You want to talk about fair??” His nose flared and his pupils flickered. “You have refused to get a paternity test with little thought about the impact your decision has on me.” He growled through clenched teeth “But you don’t care, do you? You just think of yourself. Your feelings are what’s important right??”

“You don’t have to put up with me. You can’t even commit to me.”

“A commitment!” I slammed my palms on the table and the plates jumped. “I deserve that much!”

“And what do I deserve?” he answered, stabbing his index finger into his chest. “I wanted to come out but you wouldn’t let me. I was ready to risk everything for you! If that is not commitment then I don’t know what is!”

“For how long, Luc? Until you get tired of me?”
