A pair of round, blue pupils dilated in shock as they stared at him.
Yu Jian, too, found himself paralyzed as their eyes met. He was so dumbfounded that he couldn't react for a moment. His soul was whistling loudly and he could hear his blood coursing madly inside his veins.
Time seemed like it had stopped, freezing the silhouettes of the two under the night sky.
Then, the girl's face paled abruptly.
Yu Jian didn't know what he wanted to do. Hell, he didn't even think. Before he knew it, he had shot forward, his hand outstretched as if he wanted to grab onto her. He could see his reflection on her eyes, wide-eyed, anxious with a hint of madness…
Then the girl disappeared.
His hand grabbed onto thin air and he faltered. His hand still outstretched. He stared in shock at the place where she stood just now. She disappeared…she just vanished in front of him.
