ادبيات څه ته وايي؟ وړاندې له دې، چې د ماشومانو ادبيات و پېژنو اړينه ده،  پخپله د ادبياتو او ادب پر معنا ځان پوى کړو. د ادب او ادبياتو په هکله ادب پوهانو بېلا بېل نظرونه څرګندکړيدي،  هر چا د خپل فکر او ليد لوري له  مخې ادبيات تعريف کړي دي، دلته په همدغه اړه د ځينو ادب پوهانو نظرونه را اخلو : لوی استاذ عبدالحی حبيبي ادب داسې راپېژنی: "ادب د لغت او اصطلاح له مخې ښېګړه ده ، چې سړى له خطا او بدو څخه ساتي او په  خوى او خلق اړه لري،  چې بيان يې د اخلاقو د علم کار دى".1 " لغوي معنا خو يې تهذيب دى او څه شى، چې له چا ياکوم شي سره لايق او مناسب وي هم ادب ورته ويل کيږي؛ لکه: د مجلس اداب، د معاشرې اداب او داسې نور ... اصطلاحاً ادب هغه پوهه ده چې انسان پخپله وينا او بيان کې له خطا او غلطۍ څخه ساتي، ځکه ادبي علوم هماغه علوم بلل کيږي، چې د وينا ښه والى او بدوالى، غلط او صحيح، خوږوالى او پيکه توب ښيي او په  منثور او منظوم کلام کې د فصاحت او بلاغت له خوا بحث کوي".2 پوهاند صديق الله رښتين يې په اړه داسې څرګندونې کړې دي :" د عربو په  لغت کې د پوهې زېرکۍ ، بلنې او د هر شي د اندازې د ساتلو په  معنا وو راغلى دى او په  اصطلاح کې ادب  پر دوه ډوله دى،  يو نفسي ادب چې اخلاقي فضيلت او ښيګړې ته وايي او بل داسې ادب دى،  چې له دې څخه مطلب په  ښه طريقه ويل او ليکل او خپل مطلب ښکاره کول دي".3 دادبي تنقيد کتاب ليکوالان  يې په اړه داسې وايي:  "د عربي ژبې د دې ټکي  ډېر مفاهيم بيان شوي دي د مثال په  توګه ! مېلمستېا ، د اخلاقو صفايي د نفس پاکې ، عادت ، طريقه ،بلنه  يوه خاصه مخه ، مورثي تقاليد، يو ښکلى څيز ، ښکلى تربيت ، پالنه ، دسيرت ښکلا او داسې  ډېرې نورې معنا ګانې مونږ وينو".4 داشنايی با ادبيات کودکان کتاب ليکوال وايي: " ادبيات د هنر بنسټيز او اصلي رکن ګڼل کيږي ، چې د هنر ټولې رشتې تر اغېزې لاندې  راولي ، ادبيات کله  له تاريخ  سره يو ځاى وي، خو له  تمدن  څخه بيل نه  وي ، د هر قوم د تمدن او فرهنګ اغېزې د هغوى په  ادبي اثارو کې له  ورايه څرګندې  وي ، د هر  قوم، طايفي او ملت په  ادبياتو کې د هغوى د حالاتو انعکاس ، کړه وړه  ، اداب ، دودونه  او ملي  رسوم ، انعکاس  زموږ د دې خبرې ثبوت دى". 5 ايرانی ليکوال ډاکټرصادق سلطان القرايي يې داسې تعريفوي: " د هر قوم يا ملت  د اظهاراتو مجموعه چې د کلام په  چوکاټ کې واچول شي د هغه  قوم يا ملت ادبيات ورته ويل کيږي".6 د ادبيات کودکان کتاب ليکوال   وايي: " په  بېلا بېلو بڼو او شکلونو کې د الفاظو او کليماتو په وسيله د احساساتو ، عواطفو او افکارو د تعبير او بيان څرنګوالي ته ادب يا ادبيات وايي"7 په  ادبپوهنه نومې کتاب کې يې په اړه داسې راغلي دي: " هره هغه  ممتازه  وينا ګړنۍ ( شفاهي) وي که ليکنۍ ، نظم وي که  نثر خو چې هنري ارزښت ولري ادب بلل کيږي". 8 زموږ دروند او قدرمن استاذ حبيب الله جاج پښتون زوى  په خپل درسې لېکچر نوټ کې ادبيات داسې راپېژني :"د الفاظو او کليمو شعوري انتخاب او منطقي ترتيب ، د جملو شعوري پيوستون او د خامو موادو په  څېر د روانو خبرو اترو په  ژبه يو داسې خاص شکل تحميلو لو ته وايي، چې ترنم او موسقيت په کې پيدا شي، د انسان د ښکلا پر احساس مثبت تاثير وکړي،  د بشري  ژوند له  نادرستو اړخونو او د اجتماعي عدالت له غير عادلانه صحنو څخه پرده پورته کړي او ټولنه د هغوى سمون ته راوپاروي". 9   د ادب او ادبياتو په اړه مو بېلابېل تعريفونه ولوستل، که څه  هم په دغو تعريفونو کې د الفاظو، کليماتو او غونډلو له مخې له ورايه څرګند توپير معلوميږي، خو يو شى، چې نيږدې  په  ټولو تعريفونو کې په  بېلا بېلو بڼو څرګند شوى  هغه د هنر،  الفاظو او بشري  ژوند ته د چوپړ مسله وه،  که  د ادب او ادبياتو د تعريف په اړه خپلې خبرې  رالنډې کړو  نو د يادشوو تعريفونو په پام کې نيولو سره ويلى شو، چې:  ادب يا ادبيات د انسان د ذهن او تخيل هغه هنري الفاظ او زېږنده ده، چې انسان ته د بشري ژوند نيمګړتياوې  ور په ګوته کوي او د هغو سمون ته يې هڅوي
