"I understand you've heard about the half of a female body that was found in the woods a few days ago. It wasn't difficult to investigate thoroughly, and someone saw you in that area."
Stiles was confused and asked, "Are you talking to me?"
"Besides being a teacher, I like to investigate. Haven't you ever been curious about the unexplained things happening in this small town? Just like you, I investigate too, and I've found some incredibly cool things."
"I don't know what you're talking about, Professor..." Stiles began to sweat as Ethan revealed more than he expected.
"I know you're lying. Your dad is a cop, and I think I've overheard your friend talking behind my back about a rather amusing guess regarding my real job," Ethan said with a subtle smile.
"How do you know?" Stiles asked, even more nervous as Ethan's words became increasingly incriminating.
Ethan parked the car and got out without saying a word, waiting for Stiles to follow. "Follow me; I'll show you something you'll like."
Stiles quickly got out of the car, eyeing the enormous mansion in front of him, wondering if Scott's theory about their teacher being a hunter was actually true.
As he walked onto the grounds of the vast estate, he noticed only a few small cats, people working in the garden, and a man watching him from the second floor.
"Don't you want to ask me something?" Ethan took off his jacket, entered the main mansion, and hung it on a coat rack beside him.
Stiles couldn't handle the eerie atmosphere of the mansion and asked, "Are you a millionaire, Professor?"
"Do you think if I were, I'd be working as a teacher?"
"Maybe you have other motivations..." Stiles murmured, feeling a bit calmer after seeing more people working inside the mansion.
Ethan ascended to his study, but before reaching the door, he said to Sebastian, "Prepare dinner; we have guests."
"Yes, my lord."
Stiles thought to himself, "I think this is Batman's mansion; everything is incredibly terrifying."
"My family consists of hunters. From a young age, we are taught to hunt any prey that poses a danger to society." Ethan entered his study and pointed to a chair in front of his desk.
As Stiles sat down, he noticed the photographs on the desk and said, "Oh my God..."
"What killed that girl isn't human. I think you understand what I'm getting at," Ethan said as he poured himself a drink.
"I..." Stiles didn't know what to say. No matter how crazy his theory seemed, he never imagined that Ethan would openly talk to him about werewolves.
His friend had told him that Professor Ethan had appeared in his dreams, holding a rifle and aiming it at his head. What little he knew was that Scott, after being bitten, would appear in the middle of the woods naked, with mud on his body and apparently covered in animal blood.
Ethan would briefly appear in his dreams when Scott could regain some consciousness, which is why Scott didn't trust him. If the professor knew Scott was a werewolf, didn't that make him dangerous?
Recently, Scott had a close encounter with hunters, and ironically, he was saved by the same man who handed him his inhaler.
Stiles had promised Scott he would investigate, but now things weren't going in his favor since Ethan was being so candid about all those speculations.
"We have strong suspicions that you encountered a werewolf that night, and since then, your internet searches have all been related to werewolves," Ethan said as he finished his drink.
Stiles looked around in silence for a few minutes before finally asking, "So, what will happen to me?"
"Nothing, of course." Ethan wasn't chatting with his student to intimidate him, so he said, "You just need to know that we fight for the right side."
