Upon hearing the notification, Lily takes her phone from her bag. She sees a message from her friend.

[Cindy: Gurl! How did it go? Did your interview go smoothly?]

Lily smiles at her friend's message.

[Lily: Of course, it went very smoothly, just as planned.]

[Cindy: Are you sure, 100%?]

[Lily: I'm 100% sure.]

[Cindy: typing... ]

Buk!

"Ouch."

Lily, still walking towards the lift while playing with her phone, doesn't pay attention to her surroundings and ends up colliding with someone, falling down in the process.

"Ugh... I apologize, it's my fault," Lily immediately apologizes to the person she bumped into, even though she's still on the floor in pain from the sudden fall.

"May I help you, miss?" the man Lily collided with extends his hand towards her.

Lily takes the man's hand, appreciating his kindness. "Thank you, sir," Lily says, feeling a bit embarrassed about the recent situation.

"No problem," the man replies.

Now standing again, Lily gets a proper look at the man's face. 'Wow, he's handsome,' she thinks.

The man has a handsome fair face, black hair, and wears glasses. He's tall and has a well-built physique. The black suit he's wearing adds to his elegance. He looks like the ideal man every woman would dream of.

"Well then, I'll excuse myself," Lily says, heading towards the lift, leaving the man behind.

"Hey boss, what are you doing standing there?" Tres asks the man Lily collided with.

"It's nothing," the man replies, walking towards Tres and then leaving.

'Boss?' Lily, who overheard Tres's remark, is somewhat curious about who the boss referred to.

But the lift closes quickly before Lily can see the face of the person Tres called the boss. The lift then descends to the lobby.

Ting!

The lift, now in the lobby, opens slowly. Lily exits the lift and heads towards the taxi waiting for her in front of the lobby. She provides her apartment address to the driver, asking him to take her there promptly. She wants to rest and calm herself after the exhausting interview.

Meanwhile, in her apartment, Cindy is eagerly waiting. She wants to hear the full story of Lily's interview, her childhood friend. She knows that Lily is eager to break free from her unemployed status and secure a job in a prominent company like Delima Putih, a leading health and cosmetics company. Cindy, a freelance writer, often takes on projects from various media. She is cheerful, optimistic, and sociable, in stark contrast to Lily's stiffness, seriousness, and introversion.

Cindy hears the sound of the apartment door opening. She rushes to the door and hugs Lily as she enters.

"Lily! You're finally home! I've been waiting for you for so long! How was it? Did your interview go well? Tell me everything!" Cindy says enthusiastically.

Lily is surprised by Cindy's welcome. She didn't expect Cindy to be in her apartment. She releases herself from Cindy's hug and looks at her bewildered.

"Cindy? Have you been here long? How did you get into my apartment?" Lily asks.

Cindy smiles and shows Lily's apartment key in her hand. "I borrowed your key from the receptionist. I told them I'm your friend who wants to surprise you. They believed me. Besides, I often come here. I'm practically family to you, right?" Cindy says cheerfully.

Lily shakes her head and takes the key from Cindy's hand. "Cindy, you really can't stay still, can you? I hope you didn't disturb the other neighbors. Come on, let's go inside. I want to put down my bag and jacket first," Lily says as she walks towards her room.

Cindy follows Lily into the room. She sees Lily taking off her jacket and placing her bag, then lies down on the bed. Cindy sits next to Lily, looking at her curiously.

"Lily, don't tell me you want to sleep now. I haven't heard your story. Come on, tell me. Did you manage to catch your interviewer's attention? Are you sure you'll get the job? Do you know when you'll hear from them?" Cindy asks eagerly.

Lily sighs and gets up from her bed. She sees Cindy still looking at her with hope. She knows that Cindy is a good and caring friend. She also knows that Cindy won't stop bothering her until she hears her story. Lily gives in and starts recounting her experience at Delima Putih, from meeting Tres, the questions he asked, to the answers she provided.

Cindy listens to Lily's story attentively. She occasionally nods, comments, or claps her hands. She feels happy and proud of her smart and courageous friend. She is confident that Lily will get the job.

"Lily, you're amazing! I'm sure you'll get that job. You've shown exceptional abilities and potential. You'll definitely be a reliable and professional secretary. I'm proud of you, Lily!" Cindy says enthusiastically, hugging Lily tightly.

Lily, receiving Cindy's hug warmly, says, "Okay, okay, don't hug me so tight. Do you want to kill me with your hug?" Lily says jokingly.

Cindy, hearing that, immediately adds strength to her hug. "Yes, I'll kill you with my very comfortable hug... Hehehe," Cindy replies with a cheerful laugh.

For some reason, every time Lily is with Cindy, she always feels her energy slowly replenishing after a tiring day. Cindy is like a battery charger that always recharges Lily's energy.

"Lily, I want to ask, does this guy named Tres interest you? Well, considering it as a stress reliever from your ex-boyfriend." Cindy asks with a bit of jest.
