The Lycan slowly began to retreat. Before he could take another step backward, I swiftly launched an attack with the sword, causing his head to roll onto the floor and roll towards the nearby river.
Jordan immediately dashed off towards home, and although I ran after him, I couldn't match his speed.
"Jenna, go to the chopper and retrieve his small bag," I instructed. Jenna ran in the direction of the aircraft while I continued towards home myself.
Inside the cabin, Jordan stood behind the window completely nude and vulnerable. I dropped the sword I had been holding and approached him slowly, placing my hands on his waist to offer some protection.
"Thank you for saving my people," I murmured gratefully.
"No, you saved our people," Jordan replied in a suffocated whisper. I placed my head on his back.
