I ran into the woods ecstatic to meet my friends and explore this freedom after a very long time, in what feels like forever. The shifting was almost as painful as the first time but the feeling of running into the woods as a werewolf after a prolonged absence was accompanied by an intense surge of liberation and primal exhilaration.

I took time to appreciate my wolf, the colors were so beautiful just like I remembered only the furs are bigger now. My wolf was a mixed tone of silver and white. My fur was so full and luxuriously thick and plush. I imagined how the play of moonlight on my fur would appear, so beautiful of course.

Each step through the underbrush was a profound sense of reconnecting with the untamed wilderness, evoking a surge of ancient instincts and an overwhelming rush of sensory spur.
