23 MANIPULATION

In the Hokage's office.

"Sigh....most people think that I'm the leader of this village, little do they know that I'm actually the slave." Said the Hokage with a bitter smile as he stared at the pile of paperwork in front of him.

Then he suddenly he turned to a corner in the wall and said in an icy tone.

"Danzo I know you're there, get out and state your purpose!"

"Oh, I see that all those years on that desk haven't ruined your Ninja senses Sarutobi." At the place this eerie voice originated from, a shadow started materializing.

If one looked only at his figure, they would only see a frail looking old man, who even had bandages over one of his eyes and used a cane to support himself. But if one looks at his aura they will know right away that this is only a mask and under this mask is a horrifying demon.

"Cut the crap Danzo and speak your purpose or I shall have to ask you to leave."

"Fine then, it's come to my attention that Naruto has been learning new techniques from some great sage."

"So what? Don't tell me you came here expecting me to praise you on your information gathering."

"Now I think it's your turn to cut the crap Sarutobi, those techniques he is learning form that sage are priceless for the village right now. All we need is authorisation for the interrogation and we will get all of it from him in a day."

"Danzo just because I tolerate your existence doesn't mean I won't kill you when you start spouting nonsense, Naruto is a shield for this village and you know that, besides he's just a kid. I won't allow you to abuse him."

"Hahahahaha, if I didn't know you, I would have believed your hypocritical words. Let's talk about how the entire village suddenly knew about him being the jinchuriki even though it was supposed to be an S-rank secret huh."

"Y-you, h-how.."

"Shocked aren't you, I was also surprised when I found out. You actually released that secret to isolate him from the village then you swooped in and started drilling those ideas about being Hokage into his mind quite smart really."

"Now the Naruto can't spend a day with out yelling 'I'M GOING TO BE HOKAGE'hahahahaha."

"DANZO!!! I think you have mistaken my patience for weakness." As the Hokage said this the room suddenly became consumed with a terrifying amount of chakra.

Then the hole room became quite for a few minutes before the Hokage spoke.

"Sigh....Danzo you know the reason I did all that was for this village, even though he didn't deserve it I had no other choice. The village is growing weaker and you know it."

"We lost The Uchiha, Minato and two of our Sanin. And we have a lot of enemies that dream of this village's destruction one of our Sanin included."

"So, sigh...I decided to groom a Hokage , a Hokage which has undying loyalty for the village. And Naruto was the best candidate, the Uchiha had fallen from grace ever since the nine tail fox's attack, and the Hyuga had grown incredibly weak so a jinchuriki was the next best thing."

"I isolated him from the village for two reasons one, I didn't want him to dream about anything else other than being Hokage and two give him a reason to fight for which is the people's respect. As he saw how respectful people were to me his heart secretly started to develop desire for this position."

"And as you can see it has worked. He now wants nothing more than to be Hokage it has even gone to a point that he is obsessed, now if something were to happen to me there is still an extra layer of defence for this village."

"The reason I'm telling you all this, is so that you can understand that I already know I manipulated Naruto, but I only did it for the village. But What I won't ever do is let you torture the son of a hero, Danzo."

"Fine then I won't torture him but I will still pay him a visit. Who knows, he might actually give up all his secrets for the good of the village." After saying this the figure of Danzo vanished into his shadow.

At Naruto's house.

Naruto was having a hard time right now, he wanted to stop these memories from resurfacing but it was like he wasn't in control of his own mind. Every time he tries to think about something else it's like he just couldn't.

[Host doesn't need to worry, this is a trial every king has to go through on his way to power. Every one has their inner demons that they should get rid of as it will harm them.]

[But a king need to learn to be at peace with them, for example host has Obsessive Compulsive Disorder which originated from the past, now host can see what causes it from the root and cure it.]

[These memories will also strengthen host's resolve and help unlock some of the systems hidden functions.]
