When the beasts had more or less settled in the land that Sheng Li had provided for them, life went on peacefully for a few days.
After that, a weird rumor started to spread.
The beasts were complaining that they would be jolted awake all of a sudden in the middle of the night, the reason unknown. Then, they would hear the sound of horses galloping and metals clinking against each other.
It didn't come only from one mouth. Starting from one accidental drunken complaint, more and more people realized that they weren't the only one suffering from the same problem. If so, then the problem didn't stem from themselves. It also wasn't the case where they were still submerged in the trauma of slaughter and blood to the point of hallucinating.
