, end her life with my own hands but if it's you in her body it's impossible. I can never harm you." he sighed,

"I don't think I am in love with you. I know I am." he added on.

She stared into his eyes, hoping there was a slight hesitate in them but there were none. He meant everything he had said.

Seeing this, Elenor gave in.

"Yes."

He blinked at her. Elenor rolled her eyes before adding on from her previous sentence,

"Yes, I allow you."

Although there wasn't that much of a difference, she could see how his eyes lit up with happiness. He pulled her into a tight hug. Elenor helplessly smiled, wrapping her arms around him, hugging back.

"...You are seriously willing to make me your lover?" she softly questioned once more.

She was in the body of someone who had hurt him gravely yet he still loved her. She was someone not from this world and one day could suddenly disappear yet he didn't care about those things and continued to love her.

In truth she was delighted- heck she was ecstatic that he had asked her to be his lover although their status was far too different. They could only hide their relationship until it was safe to announce.

Alec nodded without hesitation.

"I have been waiting for a long time to make you mine." he answered whole heartedly.

Happiness welled up in her heart that she couldn't help but smile. She changed her mind. She didn't want to leave this world anymore.

She wanted to stay. For Alec and everyone she cared for.

"Do you love me that much?" she teased, laughing.

Alec sighed at her before kissing her lips.

"Of course. So much that I would do anything to have you." Even hide you away where I only have you to myself. Alec said but left the last part out, keeping it to himself.

"...Don't be so serious when you say things like that after kissing..." Elenor mumbled, covering her face with her palms as she leaned against him.

Alec sat at the edge of the bed before embracing Elenor's body, running his fingers through her hair before kissing strands of it.

"You won't leave me right?" Elenor insecurely asked.

"Hm. If I can't leave, you aren't allowed too." he answered half joking half serious.

Elenor laughed at his statement and nodded, "En. I won't leave as well." she grinned.

Alec couldn't resist smiling when he saw hers. He intertwined their fingers together, placing light kisses on her fingertips before closing the space between them.

Elenor fluttered her eyes shut, waiting for Alec to kiss her.

Then a frantic knock was heard, startling the two of them. Elenor quickly moved away while Alec stood up, having an aloof look on his face.

"Come in." Elenor spoke out.

Alice came in with an indescribable look on her face with a tinge of confusion.

"Miss there's a letter for you."

"Who is it from?" she asked, looking at the letter in her maid's hand.

Alice awkwardly looked down at the letter before back at her. The next words from Alice startled her silly,

"Vaidia kingdom."
