Chapter four

Scarlett pov

I wish he could understand my reason for becoming Alpha Axel's mate but he wouldn't just understand.

He won't even believe me and might conclude that my visions are just mere dreams.

I began packing the necessary things I needed, in less than ten minutes, I was done packing.

I dragged my big box along as I went downstairs.

By the time I got back to the sitting room, my father was already up on his feet, he wouldn't stop ranting, cursing and yelling at me.

Lucas rushed to me and helped me out with my heavy box.

My father gave me a long and a hateful state, the look on his face shows how disappointed and angry he was.

He should know I am doing this for my own good.

Does he prefer me dying in the hands of a ruthless Alpha who has no regards for women?

"Scarlett, I am ordering as your father not to step an inch out of this house. I didn't bring you up to become a slut, did Alpha Axel manipulate you or what?"

"Father, I just have to leave, I really hope you can..." he interrupted me before I could even finish speaking.

"Say no more Scarlett, you have to choose between me or your new found mate. Do you know the consequences of what you're doing? You disgraced our Alpha and made him look like a fool in front of his rival, you must apologize to him first instead of leaving to another pack. If you step an inch out of this house, you will cease to be my daughter!" My father threatened and fear gripped me, tears formed in my eyes immediately.

This is not what I expected, I can't allow my father to disown me, why is he being a hard nut?

"We have to leave for our own good! Don't let his threats pin you down, if being disowned is the price you have to pay to save your own life, do it. I am sure he would understand when the time comes," Kyra, my wolf and I gulped.

I wiped the traces of tears on my face and took a deep breath, I just have to do this!

"Let's go," I said slowly to Lucas and we both turned to leave.

"Scarlett! Scarlett! Scarlett!" My father shouted angrily but I never turned to look back at him.

When I got to the entrance, I looked back at him and with tears in my eyes, I mind-linked him.

"Be a good father and live well, I will be back soon."

"If you leave this house, you will stop being my daughter, Scarlett!" My father yelled, I got out and shut the door immediately.

I stood on a spot and tried holding back my tears that threatened to fall.

"Hey, are you okay?" Lucas suddenly asked me and I nodded positively.

"Let's go," I urged and we both left for where his car was parked.

Alpha Damon was sitting and waiting patiently in the backseat while Lucas drove off immediately.

"Are you okay? I could hear your father's scream, did he hit you?" Alpha Axel asked concernedly as he caressed the cheeks my father slapped me.

There was a stain of blood on kips, he wiped them off immediately.

"He is so sweet right?" Kyra whined and I smiled lightly.

My eyes darted to Alpha's Axel face as he cleaned the blood on my lips, the concerned look on his face while doing that was just priceless.

I never made a mistake striking a deal with him, he is surely going to treat me well and protect me.

"It supposed to have healed up since it was just a minor wound," Alpha Axel said, retrieving his hands from my cheeks.

Should I tell him that I was a weak Omega and my wounds heals in the slowest process unlike other werewolves?

What would happen if I told him that? Won't he see me as being too weak to become his mate? What if he suddenly changes his mind and calls off the deal I had with him?

"You have no reason to be scared or even worry, you shouldn't keep the truth from him. Conditioning you to become his before he could grant your requests shows how interested he is in you so don't keep the truth from him. Let him know the truth," Kyra advised and I decided to listen to her..

I took a deep breath before speaking up, I like doing that always, it helps calm my nerves.

Alpha Axel suddenly spoke up before I could,

"You must have a slow healing process right?"

How smart of him, he was able to know the truth before I said anything to him.

"Yes," I replied calmly and he took my hands and rubbed circles von it like he did the other time.

"You don't have to worry, okay? You have me now and I promise to train you to become better and then grow stronger." He promised and my eyes lit up with excitement.

"Really? Thanks so much," I appreciated and he suddenly pulled me closer to him.

I hesitated before encircling my hands around him, hugging him in the process.

"You're mine Scarlett and I will take you back by all means, it doesn't matter if I achieve that by force." Bryton suddenly mind-linked me and I broke the hug immediately.

Alpha Axel looked at me with a puzzled look wondering why I broke free like that,

"Are you okay or did something go wrong? Did I in any way..." I interrupted him before he accused himself.

"Not at all, I..just remembered something, you...shouldn't worry, it's nothing." I stuttered not wanting him to tell him what Bryton said.

"Okay I understand, everything seems to be happening so fast right? I am going to give you space till you pull yourself together," Alpha Axel said and they shifted away from me.

"I thought we promised not to lie to our mate?" Kyra reminded me and I exhaled sharply, I just had to.

I stared at Alpha Axel and noticed he was staring outside the car window, did I make him feel bad?

I shouldn't have just broke free like that,

I relaxed on my seat and faced the window side, the breeze blew in and it helped calm my nerves.

Joining a new pack is like starting afresh, I wonder if they are going to receive me well.

We finally got to the pack house of Wakes pack. I was marveled by its huge and beautiful sight.

The big iron gate was opened by the guards and Lucas drove in immediately. The pack houses were so large and beautiful, that his pack was far larger than Dark Moon Pack.

We got to Alpha Axel's mansion and I couldn't close my mouth, it was the largest with the most beautiful design.

One would know that it's the abode of Alpha Axel because it was standing out among other houses.

It was a twelve storey building, is he living all alone in this gigantic mansion?

"Hey! Are you going to come out or would you keep staring till a fly enters your mouth?" Alpha Axel teased as he opened the car door for me to come out. I jerked back to reality.

I didn't even realize that Lucas already parked the car and Alpha Axel already got out of the car.

I was carried away by the beautiful mansions most especially Alpha Axel's.

I came out of the car and Alpha Axel stretched his hands , he wanted us to hold hands.

I looked around and noticed the peering eyes of the pack guards and maids, the pack members weren't excluded.

I guess they are surprised to see their Alpha with a woman, they must be wondering if he had gotten his mate or if his curse has been lifted.

I was hesitant about holding hands with him, he suddenly interlocked his fingers with mine and pulled me in causing a light gasp to escape from my lips.

"Alpha Axel.." I whispered feeling so shy, all eyes were on me and I felt like they were going to dig holes in my body with the way they looked.

"You must be a shy little baby, should I carry you in a bridal style then?" he teased and my eyes widened.

"No! Please don't, I replied almost immediately and he laughed.

We finally went into his mansion and also out of the peering eyes, I felt relaxed after then.

Lucas trailed behind us dragging my big box along.

The interior design was exceptionally beautiful, I feel like I am in heaven.

I couldn't stop looking around and turning my head like an antenna, I was really amazed.

"You like what you see?" he asked

"Yes, your mansion is so beautiful." I replied with excitement.

"Big brother!" I suddenly heard someone scream out so loud and I almost flinched.
