Kate’s chin quivered as her tear-glazed eyes fell on me. She wasn’t so smug now. My attorney, Stefano was roasting her, that I even felt pity for the woman. Stefano was a beast in the courtroom, my stellina had met her match. She had delivered a very moving speech and painted me in a very bad light as she built her case. But she didn’t even know half of the truth. Both Camille and Kate had fed her lies. A part of me was disappointed that Drew believed them. After all the time we’d spent together, I assumed she knew me better.

“You claim that you’ve been Mr Mancini’s mistress for the past six years, is that correct.”

“Yes and for the record I was his long-time girlfriend.”

“I call them as I see them, Miss Huntington,” Stefano stated with a smug smile. “It’s funny that I’ve been in Mr Mancini’s employment for the past ten years and don’t recall drafting an NDA for you until two years ago. It’s usually standard procedure for all his playthings.”
