The Encounter

"It's almost time, so... Class dismissed," said the teacher who was looking at her watch right on time before the bell rang.

It's lunchbreak and every student inside the campus is coming out of its classrooms as the bell rang, making all classes put to a stop and will continue after the lunch break.

Jejo got all his stuff inside his bag and wondered where his sister and cousin could've been now. He guessed that they would probably be in the cafeteria too or somewhere there naturally because it's noon.

"Hey, wanna go together in the cafeteria?" asked Jasper, his new friend in their classroom so far.

"Yeah, but I've got company when we get there" he replied.

"Oh, and who might that be?"

"My sister and my cousin, I'm guessing that they would be there, too"

"Oh, okay"

"Sure you wanna come with me or you probably have other plans with other friends you have?"

"Hmm I'm not so sure"

Jejo was left confused when Jasper said that and paused for a second looking at Ebony then at him lifting his eyebrow and a playful smirk. His eyes were like sparkling with confusion and as well as curiosity of something.

Ebony was just getting her stuff inside her bag, and just ignored the two of them and went ahead of them out from the classroom. And so did the other students in the class when they were dismissed by their class teacher.

"Let's go! I don't seem to see my other friends right now" said Jasper while making a burst of small laughter. "I might introduce you later to them, and Ebony as well"

"Why mentioning her all of a sudden dude?"

"I can see it in your eyes"

"What is so wrong with my two eyes that you guys even see?"

Jasper just smiled and rolled his eyes while heading out ahead of Jejo out of their classroom but waited for him outside. And then Jejo came out next. They then went to the school cafeteria.

"It's obvious that you seem interested in her, and don't worry it's only natural. I've had friends and seen other guys hitting on her"

"Well you've probably known her closer than them, right?"

"Guess you seem to see right through me too huh? ... It's a long story"

"Oh, Okay"

As soon as they get nearer the cafeteria, Jejo laid eyes on the crowd looking for his sister and his cousin. But he didn't find any signs of them yet. It would probably be easier if he also had a cellphone too to contact them.

Still, no sign of them, both of them went to get their food. They fall in line while waiting.

"Still no sign of them?" asked Jasper.

"Uhm nope, where could they be?" replied Jejo while looking left and right and getting his choice of food.

"I don't know man, they could be anywhere" Shrugged Jasper while scooping out a noodle soup into his bowl.

Different kinds of students were in the huge cafeteria and seats are almost getting full, so he must find his sister and cousin before they ran out of seats.

A few seconds later, a few groups of people approached Jasper, it was his friends, probably of the same high school they were in. There were five of them, all of them are males except one who seems to be a girlfriend of one of them. The first one had curly black hair and had a pair of pale green eyes. The second one had silvery-white hair and so are his eyes. And the two that were seemed a couple had the same red hair color with a yellow streak and had a pair of fiery eyes. But the girl with the red hair had her hair permed into two buns. And the last one had black-grey hair and his left eye was black and his right eye was grayish. Jejo was surprised by the looks of them but didn't make it too obvious.

"Heyyy, how's it goin' Jasper!" said one of his friends.

"Oh, there you are guys!"

Just happy normal friends greeting each other.

"Hey, this is Jejo" introduced Jasper to his friends and in return, they let out a smile on their faces.

"Oh hey"

"Nice to meet you!"

"Waddup bro"

"Nice to meet you too" replied Jejo.

"This is Benn, with the double n," continued Jasper pointing at the one with the curly hair. "Leo the white dude, and If you're confused, these two are twins, Jack and Jill"

"Twins?"

"Yeah"

"Oh, I thought-"

"Uh No, but yeah"

Then the so-called twins just smiled and waved at the confusion that Jejo was making.

"Then that's Ray," said Jasper lastly while pointing towards his friend with black-grey hair.

"Our ray of sunshine" added Leo jokingly and everyone in their small group seemed to fall into laughter. Ray then just smirked and bit his lips while putting a death stare at Leo.

Just as then someone approached Jejo from behind his back. It was his sister and cousin.

"Oh finally found you!" said Lilac who already had a tray of her chosen food on her hands.

"We've been looking like ages for you" added Kim who also had a tray of food.

Lilac and Kim noticed that Jejo had company.

"Uh I should get going, it's my sister and my cousin," said Jejo to Jasper as well as gesturing towards his friends.

