Zalfick left the castle in the company of two royal guards. Apparently, being the prince of the empire, he was not allowed to leave the castle, without the protection of a few guards.
Zalfick did not mind this at all, since he currently didn't have any magic to protect himself. Still, he wasn't really fond of relying on the protection of others. If anything, he would have loved to protect himself. After all, the said guards protecting him, could turn out to be wolves in sheep clothing. So because of that, Zalfick was alert, and walked cautiously.
The Morverian imperial castle was located close to the center of the capital city in Ruswer, the federal capital country. And scattered around this country were regional territories, which were ruled by a number of kingdoms and lesser dukedoms. However, knowing all this, Zalfick still couldn't help but marvel at the grand and beautiful city around him.
The capital city was ablaze with a fervor that was oddly and surprisingly similar to the time of earth's industrial revolution. However, it was still different at the same time.
There were towering buildings, houses and factories, which dominated a good portion of the city. And lined on the busy road, were magical steam-powered automobile vehicles, along with a few number of carriages, drawn by large strange ostrich like birds. Looking at these drawn carriages, Zalfick could tell that they were mostly used by traders to traverse difficult terrains, and sell their goods in the city.
The air in the capital city was fresh. Oddly enough, it wasn't at all polluted, and filled with the scent of coal and smoke, as one would expect from a city with a good number of steam engines. It seems the magical artifacts used in building the engines, did a good job of getting rid of the smoke.
However, Zalfick wasn't concerned about that, because at that very moment, he began to feel the immense and pure mana in the air.
'So... this is the feeling of mana. The same mana I always see in fantasy RPG video games, back on earth.' Zalfick thought excitedly.
He had an affinity to magic. A strong one in fact. So it shouldn't come as a surprise that he was able to feel the pure mana in the air. However, Zalfick currently wasn't able to use that mana to his advantage, and he knew the reason.
Summoning the glyph, Zalfick saw that his mana core, which was responsible for absorbing and storing the mana in the air, was currently dormant. It would only awaken when he gets a magic power of his own. So for now, the pure mana in the air was of no use to Zalfick. Still, he enjoyed it's freshening feeling.
"Where will you be going to, your highness?" one of the guards asked, distracting Zalfick from his thoughts.
Hearing that, he dismissed the glyph and thought for a while. There were a lot of places he would like to go to. There was a really popular tavern called Ravenheart, in the capital city that sells good drinks and exquisite dishes. There was also the market square, were traders go to sell their goods. Zalfick also wanted to check out the capital city's seaside resort.
But in the end, he decided to go to the market square. His reason for that was simple. The market square was located at the very center of the city, and as a result of that, it was a bit closer to the castle.
On the other hand, the seaside resort and the Ravenheart tavern, were located far north of the capital city, and it was going to take a lot of time to get there on foot. Sure he could still use one of the many automobile vehicles in the castle, but Zalfick just wanted to go for a simple stroll. Plus, he was quite curious to see what kind of goods were sold by the traders of this world.
"I will be going to the market square to check out a few items on sale." Zalfick replied.
And with that, they began to walk through the streets of the city. Looking around the bustling street, he saw that the people were neatly dressed in elegant renaissance outfits. Well, that's to be expected because the majority of the capital city's residents, were nobles. However, that was not the only thing he noticed. For some reason, people were staring at him. Especially the ladies.
'Is there something on my face?' Zalfick wondered.
He soon ignored their stares, and decided to check out the magical enchanments of the glyph. Thus, he summoned it.
The now familiar golden texts appeared in front of him:

Zalfick focused on the glyph enchanments, and began to read their descriptions.

[Kingly Chest]: This is a special chest, were the user's obtained items can be stored.
[Linguistics]: Grants the user the ability to freely understand the words and languages of this world.
'I see. The glyph enchanments aren't bad at all. I even have a game like inventory.' Zalfick thought after reading the descriptions.
He then looked at a number of people happily walking across the street, and activated the [Inspect] enchanment. Almost instantly, and barely noticeable, his eyes began to glow in a pale golden shimmer. And Immediately after that, he began to see golden words, hovering on top of their individual heads.
Reading these golden words, Zalfick realized that it was their personal info. However, he still wanted to confirm for sure, and know if that info was indeed accurate. So he threw a glance at one of the guards walking behind him.
NAME: Sabastian Peters
TITLE: Worshipper Of Olwyn, The God Of Fire, Sun, Light, And War

Seeing this, Zalfick turned to the said guard, and asked,
"What's your name?"
"My name is Sabastian Peters, your highness." The guard replied.
Aiden simply nodded, and continued walking.
'So the information is really accurate. I can definitely get used to this.' He thought, before deactivating the [Inspect] enchanment.
