Grey and Silas didn't spend a lot of time at Silas' house. They were at the First Legion's base for most of the day, even eating there. They only came back to the house to sleep together.
They also found out Grey's rank which was S-rank as well.
During that time, Caspian and Norton were thinking of ways to get Grey and Silas to leave the base. Maybe it was a coincidence, but the security of the base was much higher than before the battle with the Zerg Queen.
This made the two worry that Silas knew about their plans, but nothing happened to them.
Norton and Caspian thought they weren't going to be able to go ahead with their plans until they found out that Silas was taking Grey out on a dinner date. Naturally, they had someone tail Silas and Grey while they confirmed the restaurant. If they were a moment late, all of their plans would be ruined!
They could finally do as planned but they needed to hurry!

"Where are we going?" Grey asked while Silas pulled him into a hovercraft.
Hovercrafts were used only on planets. They were not like a spacecraft that could go into space and to other planets.
"We are going to a restaurant. It's a surprise which one though."
"As long as the food is good, I don't care where we go."
"Trust me, it's good."
"As good as my cooking?" Grey raised his eyebrow.
"Never."
If there was a driver in the hovercraft, the driver would probably want to toss themselves out. Luckily, it was automated.
When they arrived, Grey saw a pentagon-shaped building made of glass. It also had a strange triangular part connected to the top left of the building. It was a strange building, but it was bustling with people.
According to Silas, it was a famous restaurant known for its noodle dishes. It took all sorts of noodle dishes from thousands of years ago. It probably lost all of the original flavors, but to the people of the interstellar universe, this was already good.
Silas already had a reservation, so the host guided him and Grey into their small private room. It was in one of many rooms, but its scenery when looking out the window was magnificent. He saw the bustle of the city and the imperial palace in the distance.
"This place is quite nice," Grey said, looking around the room.
It was a very minimalistic room with a single potted plant and a painting. The restaurant wanted the main focus to be on the food and the view of the capital.
The moment they sat down, a robot came into the room with a screen on it.
{Robot: Hello, esteemed customers. I am your server, Little Blue. You can order your food on my screen.}
Little Blue's screen opened the menu. Every item on the menu had a picture accompanying its name so people could see what they would be eating.
Grey ordered something that looked similar to ramen and Silas ordered something that looked like a tomato pasta dish. They also ordered drinks that included interesting carbonated flavors and water.
The food was pretty good, better than what they were eating on the remote planet. Grey ate his food with relish.
They didn't typically drink during their meals. Only if it was water. There was some sort of carbonated drink in front of Grey that he had never heard of. He saved that for last.
Grey took a sip of the soda and didn't find anything strange about it. He was about to take another gulp but he heard alarms going off in his head.
System 225 shouted, [Don't drink any more of that drink, Grey! It's been poisoned by something that is odorless and tasteless! It's able to kill even S-ranked individuals. This poison was banned and the production was supposed to have been discontinued.]
Grey just found out his rank, only to be threatened by poison that could kill him! It was strong enough to kill his husband, so of course, it could kill him too.
He quickly put his drink down and grabbed Silas' drink before he could even touch it. He felt a pain in his chest and couldn't help but cough. Blood dripped down his mouth and sprayed onto the tablecloth.
'How badly injured is my body from the poison?'
[There's been a bit of internal damage, but you will heal. If you drank just one more extra sip, you would have died prematurely.]
'How fucking terrifying!'
"Grey! Are you okay?!" Silas jumped out of his chair and ran over to him.
Grey couldn't talk a lot, but he did his best to voice out what happened. "Drinks… Poisoned. Don't drink…"
Silas felt a surge of anger as he picked Grey up.
"Don't worry. I will make sure Uncle Gio helps you! I will be sure to kill everyone involved in this."
His voice was filled with murderous intent and his eyes were red with anger but he knew he had to calm down. He had to get help for Grey!
He didn't even have to think hard to know this was the work of Norton and Caspian.
Silas quickly called Christoph to block all the ports as well as search far and wide for his half-brother and Norton. He already had the evidence he could use against them but they worked one step faster than him!
He gritted his teeth. If it wasn't for him, Grey wouldn't have gotten into this mess.
He would be sure to avenge Grey.
******
The moment he got his men to spike Silas and Grey's drinks, Caspian already left the capital without Norton. He didn't tell Norton about his plans to escape the area. If Silas and Grey died just as intended, Norton would be safe. If not, then only he would be safe. It was every man for themselves!
Caspian could care less about what happened to Norton who was waiting for results.
With his mercenaries, Caspian was able to escape the capital before Christoph closed all the ports.
Hearing of Caspian leaving, Silas grabbed half his men to chase after Caspian while the other half, led by Christoph, went to detain Norton.
In the meantime, Grey relaxed in the nutrient fluid in the spacecraft while Dr. Gio made sure that Grey would have a speedy recovery.
