Teen love and life

Hi, my name is Angelica Barker. I'm 16. I'm a high school student. And I'm starting at a new high school in X city this year. I just moved here today. All because my father has gotten got a job promotion but in a different city. And I'm nervous it's my first time moving to a new place.

As I was casually talking to my bestie Sara on the phone. I heard knocking on my house door. I thought it was the movers and opened the door. To my surprise it was a lady and a guy. The lady looked as if she was almost my mother's age and the guy seemed to look my age. I hung up on Sara and asked who they were politely. "Hi dear, we live next door. We just wanted to stop by and greet you guys." the lady said. I invited them in and called my mother. She came downstairs. "Hi sorry for interrupting. I'm Diana Curtis and this is my son Victor. Nice to meet you" said Mrs Curtis.

"Nice to meet you guys as well. I'm Cecelia Barker and this is my daughter Angelica." introduced while shaking mrs Curtis's hand. My mom and mrs Curtis sat down and started talking. Mrs Curtis told Victor to talk to me but he seemed to be quiet. But I tried starting a conversation "Which high school are you in? I'm in Seiko high". He just said "Same" and had the same dull expression. I attempted a few more time yet failed to talk to him at the end. "Angelica dear, are you okay with Victor walking to school with you together to school tomorrow ?"asked mrs Curtis. "But what about Victor? Is it okay with him?" I asked. Mrs Curtis said "He'll be okay with it. Right?" Victor nodded okay but his facial expression showed he doesn't want to. I actually didn't want to as well but for my mom who was excited about the idea as well, I agreed. Or she would have just chopped me to piece. I guess Victor was in the same situation as well.

Mrs Curtis and mom were happy. It seems they became close friends already and they wanted me and Victor to be close friends as well. I guess this place will be a great new start for my new life, this place will be my home.
