New Techqniques

Alex sighed as he returned inside; he should find some techniques now. "System, do you have any suggestions for me?" Alex inquired.

[Do you have any thoughts, host?]

"Because I just got a weapon, I want something related to it." Alex decided to look for a sword technique that would help him with his new weapon first.

[Wait a second; I'd look for one right now.] The system started searching for something that would fit his needs, and Alex waited patiently as he walked through the aisle.

After a few minutes, the system sounded in his head,

[Okay, I found one suitable for your katana.] The system spoke up and kept going.

[It's on the fourth shelf of the dark wood bookcase in the third aisle.]

Alex approached the bookcase and scanned the shelves until his gaze landed on the fourth shelf.

"Which one?" While looking through the books, he inquired,

[The one with a blue cover and a faded gold label with the title "Sword Slash" on it,]

As he ran his fingers across the spines, Alex found the book he was looking for and pulled it off the shelf

Alex carefully removed the book from the shelf. He examined the book after taking it and noticed that the cover was a vibrant shade of blue and the gold label contained the title "Sword Slash."

"That should be it." Alex thought to himself; he was sure that this was the book he had been looking for, so he stepped back to the balcony and opened the book, paging through its contents.

Opening the first page of the book, Alex read the words written on it, and as he read, he realized that this was the book he had been looking for and that it was indeed a technique suitable for his blade.

[Sword Slash]

[Grade:Mortal-Low]

[Requirement: Sword cultivator]

[Description: A sword slash using this technique can do twice as much damage as the wielder.]

It was a low grade technique appropriate for a body refinement cultivator like him, and Alex knew that even if he got something better, he wouldn't be able to use it because other advanced techniques would require Qi that Alex didn't yet have.

If he wanted to start using these kinds of techniques, he would need to reach the Qi Gathering realm first. Alex stopped reading and watched the children below him train, various thoughts swirling through his mind.

After a few hours of watching the sparring, Alex decided to grab more techniques to read.

The moon was high in the sky before Alex snapped out of reading and realized what time it was. Stretching his body, Alex stood up and left the clan library, and headed back home, and fell asleep.

The next morning, Alex woke up and walked to his wardrobe. He opened it and took out his favorite black shirt, pants, and robe.

"I guess I'll go read some more before starting training in them today." Thought Alex as he walked out of his home. He walked to the clan library and up the stairs to the same book aisle as he visited yesterday.

He had read several books the day before, but only two stood out to him.

One of them was named, "the ending fist." Yes, a strange name for a fist technique, but Alex liked it, and the implications weren't all that bad; in fact, they were quite good.

The other technique was called Force Dodge, and it was also a low-level technique appropriate for Alex. Its main purpose was to allow Alex to escape any situation he found himself in.

Now that he was leaving the clan, he would need something to help him escape, at the very least, an attack. He wanted to pick a movement technique, but he needed to get to the Qi Gathering realm first, and the system told him he didn't need one.

The system told him that the reward for completing his new mission would be a movement technique that was superior to the techniques available here, so he should choose something that would allow him to avoid a surprise attack.

He also wanted to look for a body cultivation technique, but the system stopped him; the system informed him that he already had one, which confused Alex.

When did he start using a body technique?

Alex had no recollection of ever beginning to practice a body technique. Fortunately, the system informed him of something he was unaware of: the non-dimensional God refining technique was a cultivation technique for both Qi and body cultivation.

Not only that, but the system informed him that this was the best cultivation technique in existence; if he cultivated this technique to its peak, the system told Alex that he could do anything he ever wanted and no one could stop him.

Hearing such bold words from the system, Alex knew the system was not joking, and the more the system talked about the technique, the more Alex's mind was completely blown away. Every time he enters a new realm, his body's cultivation will increase to the same level.

It was completely broken!

According to Alex, the levels of body cultivation were the same as the levels of Qi cultivation, so practicing both at the same time was not impossible, but it was time-consuming because the person needed to cultivate his Qi first, then his body; both were separate.

And now you're telling him he can do both at once! Still, he received another shocking message from the system, the technique would become stronger and more useful as he got stronger.

After a few hours, Alex stopped reading. He had a clearer understanding of how he would need to use these new techniques; they seemed daunting, but he was confident that with enough time and effort, he could master them.

Alex put the books back in place, walked down the steps of the clan library, and headed to another location.

"It's time to apply what I've learned. The best place should be the martial arts arena," Alex reasoned.
