Chapter 26

3rd Person POV

As Feyrith and Lucas ended their Battle, with Feyrith barely winning the match. Lucas was drenched in water because he was caught off guard, after avoiding, and casting some spell to fight back, he was caught inside the water sphere, the same spell that subdue Geist.

As they walked back to the viewing platform. Feyrith is walking smugly, and Lucas a little frustrated because he lose.

"So, your first opponent will be me!" Feyrith said, as he put his hand on Arthur's shoulder.

"Too bad, he already accepted my challenge." Taci said, as he walked to the middle, waiting for arthur.

"W-what?" Feyrith asked looking at Arthur. While Arthur nodded, and he walked to the middle, and distancing himself from Taci.

Noah patted Feyrith shoulder, as he also walked to the middle.

"So let's just limit the both of you to mana. You are allowed to use your weapons, and augmenting yourself, but you aren't allowed to use elemental spell." Noah announced, as both Arthur and Taci nodded.

Both of them, took out their weapons and readied their selves. Noah raised his hand then shouted.

"Start!"

As the battle was commence, Taci dashed forward and thrusted his spear. Arthur parried it, and side stepped, then swung his sword, causing Taci to jump back.

Taci keep sending barrage of attacks, while Arthur was evading or parrying it. Arthur was only assessing Taci's capabilities so, he wasn't attacking him that much.

Arthur was impressed the way Taci utilized his spear for his age. And he was sure that, Noah and Taci had the same mentor. Seeing that the both of them had almost the same techniques.

Arthur then decided to end the duel, and he burst stepped behind Taci, and hitting his back with the pommel of his sword. Then he once again burst stepped, but this time in front of Taci and hitting his gut.

Taci dropped on the floor, and raising his hand. Meaning that he surrendered and Arthur won the battle. The DC clapped their hands as the battle ended, they continue on sparring against each others. Until they ended it for them to sleep.

Arthur Leywin POV

As Caera and Ellie left the DC room, Elijah asked us to teach him a few techniques, before the four of us make our way to our new room. We were notified that they brought our things to our new room, so we don't need to get them anymore.

As we go to the location of our new room, with Taci in front. Since he volunteered to lead us and took the note from me. As time passed I feel something was wrong on the direction we are taking.

As we arrived in our destination, I facepalm as I saw, that we're at the director's building. As we enter the building, we saw Ellie and Caera, they also saw us and walked toward us.

""What are you doing here?"" Taci and Ellie asked the same time.

"We were stopped by Avier, and said they also moved our room. And he gave us the location of our new room, and here we are. What about your group?" Caera said as she looked at us.

"We also followed the direction given by the note and here we are." Noah replied shrugging his shoulder.

As we make our ways to our rooms. We found out that our rooms was beside each other's, and near the director's office.

Ellie and Caera, entered their room and we also do the same. As we entered the room, I could say that these room was much more bigger than our previous room, and more decorated. This room could be compared to a royal chamber, for how lavishly Decorated it was.

We unpack our things, and Elijah was hungry so we decided to go to the cafeteria. As the four of us left our room, we decided to ask if Caera and Ellie want to join us, so we make our way to their room that beside our room.

As I knocked on the door, Ellie's voice rang asking us to wait for a minute. Minutes later Ellie open the door and asked us.

"What is it brother?"

"We want to eat, so we are asking if you want to join us?" I asked as she nodded.

"We are also planning to go to the cafeteria, just wait a few more minutes since Caera is still taking a shower." Ellie said as she closed the door.

We stood outside their door, as we wait for them. When a voice yelled at us.

"What are you doing in here?! Do you peasants not know what this place is!" Turning our head we saw the vice-president of the SC, glaring at us.

"Oh shit, here we go again." Noah said only enough for the four of us to hear, as he shake his head.

"Why we are here is none of your business. And of course we know what this place is, that's why we are here." Taci replied not bothering to look at him.

"You knew and you're still here? From what I know the DC officers doesn't have an appointment to our director at this time. And the director wasn't here, so why are you here?" Clive demanded for an answer, but we ignored him.

"Director? Appointment? What are you talking about? We live in this building that why we are here." Taci replied, and we all looked at Taci, did he really not know this is the director's building?

"You live here? Don't make me laugh! Only the SC and the director live in this building, and you're telling me that peasants like you live in this place?" Clive spat.

Before Taci can reply, we heard a voice from our back.

