255 Chapter 255: Bait

The carriages moved in a line for the most part, but eventually, Lilith decided that it was best for them all to separate.

She gave everyone the excuse that it was more dangerous to move together, even though the real reason was different. 

She didn't want the others to follow them into the city. She still didn't know who leaked their location last time. She didn't want to go through the same thing again. 

In fact, she told the Witches to go back to their Clans and prepare their entire clan armies, saying that they were going to need a bigger force. 

She had to make an excuse, and she made one that couldn't make them too suspicious. 

The Witch Clan agreed with Lilith's suggestion. They also found it quite dangerous to be with Lilith since she was probably one of the people that the Empire was especially after.
