The Secret

Amber:

"That was a spell", I replied blankly

"You mean to say werewolves can do magic?", Xavier asked rubbing the back of his head

"Did I say I am a werewolf?", I questioned

"Like we saw you transform into a human from a wolf so that implies that you are a werewolf", Mike said this time

"Well that partly right"

"Amber stop playing with words please", Zach said. Though his voice was calm it was commanding at the same time.

"OK I am a half-wolf and a half-witch"

I saw their jaws fall open.

"What?", Zach asked with his eyes almost bulging out

"You knew?", Xav asked Zander. To which Zander replied with a nod.

"How?", were the only words that came out of Cami's mouth

"Well..", I wasn't ready to answer the question and Zach realised it, " How did you end up here?"

I was happy at the quick change of topic."So you see wolves change by 16 I didn't turn and my family was ashamed of me so they just let's say kicked me out", I felt the warm liquid coming out of my eyes, but soon Zach wiped it off.

"So I had some help from a friend and he knew one or two people hear like he knew the owner of the diner at the end of the town so he somehow arranged for my travel and then I met the owner, he is a kind man, though my friend had just talked about him providing me with a job, he looked to the fact that I did complete my high school while working for him."

"How did you meet Zander?",Javour asked

"I was on my usual patrolling when I heard heart-wrenching cries at the end of the forest and I walked in the direction, I found Amber from her pain and cries it was easy to interpret that she was shifting for the first time. I helped her shift and then I was there for the rest of the night, in the next morning I called Beth to arrange for some clothes.", Zander said

"I had never seen a full white wolf in my life", Beth continued, "but had only heard of them in stories and I knew the power they had and what other wolves hungry of power could do to them, so I convinced Zander to bring her with us. But then Amber told us about her work at the diner and school so we agreed that she finishes school and then she comes in with us. Once this was done Zander took her in the pack in secrecy and trained her when other members weren't around. We made her secret our own."

Everyone was in shock though this wasn't the whole story this was most of it and the rooms in pin-drop silence before the ring of Zach's phone broke it.

"I have to take it, excuse me", he said with a guilty look on his face

As he exited Xav stood from his place and came and sat in front of me, " Hey, we don't care what you are, where you are from, you were and will always be our little sister", he said with a reassuring smile.

I hugged him and was soon joined by most of the people in the room. I realised I was rather lucky to have a family like this, cause my own was nothing close to this.

"Ahm", our hug broke as Zach entered and cleared his throat.

"What now?", I told him rolling my eyes

"I needed to leave its an emergency", he said with a straight face

"But you just came back", I said with a pout

"I know but I will explain everything on the way"

"On the way?", I questioned raining my brows

"Yes, Zander Amber will come with me and Javour will look into the business for now"

Zander nodded in agreement and this pissed me off.

"Excuse me don't you think you should be asking me?", I said with my hands on my waist

"Amber I am not asking Zander I am just informing him since he is your guardian", he said in his alpha voice and this annoyed me more.

"First your alpha voice doesn't work on me and second if you all know the story its better use Andrea instead of Amber", I said throwing my hands up in the air and was about to leave my room as people there were pissing me off but as I reached the doorknob I turned, " And either you convince me to go along with you or you are free to go alone", I said pointing as Zach.

Zach:

Nic called to inform me that the white moon had reported Rosa to be missing over a week now and had called in for help. My instincts said I couldn't leave Amber here and therefore I acted too instantaneously to realise the outcome of my actions.

I stood with a shocked expression as she exited.

"You better run behind her", Zander said patting my shoulderI exited the room and followed her scent but when I enter the forest it got easily mixed and it took me more than the estimated time to find her.

She sat beneath a tree with a gloomy expression.

"Am", I said sitting beside her

"What?", she said throwing her hands up in the air looking absolutely adorable

"I am sorry. I shouldn't have forced my decision on you", though the statement angered the alpha in me I realised the person in front of me was the same, a white wolf is always an alpha no matter a male or a female and to convince an alpha you have to behind your knee.

"It's good that you realised"

"So will you come with me?"

"Why should I?", she was very angry but I didn't have the time and patience to reply to all her queries and I was losing my calm, "Amber see last time I left you, you ended up in a hospital. I don't want it to repeat, you are coming with me. Do I make myself clear?"

"Arrgh, stop using the tone it doesn't work on me but ok I will come along", she said and started to walk towards the packhouse. I realised this time it was her bending the knee.

"Where are you going?", I asked trying to lighten the mood

"Who will pack idiot!", she said with a smirk, "When do we leave by the way?"

"In an hour, the flight is at 2 and it's already 11"

"What? Couldn't you inform me earlier? How am I supposed to pack everything?"

"Well I tried to", and I received a smack on my chest as the reply

"Just pack the essentials, you can buy whatever you need there", I said

"Ok," she said narrowing her eyes at me.