"They do live in here, the director asked us to clean the room for them to use." One of the guard, that were guarding the director's office said.

"Did I ask you a question yo----" Clive was interrupted by Jarrod calling him.

"Clive! The president asked us to be on time And you were here, doing pointless thing when all of us were waiting for you! The president is already angry because we couldn't start, since the files were with you!" Jarrod shouted angrily.

Hearing this Clive, immediately run to where the SC room was located. Jarrod gave us a nod before he followed behind.

"Do you really not know that this is the director's building?" Elijah asked.

"Yeah, I didn't meet the director yet since when we arrived earlier. I quickly try to look where Noah is, so the one who enrolled me was the only one who knew that this is the director's building." Taci replied as we shake our heads.

"That sound very like you." Noah said shaking his head, the door then opened up and, Ellie and Caera came out from it.

The next morning, we attended our first class without a problem. We then move to our next classes, as I make my way to the practical mana manipulation class, the one that I'm going to teach.

As I entered the room, I saw all of the students were already here. I make my way to the middle, and the students looked at me confused.

"Greetings, as most of you know I'm Arthur Leywin. The captain of the DC, a first year like the most of you, and your new professor. Let's get along!" As I introduced myself, the students were shocked. They then started shouting at me, to stop messing around.

I released a little pressure from my core, causing them to shut up.

"Listen, like it or not I will be teaching this class. If anyone has a problem with this, feel free to leave I won't stop you. But I know all of you saw how I defeated the previous professor. And if any of you aren't satisfied about me being the professor, feel free to challenge me and if you manage to defeat me. I will resign from my position." I said, releasing all of the pressure my current core had. Causing all of them to dropped, and kneeling on the floor.

I stopped releasing my pressure, and waited for two minutes waiting for anyone of them to leave. But none of them do so, so I started my lesson.

I taught them how mana could be used different ways, and how to make them better in using mana. I can see all of them liked what I'm teaching, they were asking a few things, and they weren't complaining anymore.

Time passed by. And the school bell rang, signaling our class has ended. I could hear all of my students were complaining how fast our time ended.

*BOOM!

As I make my way to my next class, I heard a loud explosion near me. I quickly rushed toward it, and as I arrived I saw something I didn't expect to see.

A boy wearing a DC uniform emerged from the hole that caused by the explosion, even though his appearance changes I- no, we still know who he was.

"KAI!" Claire shouted as she dashed forward, with her rapier coated with fire.

Kai turned his head to Claire, and he raised his and then tied up Claire with metal strings. Claire struggled to remove the strings, but Kai seemed to put her on illusion and she started screaming.

I launched multiple of wind bullets I copied from Kaspian, toward kai. Kai avoided it by jumping back, sylv launched ball of pure mana, while I conjured some golem to take the students who was hurt by Kai.

"How dare you! How dare you put me on that disgusting place! It take every fiber of my being, to associate with you scums and you put me on that place? Let me teach you some lessons first before I looked for your friends." Kai roared. As he shot spears made of metal at me.

I avoided it, and dashed forward engaging in close quarter combat against him. He had an average fighting skill, but he covered it with his metal casting.

I felt weird since I felt he was stronger than before, I removed my concealer and I saw something that shocked me.

He's also a white core.

"Arthur!"

Turning my head I saw Noah, Caera Elijah, Ellie and Taci. Noah ordered Caera, Elijah, Taci and Ellie, to clear the area and they quickly moved.

After the students were escorted away. Noah took out his spear and removed his concealer, then fly toward me.

"Why am I not surprised, to see someone likes you in here. Now I get it, I know I'm doing my job without a problem I even concealed most of my powers. So it's Impossible to know I'm a spy, unless you are one with them. It's an honor to meet you though" Kai said nonchalantly.

"By the way how's your mother doing?" Kai asked.

"You bastard! I wouldn't forgive all of you for what you did to my mother!" Noah roared as he dashed forward.

I know Noah can handle him, but I'm worried for him. So I also dashed forward making it a two versus one, I and Noah fight in complete sync, overwhelming Kai.

Noah asked me to train together with him, he said that we should train our combination since we may fight an opponent where we need to teamed up.

So we are in complete sync, the battle didn't last long. As Noah thrusted his spear in Kai's heart killing him instantly. I put my concealer back fearing a student may saw through my disguised.

