Chapter 25

"Whoa." Noelle and I laugh at Lucia's reaction to the 'Grey Manor' as she calls it.

I can't blame her though, last time it was so dark I couldn't take the time to admire it and I was in a hurry to leave but now.

I wonder if he done it himself.

It's modern yet expensive but doesn't scream 'money!' when you see it. It's so many things in one but it lacks the homey feel, the touch of a woman.

"We're staying here for a week?!" Her excitement is honestly amusing.

"You should see the theatre room and game room." Noelle adds, if only she hadn't.

Thank God it's Friday, if it had been a weekday, I know I'd struggle with her. Aaron appears from the top of the stairs and comes down.

"Jolene isn't here which explains why you are. I've put you're sister's bags in the room next to Noelle's. There are some instructions left in the kitchen, do's and don'ts and Noelle's allergy list." He lists, I nod.

"Thank you." He nods and leaves, when I turn back I see two puppy dog faces staring at me.

Sighing, I shake my head. "Thirty minutes, then lunch and then you go do your homework and you take a nap." I instruct, not even a second passes before they are both out of my sight.

I laugh and look around the big foyer confused as hell, taking a guess I head straight and thankfully see an open doorway that shows a fraction of the counter.

I head there, the first thing that I notice is that this is a chef's dream kitchen at home. To my left stands a double door pantry, I open it curiously, on the left is a kid's best dream, snacks and everything sweet then to the left is the basics.

I close and lock the doors, as told there are a few lists on the counter. One is the basics, the other is a day to day schedule for Noelle and her allergy list.

•Peanuts.

•Bees.

•Peaches.

•Bananas.

She always has to have everthing that Jolene listed, the last time I was here. Her EpiPen, inhaler, contact book and bracelet. I noticed that she was wearing the same purple one as last time, my guess is that it has a tracker in it.

My parents did the same with me, except mine was in my necklace. Imagine my shock when my father asked me how it was at a party I wasn't supposed to be at, I was grounded for three weeks after that I never wore it at all.

As I make lunch for the girls, I notice how nothing that Noelle is allergic to is in the house at all. I end up making French toast for us all, as we're eating my phone vibrates in my pocket.

Taking it out, I see my boss's name on the screen. I excuse myself and answer.

"Yes?"

"There's a meeting I've forgotten about, so I need you to set up a zoom meeting for us all within the next hour." He instructs.

"The three o'clock or six o'clock meeting?" I ask.

"Three. Can you please put Noelle on the phone?" Humming I head back into the kitchen and hand Noelle the phone.

"It's your dad." Her face brightens and then she's gone, Lucia watches as she disappears past the doorframe.

"Rich and loves his daughter." She comments wiggling her eyebrows, I blush shaking my head.

But she isn't lying.

It's really heart melting how much Grey loves Noelle, you almost wouldn't imagine a man like him a softie around a five year old.

"Your books are calling you." I point towards the exit, she laughs.

"Just saying, great combo. It would be nice to have a brother who isn't a struggling drug addict or who disappears out of nowhere." Before I could respond to her comment, she's out of my sight.

It's quite easy for her to comment on it like that but when you've practically raised the 'struggling drug addict' and been close to the 'runaway' it hits hard.

Sighing, I gather the dishes and begin to clean up. No longer than ten minutes, Noelle appears with my phone in hand and a face splitting grin.

"Do you want me to read you a story or?" I ask picking her up, she nods enthusiastically making me laugh.

*~*~*~*

The next few days pass by quicker than I expected, it's Monday and I'm helping Noelle get ready.

"We've got everything right?" I ask fixing her bracelet, she takes a second to think.

"My spare inhaler?" She asks, I pat her bag smiling.

"And your aunt Janet has one, you have absolutely nothing to worry about. You just have fun and enjoy your day, sí?" She nods.

"How about you go downstairs and watch some TV while we wait for Aaron?" She silently nods and heads for the door.

I quickly make her bed and clean up then go check on Lucia, thankfully I find her tying her shoes.

"Need help with anything?" I ask, she nods towards the brush and dry shampoo.

I help her with her hair then her bag and before we know it we're done. "You've got everything?" I ask, she nods.

We head downstairs where Noelle is, on time the doorbell rings and Aaron enters. "Good morning." He greets, we greet back.

"Jason is one of our other drivers, he'll take your sister to school." I don't know whether it's the look on my face but I feel like he senses my worry.

Can I trust this Jason?

"Or I can take her, and Jason will drop you and Noelle off?" He asks, I feel a bit better knowing that it'll be Aaron taking Lucia.

I might not know him that well but he's Grey's trusted driver, and I'll take that over leaving my sister alone with someone I'm not used to.

"Okay, girls we're going!" I yell, they both soon appear giggling.

I pull Lucia back before she can enter the familiar SUV, "Have a great day at school okay?"

"You don't have to treat me like a baby you know?" She asks, I laugh.

"You are my baby sister. And I love you, so if anyone messes with you I give you permission to get into trouble." I joke, she gives me a lopsided smile.

"I love you too, now can we go. I don't want to be late." She rushes out, I give her a quick hug and nod.

Noelle is already buckled into her car seat, I enter the car and greet Jason. We drive for an hour and a half before we arrive in front of a gorgeous house.

A woman, same one from the Grey gala comes out of the house. Green eyes, black hair, looks nothing like the rest of the Grey's.

Noelle is out of her seat and already in her arms. I swear this girl gets so happy to see anyone in her family, she's such a bundle of joy that it's cute.

Taking her bag, I exit the car and walk towards them. "Morning." I smile, she looks me up and down.

Janet Grey.

Twenty years old and one of the most well known models in the U.S, I shift uncomfortably under the scrutiny of her gaze.

She takes the bag out of my hands, "Genial, otro Lisa. Thank you, I'll take it from here." *Great, another Lisa.*

I don't know if she knows I speak Spanish but either way, she screams 'b*tch!' to me. I don't care whether she's my boss's sister or not, but it's true.

"Bye Miss Leigh." Noelle waves, I smile returning the gesture.

"I'll see you later princess." My eyes fall on Janet, I give her the same one up she did me then walk away.

Seems like none of the Grey ladies like me.