Grey didn't want to be a damsel in distress so he teamed up with System 225 to hack into Caspian's hologram and ultimately the spacecraft he was using to escape. They then sent the information to Silas' Intel force using a pseudo account created by System 225.
He may have gotten injured, but he was definitely not gonna let Caspian escape from him.
Silas was furious. Out of all the times he gave Caspian mercy for the things he had done, this one crossed the line. He didn't care if Caspian was found dead or alive. He wanted him gone…
He dialed the Silver-Tongued Pirates to help with the chase.
Silas didn't care what methods he had to use. He needed to make sure Caspian would never hurt him or his loved ones ever again.

Meanwhile, Christoph raided the Second Legion's base where Norton was holding himself up. Norton knew just from the alert that the First Legion shut down all the ports in the capital planet that Caspian had acted.
Norton made an announcement throughout the base. {Attention all units. The First Legion has infiltrated our base. For those who subdued the most soldiers, you will be able to not only move up in rank, but you will be able to get a huge end-of-year bonus.}
Norton was crude in the way he stated things, but he was able to motivate the money-hungry soldiers who joined his legion.
Christoph and his men destroyed their way through the front gate. They didn't kill anyone, just knocking them unconscious. Even though the Second Legion were soldiers like they were, the Second Legion was a lot weaker. They stayed in the capital planet most of the year to protect the Emperor. One would think they would be strong, but they slacked off with how powerful the First Legion was.
"These soldiers are useless in battle," Christoph said as he knocked back three mechas at once. "And these are the soldiers who are protecting the Emperor? What a disgrace."
Christoph and Norton were of the same rank, but Christoph was much stronger. Especially because he went through General Silas' special training.
"Let's bring back good news for the General!" Christoph shouted to his men.
His men replied, "Yes, Lieutenant General, Sir!"
Christoph and his men stormed through the Second Legion, subduing anyone in their way. They made their way to Norton's office which was situated in the middle of the base. It was an easy fight. These soldiers were almost like normal people in mechas. They barely put up a fight.
Norton could see everything happening in the base from his office. He was pacing around the room. He knew that his men were not up to par with standards. He felt as long as they had money, it didn't matter how strong they were. All he cared about was money and fame. Power? Since Silas beat the Zerg Queen, it shouldn't matter anymore.
Now he knew he was wrong.
"I need to get out of here." Norton finally decided to run away.
He didn't know how far he could run with the First Legion coming after him, but it was better than waiting around here.
Norton ran out of his office and quickly activated his mecha. An expensive mecha, one too good for him, surrounded his body in a matter of seconds.
Seeing Norton activate his mecha, his Lieutenant General was about to exclaim in excitement but saw that his General was flying in the opposite direction from the First Legion. His smile fell from his face and he turned around and activated his mecha.
Time and time again, General Hanover disappointed him. When this Lieutenant General was appointed to the Second Legion, he thought it would be an honor to protect the Emperor, but after a while, he realized these people did not care about protecting anything but themselves.
To him, he felt he was the only one who cared in the whole Second Legion.
He wasn't going to fight the First Legion. No, he had his eyes set on the scoundrels that filled the Second Legion. Even if he knew he could not battle the Second Legion by himself, he should at least fight to protect the dignity and pride he had as a soldier.
The Second Legion's Lieutenant General didn't have to wait a minute before Christoph and his trusted subordinates blasted their way into the central building.
Christoph saw the Second Legion's Lieutenant General, Lambert, in front of Norton's office.
"Lambert, my old friend. Step aside and I won't hurt you."
"Christoph…"
Seeing his rival, Lambert didn't know if he was jealous of the man or looked up to him. Christoph had the same position as him, but they were leagues apart. He couldn't even bring himself to contact him again.
Lambert's youthful appearance was overshadowed by years of stress. His once healthy blonde hair had turned gray from stress. His bright blue eyes were dim from the years of being the only light in the darkness.
Then there was Christoph. Someone who still looked young and energetic. He looked like a man who hadn't seen the dark side of people even though he knew that the First Legion was in countless wars.
How could Lambert show his face in front of Christoph?
"I am not here to fight you. I was waiting here for you, my old friend…"
He pointed in the direction Norton had flown off.
"General Hanover escaped that way. You won't be able to find him in his office even if you open the door."
Christoph knew Lambert wasn't one to lie even if they hadn't seen each other in years. He didn't know what the man faced in the Second Legion, but he knew it wasn't good. If Lambert gave up on General Norton, it mustn't be anything good.
"Lambert… After this, you will get everything you deserve, so wait for us. We will come back for you."
After that, Christoph and his men flew off in the direction of General Norton.
Lambert looked off into the distance before closing his eyes.
"For you, I will help the First Legion."
After that, with the help of Lambert, the First Legion was able to take over the base of the Second Legion.