Kai's body dropped and green liquid poured out from his body. Noah walked forward then kneeled beside Kai, and beheaded him with his spear.

"What are you doing he's already dead!" I shouted.

"If you didn't beheaded them they have a chance to regenerate, even when their heart is gone." Said Taci as he arrived followed by the whole DC, except Claire.

"Where's Claire?" I asked

"We brought her at the infirmary, after we got her." Ellie replied.

I felt three presence rushing in our location, turning my head I saw three mages in white uniform.

"What happened?! We felt a strong mana fluctuation in here." Bairon asked as soon as he arrived. Aya and Alea following behind him.

Noah pointed his finger on Kai's corpse. As the Lances turn their heads they were horrified to see a student without his head. Alea quickly looked away after seeing the corpse.

"He was arrested for being a spy, and he managed to escape the jail and attacked our colleagues." Lucas explained as his brother nodded.

The Lances quickly do their jobs and, with Alea scouting the area using her sensory magic, Aya securing the corpse. And Bairon asking the students for confirmation on what happened since he need to report it. While I ordered my team to help them, Alea call me after she finished scouting the area.

"Thank you for your gift! Aya said that you were the one who gave us the beast will. It make me even stronger after I assimilated with it." She said bowing her head.

I told her it was nothing. And Bairon Called her saying they should leave because their job is already finished here.

Eight months had passed after the incident, nothing really happened noteworthy during this past months. Beside us getting our training room, and dealing with those spoiled human nobles.

We also register ourselves to be an adventurer, but this time I'm not using an alias. Kaspian offered that I can continue my rank as note, we just need to change my name into Arthur, so I don't need to take a test anymore. The six of us go to the beast glades when we don't have anything to do.

During this past months, Ellie made a breakthrough and now at the mid-silver stage. While Taci also made a breakthrough and also a mid-silver stage.

Ellie adjusted her dark-red core to dark-orange, while taci from his solid-orange core to Dark-yellow.

"Okay, that's enough." I said as I saw Tess dropped to the ground.

I helped Tess on her assimilation after I got my training room. The assimilation lasted for six months, I then trained her on how to use her beast will for her grow accustomed to it.

"Art, are you excited for our dungeon dive in tomorrow?" Tess asked standing up.

"Not really. Since it was only a low-level dungeon, and there's seven veteran adventurers in our group. I doubt it will be exciting. " I said as I walked to the pond, and washed my face

The door of the training room was pushed opened, then Ellie along with Taci entered.

"Brother. Mom said,we should go back before we go to the beast glades." Ellie announced. "She also said that, we should bring our friends that coming with us to the dungeon dive for Tomorrow."

"Okay, we should tell Noah and Caera about it. Tess do you want to come?" I asked, as Tess shake her head.

"No, I have so many matters to finished later. So I can't come with you." Tess declined my offer, as I nodded.

"Then, we will leave firsts." I said, Tess wave her hand and the three of us left the room.

As we walked through the hallway, we could sense that we are being followed.

"They are here again, but there's a newcomer." Taci said shaking his head, he then shouted. "Come out let get this over immediately!"

Coming out from their hiding, being lead by three students that we had a conflict before, But the other one didn't come out.

"The three of you are really stubborn. Aren't you Charles?" I said shaking my head.

After Charles and jack returned after what happened in the cafeteria. They always create some trouble along with Charlotte. But they always get released after their parents complained, saying their child was just kidding and we don't need to take it seriously.

"But it's strange they have some backup now? And they looked like a madman." Ellie whispered as we nodded our heads.

"Yeah, it remind me of Kai. But they looked weaker." I replied in low voice, looking at the ten students behind Charles.

"You're right let's get this over immediately. Go boys! Beat those commoners!" Charles shouted, and the ten students attacked us. Charles, jack, and Charlotte runaway, along with the one who was hiding.

"Taci, Ellie and Sylv. Go, you guys deal with these." I ordered and the three of them quickly do their works.

I notified the other officers that we are in trouble, since need to go home. And we don't have the time to deal the aftermath.

Few minutes later the three of them, finished their task, And we can hear footsteps rushing toward us. Turning my head I saw Noah, Caera, Theo, and Claire.

"Claire can you deal with the aftermath? I and the others need to go home, since my parents asked us." I explained as Claire nodded her head.

"Why did your parents called us?" Caera asked, as both Ellie and I shrugged our shoulders.

"Don't know."
