Terror Infinity: Monster

"Want to know the meaning of life? Want to live… a real life?" It all started with this unassuming message. Most people would ignore it, clicking ‘No’ by instinct more than careful consideration. But for those unfortunate enough to click on ‘Yes’, a whole new world unfolds before them. Several, if they are talented. All so they may experience… Terror Infinity.

Before I could even argue the order, two of the archers took their shot.

What the fuck is wrong with these people! I stopped him!

Things spiraled out of my control, but I did not panic. Flexing both of my arms, I easily freed myself from my bindings, and extended both palms towards the incoming arrows.

Using my frustration and anger as fuel, I used a weak Force Push against the arrows. It wasn't strong enough to stop them, but it still made them miss.

While this saved us from the arrows, it only served to alarm the Imperials as the nearby General Tullius shouted, "They have a mage! Kill them!"

Fuck.

The Imperials, having received their orders, all drew out their weapons, the archers nocking their arrows as they prepared to attack. And it wasn't just me, but the entire group!

Making a split decision, I extended my hand towards Ulfric, who was looking at me, and used another of my Force abilities.

Force Pull.

My force powers were not very strong, I had only managed to use a few of the most basic Force abilities, and their power was very lacking.

However, I didn't aim to pull Ulfric's entire body, but only his gag.

"FUS-ROH-DAH!"

The moment the gag came off, Ulfric turned to face Tullius and the larger part of the Imperials, and shouted three words.

Space itself seemed to be disturbed by the shout as a wave of power was fired at them. Tullius opened his eyes wide, but still managed to thrust one of his hands forward, erecting a barrier of magic in front of him. A ward.

The ones behind him were not so swift however, as they were hit by the full force of the legendary shout.

I always thought the one in game was powerful, but this… now I understood why it was said that Ulfric hadn't simply killed High King Torygg with his voice, but torn him to pieces.

Because the soldiers who were hit with it looked like twigs as their limbs and their heads twisted in positions they shouldn't be in.

But more importantly, this also marked the start of the battle as the Stormcloaks roared, and it was no ordinary roar as I felt my spirit embolden and some of the Imperials shiver. This was a War Cry!

But what they all missed, was the distant roar coming from the mountains. Alduin was coming.

However, if I didn't want to die before his arrival, I couldn't just stand there.

[You have saved Lokir's life! Rewarded a Rank D Reward and 1000 Points!]

So saving characters that were supposed to die also was a side mission? Good to know!

No longer caring about Lokir, I smiled at the Imperial Captain, who had been staring daggers since I made that joke. She was now rushing at me, sword in hand.

One thing I wondered about Skyrim was how God would translate game levels. Would higher leveled enemies have better stats?

The Dragonborn would only cross Level 1 enemies they would easily take care of, but there were also high level characters here, like Ulfric, Tullius, and Elenwen, if she was still here.

And this officer certainly was above Level 1 too.

Right as she reached me however, she thrust her hand forward, her palm facing me. Frowning, I held out my own palm, emptying my mind as I used the only Jedi ability I had learned.

While a small stream of lightning came out of the Imperial Captain's hand, something I recognized to be the Novice Spell 'Spark', they were drawn to my hand and absorbed in it.

Energy Absorption!

I felt a strong power enter my body, while also feeling a painful, tingly feeling coming from my hand. This meant my Jedi ability was not powerful enough to completely absorb the woman's Spell. Still, it weakened it, and minimized the damage.

Unfortunately, I did not know how to redirect what I absorbed so I had to let it dissolve in my body as the Imperial Captain was upon me, swinging her sword at my neck.

My feet firmly planted on the ground, I leaned my body back, using my superhuman Reaction Speed to accurately follow the sword's course and dodge it with minimal effort.

As the sword missed me by centimeters, I saw the Imperial Captain's eyes widen as I took a sudden step forward, punching at her chest plate with all my strength.

She was obviously good with the sword as she managed to use the momentum of her swing to move both of her arms in front of her, to protect her chest from my punch.

Unfortunately for her, she was being punched by a Super Soldier.

Her bracers made a heavy thud as my fists crashed into them, and she slid a meter back.

She took a deep breath, her arms shaking as she held her sword unsteadily. This was enough to answer my question.

Had it been a level 1 opponent, even with the heavy metal armor on, their arms would have probably been broken, or at least they would be unable to use them.

My punches were not so easily stopped after all.

While she had blocked this one, her arms were temporarily numbed down. Moreover, her heavy armor was slowing her down.

Moving fast, I punched her across the face, feeling absolutely no remorse for hitting a woman. Compared to biting a throat out, this was nothing.

She was disoriented from the punch, dropping her sword as she took a step back, barely staying on her feet.

I crouched to pick up her sword, intending on finishing her, when I suddenly felt a pain in my shoulder.

Groaning in pain, I looked at my shoulder, and saw an arrow stuck in it.

It hadn't gone too far in, thanks to my strong Cell Vitality, but it still hurt like hell!

Grabbing the Imperial Sword, which was made of steel, with one hand, I took the arrow with the other, plucking it out of my shoulder.

I couldn't help but groan from the pain, and I felt my anger spike, fueling me with power as I thrust my hand at the archer who shot me, and clenched my fist.

The archer, who was standing on top of a tower, was suddenly brought forward by a meter, my pain making my Force Pull stronger than ever as he was suddenly in mid air.

Turning back to the Imperial Captain, she was stumbling back, trying to escape. I snorted and appeared behind her, and ruthlessly pierced my sword through the back of her neck.

[Imperial Soldier killed! Rewarded 100 Points.]

[Imperial Captain killed! Rewarded 300 Points.]

As I stuck my sword into her throat, the archer reached the ground with a sickening crunch, the weight of his armor only worsening the fall.

The bitch who upset my plans dead, I looked around the battlefield, assessing the situation.

My team was still next to the carriages, hiding behind it to not get hit by the arrows. A smart choice, as the only one who was foolish enough to stay with the Stormcloaks, the youngest Anthony, had an arrow through his throat.

Speaking of the Stormcloaks, they were doing better than expected. Although they were unarmed and did not use magic, they fought as a group, and had managed to steal shields and swords from the Imperials Ulfric killed with his shout.

Now, Ulfric was at the front of his group, a shield in one hand and a sword in the other, facing Tullius, behind whom were the surviving Imperials.

The Imperial side had a clear advantage, as they had archers up on the roofs, and other troops dispersed through the city, as well as several agents of the Thalmor, accompanied by a high level Thalmor Ambassador, Elenwen.

Yet, the Nords stood strong, determined to protect their Jarl and get him out of the city.

But the battle would never come, as I spotted a giant shadow come out from behind the nearby mountain.

Turning my head, I spotted an absolute behemoth flying in the sky, looking like the embodiment of destruction with its black scales. It was Alduin, the World Eater, and he announced his arrival mightily.

Releasing a roar so loud even the deaf would hear him, everyone stopped what they were doing, turning to look at the sky in awe, and fear.

But not only men listened to the mighty dragon, as the heavens themselves reacted to the shout, black clouds rolling through the sky as they blocked the sun.

Meteors and lightning rained from the sky as they heralded the arrival of the World Eater!
