That Time I A Shinigami Got Reincarnated With A Slime

Huuh, Why am I falling so fast?

When I looked around I can only see a dark void with chaotic lights around me, Am I in garganta?!!

No the are various nebulous lights in the distance, where am I did I get transmigrated again.

I tried calling out to shingetsu but there was no response and I can't even access my inner world.

I hope she survived the last battle, I didn't think that the price of that technique is so heavy that even my soul is so unstable, no wonder she didnt want to tell me about.

I need to recover my riatsu faster I wonder where I am falling towards, while I was checking the surrounding

I sensed some fluctuations in the distance, are those crossing souls too?

there was a soul somewhat near me with a strange force covering and pulling it somewhere fast.

Well it's now or never, I might not have any other chance so close to me before I weaken anyfurther, when I locked my spiritual power on the soul I was forcefully towed away in the same direction as I unconsciously protected my self with my remaining power.

It's dark.

The darkness envelopes all, preventing me from seeing any shape or figure.

Where am I? Besides, what had happened?

At least there is no falling down this time around.

With that thought, I regained consciousness.

My name is Raiden, 20 years old or 37 if my first life counts, A shinigami

As I tried move I was overwhelmed by intense feeling of nausea.

I hurriedly tried to calm down and sense the state of my body, How am I even alive ?

I can barely sense spiritual energy in my body, extending my senses outward there isn't any riatsu around here, when sensed carefully there was a strange energy particles in the surroundings and I was unconsciously absorbing some of it, I followed some of it and that's when I discovered that my spiritual body is partly condensed from this energy, well if it can stabilize my condition so be it.

What happened to the soul that I was following? Was it able to reach here with me.

when I searched further I sensed its fluctuations, it was slightly different than what I remembered in aura and shape, what is that round body,? I was sure this was a human soul, how did it become like this.

I tried sensing the movement of the energy around me to try and map out the situation, at first I succeeded a little but my body started destabilizing so I refocused on my self for now.

After some time I got used to the new sensation and began visualizing the shape, this is slightly easier than sensing riatsu at least I can visualize a clear picture in my mind but it needs a lot of focus so I focused on the soul next to me first, it has a physical round body, Is it melting grass?!!

is this is what I think it is? did it get Riencarnated as SLIME??!!!!

And so, since I had nothing else to do in this darkness, I kept sensing to confirm.

As a result, I have confirmed that It is, in fact, a slime (Viscous Life-form = Non-rare life-form).

Well at least he wouldn't have to worry about hunger and sleep.

I can sense strong spiritual energy from him so at least he might have some memories that would suck, I don't imagine what it feels now or does it have feelings at all.

I will try to focus on healing for now.

Sometime later when I stabilized my body a bit I tried opening my eyes , I am in a dark underground cavern, the only source of light around is small glowing rocks which doesn't illuminate much and is disappearing, What is that? Why is there a slime eating the rocks around.

How much did it devour looked around and found perpherial patches of grass, wasn't there a lot of them when I sensed earlier, I can't be wrong the grass had a lot of this energy that around us?, did he eat all of it.

I let my guard down because it is a slime, luckily there was no grass around me it seems like it can't sense the surrounding energy although it is constantly absorbing it.

There is nothing around me here I can't see the end of the cavern and my slime neighbor is eating all light remaining, And here he goes away, Now I can't see anything might as well try to sense this atmospheric energy and find a way to recover faster.

I kept familiarizing myself with this new energy while absorbing it for a while now and I discovered some bad news, for some reason the energy is absorbed faster by my hollow factor and it has small effect on my mind thankfully I trained in using hollow power so I am used to it, I was convinced that with shingetsu being unreachable my hollow factor will be dormant but this energy is somewhat more compatible to hollows, it is not like I can't control it on the contrary it is not that hard, It just that with the hollow factor it a lot easier but for now I have to suppress it I must recover normally first, who knows what will I become if I allowed this to continue, so I suppressed the hollow factor and focused on ansorbing the energy myself which resulted in slowing time my recovery speed significantly, At least I am stable now.

Thinking that, I continued meditating.

(So this is considered my third life, huh… not as troublesome as the second one.)

Those were Raiden last thoughts before falling into a sate of deep meditation(snoring wuxia style).