"Oh hey, guys," said Jejo's sister Lilac.

"Oh, already got friends huh," said Kim while looking at Jejo. "That's great"

Jasper shrugged in agreement and was quite happy about it and his friends gestured towards one another and looked at each other for they've only met Jejo at this moment, so they are seem confused at first. They still have to do proper greetings to a new one but if they were to consider as friends already they are probably happy about it.

"Yeah, this is Jasper and his friends," said Jejo. "I met him in my class" continued while he was pointing at Jasper then to his friends "Them, I've just met them here"

"Hey, nice to meet you!" said Lilac.

"Yeah, cool," said Kim.

"Nice to meet you too" replied Jasper and his friends as well simultaneously.

"Thank you for taking care of our brother but we are afraid that we have to get going," said Lilac towards his brother's friends.

"Oh okay," said Jasper. "See ya again in our next same class Jejo"

"Yeah, sure thing, catch you all later" replied Jejo as soon as Lilac dragged him along with Kim while holding his food and getting far away from Jasper and his friends.

"Hey, careful with that tray of food" added Benn. But they are probably gone now.

"Yeah, nice tip man they really heard you," joked Jasper to Benn in a sarcastic manner.

"I mean who was that?" Benn asked.

"His sister and his cousin,"

"Oh, were they still babysitting?" asked Leo while brushing his silvery hair from his forehead.

"Oh come on be nice"

"I'm chill bruh, just askin'"

"I can't believe you introduced us as twins, Jasper," said Jill.

Then Jasper and his friends went on the other way to look for a seat to eat and talk. It's been quite some time they haven't seen each other for long.

On the other side, Jejo, his sister, and his cousin looked for a vacant seat and finally found three empty ones with a table, exactly for the three of them.

"Okay let's sit here"

"So how was today's morning class?" asked Lilac.

"Yeah it was so-so," said Kim

"Now you, my brother, I guess things escalated pretty fast with you?"

"His my first friend but I could still say that he belongs to my acquaintances"

"Oh you have doubts," said Kim.

"I had my reasons, we don't know how long would he stay"

"Well there are what-ifs in this world"

"But guess what,"

"What? "

"I met this hot guy in my class," said Lilac.

"Oh jeez," said Jejo while making a funny face.

"Like you didn't meet someone in your class huh?" asked Lilac while examining Jejo's face which it reads that he did.

"Oh he did," said Lilac with a giggle.

"No way!" said Kim excitedly.

"What was she like?"

"Stop it, we didn't get to know each other yet"

"So you have interest in her"

"I said stop it"

"Oh, don't worry we won't make fun of you"

"As if!"

They just then smiled and laughed towards one another.

"By the way what happened then about that hot guy?!"

"Oh yes, he was taller than Jejo and had gray eyes, he was so smart that I can't even imagine he reached out to me"

While Lilac and Kim continued chatting about the events during their class hours, Jejo on the other hand was familiarizing a face in his mind.

Back in their village, he used to dream about a girl who was said to be his destiny. It appears in his dreams and gives him some sort of a sign of something about a book in an old library, but he cannot locate where it is. He didn't know about the girl but he quite remembered her face. Until now, it still bothers him because these dreams he had didn't stop until they arrived in this country. He thought it was weird, but didn't seem to mind it for at least it stopped for a while now. And gave him other dreams instead. He thought that he saw someone familiar today, but don't know clearly who it was.

"What are you thinking of brother?" asked his sister.

"Simply nothing," said he in a distracted manner.

"Oh I think I get it"

"Oh, riiighhht, we get it"

"Stop it both of you and eat your stuff"

"By the way, I've seen the library here," said Kim.

"What's it look like?"

"It's huge and I felt something!"

"Could it be a ghost? "

"Why not we go there during break time in the afternoon? "

"Oh sure but where do we meet up? I don't have a cellphone you know"

"Okay, maybe we meet up here again"

"Okay"

"It's settled then"

The Symphstones were known for being a bookworm and it is in their blood that they have an interest in books even though they don't try to push themselves to it. And for the Evergreen's not much quiet but are into things that will intrigue them.

The libraries in this school were told to have secrets, but what else can it possibly give them. Note that the school was rumored to have been founded by the ancient tribes of old and still standing until today, so you too would likely want to explore it.
