Tell Me Something I Don't Know

The world has fallen and so did humanity. In the new era after the apocalypse, Marcus Zephanie was hailed to be the leader. Because of him, one-fourth of the human race was saved. He was the new hero. However, not everyone believed that Marcus was the man people deemed him to be and no one really knows the truth, except for one. *Photo for the cover grabbed from google :)

HERO

Hero shook his head. But he can't stop the smile from crossing his lips.

He can't believe that he had been so nervous only a while ago, afraid of the identity of the owner of the apartel. When it turned out to be Mary Earle, someone he was well acquainted with, he felt relieved.

"She's too kind," he murmured, bracing himself to get out of the bed in time for a sharp pain beginning to throb on his left leg where the prosthetic was still attached, momentarily halting him. He let out a silent curse.

When he pulled off the bed cover, he saw a tiny red stain on his jeans, making him think that something might have happened to him last night.

Did he fall? Probably. That was the only possibility that he could think of. With his fall, some part of the prosthetic leg that was attached to him might have cut through his skin.
