Terror Infinity: Monster

"Want to know the meaning of life? Want to live… a real life?" It all started with this unassuming message. Most people would ignore it, clicking ‘No’ by instinct more than careful consideration. But for those unfortunate enough to click on ‘Yes’, a whole new world unfolds before them. Several, if they are talented. All so they may experience… Terror Infinity.

As I stared at the moon, I felt several more waves, similar to the first one, spread through the world. And with each one, I felt more certain of their origin.

Narrowing my eyes at the moon, I held out my hand, and called forth the forces of the world to fight back.

I wasn't exactly sure of what was happening, but I had a feeling this was related to my team and our intended mission in Bloodborne, and I wasn't about to just stand there and watch.

Aimless and disorganized at first, I unconsciously started imitating whatever was spreading through the world, but in reverse. At first I didn't even understand what I was doing, but as minutes passed and I got more familiar with the process, I started feeling what I was doing.

It wasn't a spiritual or physical fight, but instead was more of fight over hegemony on this space. Whatever was facing me was slowly spreading its influence into our world, and while I didn't know what that would do, I was working on stopping and reversing that.

This lasted for several minutes, and I could feel that whatever was opposing me was better at this. I had the home ground however, and so it slowly stopped what it was doing, its operation mainly interrupted by me.

I could feel some of its influence had still managed to affect the world, but a large part of it had been warded off. I also felt its gaze intensify, but even that disappeared after a while, leaving me alone at my window to observe the world around me.

The city remained unchanged, unaware of what had just happened. The world remained oblivious, as I had once been. Has the world always been this crazy and people blind, or were things changing?

I stayed at my window for a while, keeping an eye onto the sky, until I felt several people stop in front of my and Mary's rooms through my spiritual energy.

Another discovery I had made about me was that my power could be categorized into three: Reality Warping, Lifeforce Manipulation, and Pyschism, or the manipulation of Spiritual Energy.

The three were closely related to one another and could affect each other, as I had experienced myself. For example, having too much lifeforce compared to my spiritual energy would make me feel hunger. I'm sure it also works the other way around.

Great mastery in one of the three also allowed one to influence the others, as everything I had learned for Pyschism and Lifeforce Manipulation had been through the Force, in other words Reality Warping.

The same goes for when I mastered Cursed Energy through the opening of my Third Genetic Constraint. I had been able to affect my lifeforce with my spiritual energy.

Still, while it was possible to manipulate my spiritual energy and my lifeforce through my Reality Warping, I now wanted to make the conscious effort to use them individually, to better myself at manipulating them.

I'm going to need some practice as I am still at the stage of emulating what I used to do with the Force for my Lifeforce, but thanks to Cursed Energy I'm better at this with my Spiritual Energy, with which I am able to actually control it on its own.

As for Reality Warping, I was most advanced in it of course, since that was what I had been doing all along.

Anyway, I supposed it's time to greet the newcomers.

Walking up to the door, I opened the moment they knocked, and saw two men dressed in normal everyday clothes standing at my door.

They looked a little tense, but as their eyes met mine, they suddenly stiffened even more.

Although curious about their strong reaction, I asked, "What can I do for you?"

One of them informed me carefully, "You have been invited for an audience with the Council."

Having been expecting a fight, I looked at the door next to mine with surprise, as Mary just opened it. Looking back at the two, I said, "That was quick. I didn't think an 'invader' would get to see the little heads of your organization so fast."

My words only seemed to fuel their fear, which was exactly what I was going for, and I couldn't help but let out a smile, which only made things worse.

Thankfully for them, Mary intervened, "We accept the invitation. We don't have any time to waste."

Oh, she didn't know how right she was.

[Jordan's POV]

As I teleported everyone in the team, as well as the Hunter, whose name was Flora, to the Cathedral, I couldn't help but feel guilty.

After our mission in The Boys, I used all 5000 of my remaining Points after buying the Uchiha Bloodline on time within The Boys, and used that time to train one specific technique: Flying Thunder God.

Of course, the Sharingan was strong, but I couldn't really train to awaken it. My ninja skills could also be improved, be it Taijutsu or Ninjutsu, but out of everything, the Flying Thunder God technique that Alexander had gotten me was by far the most important for the team.

So, I trained it. Hard.

I got nearly two years within The Boys, and even after two years, I had only gotten some slightly proficiency in it. I was nowhere near being able to use it in combat, as I not only wasn't able to instantly make a seal with a single touch, but even teleporting needed me to focus for a couple of seconds.

Still, it was very valuable for the team, and allowed us to move much more smoothly through the world.

However, I couldn't help but blame myself for Alexander's and Mary's disappearance. I had thought of giving everyone an object with my seal on it to allow smooth teleportation, and I had done it, but too late.

I could have given everyone their item back when we were still within God's Dimension, but I ultimately decided to wait until we were within the mission to give them out. I don't even know why I did that, but as a result Alexander and Mary were lost, and I had no way to locate them or teleport to them.

All we would have needed would have been for me to give the marked items slightly ahead of time, but because I didn't do that easy thing, they were lost.

Sighing internally, I kept my face impassible and approached the large monstrous skull at the end of the cathedral. Triggering it would give us access to the rest of the game, but also make the night fall.

Stopping in front of it, I looked at my teammates, and asked, "Are we sure we are doing this?"

Sarah immediately nodded, sure of herself despite the circumstances, "Do it."

I sighed once again, and triggered the nightfall.
