It's been a couple days since I was essentially adopted by Alice and Reynold. I Had the luxury of meeting her two children as well, the red head named Arthur and the ash-brown haired boy, Fayden.
This family is quite... Normal, to say the least. I mean, other than the fact that there is magic here too. I only found out because one day, the great ol' father Reynold spun Arthur around and ended up knocking his knee on the corner of the wooden wall...
The wrath of Alice was also shown to me in full display... Poor him.
Anyway, what baffled me the most was that our mother had healing magic. Something that was rare even in my old world. It was like a one in a million chance someone had that deviance from water magic.
It was considered its own class of magic though, being under the holy section.
Churches and there worshiping...
"Aww! Fay and Art are looking at themselves in the mirror! So cute!" I jumped a little hearing Alice and Reynold suddenly shout. I was in the study room while the others were in the main room. Listening to what she said, they probably did something to get doted on some more.
'...Okay, anyway.' I thought, putting my focus back on the book in front of me. I was currently in the study room, like I mentioned before, and I'm really glad Alice is a studious person. These books range from the most basic of information about this world to some of the more...
Advanced stuff, like mana manipulation.
I haven't started on that yet, I'm still on the history of Dicathen and the other two nations.
Seems like Elves and Dwarves exist here too. Thats always nice.
'I should visit the Elves... They usually have good insights in magic. Dwarves for weapons and armor.' I thought, mentally planning a time when I could head out there.
However, before I could continue on with my book, I heard footsteps coming towards this rooms direction. I don't want them to know I can read just yet, so I closed the book quickly and began to crawl towards the door to meet up with her.
Make it seem like I just got lost or something.
"There you are~ What are you doing in here August? Did you get lost?" She rhetorically asked, reaching down to pick me up. Her brown eyes stared into mine for a second before she smiled warmly.
She probably has some qualms about me since im not her child and was just randomly left outside her door step, but I don't plan to stick with them my whole life... Unless circumstances prove otherwise.
Taking me to the room with the others, she sat down next to her husband and placed me in her lap, having me face Fayden and Arthur as they bother stared back. A mirror behind them.
In that mirror, I saw myself... Or my new self at least.
White hair cropped forward, which, if long enough will eventually cover my forehead and maybe my eyes. The top part of my hair was white, but on the sides it blended into pitch-black perfectly, giving me quite the exotic look.
Mixed with my deep purple eyes that seemed to flicker with purple fire... I would be quite the sight to see...
Just makes me wonder what my origins are even more.
"Hey! Theres my other son, I was wondering where you were." Reynold spoke, a goofy smile on his face as he ruffled my hair. Alice laughed as I groaned internally.
Being treated like a child is something I could never get used too.
"Yeah, well. I found him in the Study room. He had gotten lost again." Alice spoke with a chuckle, her eyes landing on my figure once again.
"Oh really? Maybe he wants to be a librarian when he grows up. Just like his mother." Reynold added, chuckling along side her.
"Hey! I'm not a librarian! I just like reading since there's really nothing else to do..." She fired back, a playful frown on her face. She pinched Reynolds arm causing him to yelp in surprise and mock hurt as he chuckled and rubbed the back of his head.
"Sorry, sorry. If you're bored you could always start practicing with me again. You know, just in case..." Reynolds voice held seriousness behind the playful tone he masked it with. Im sure Alice noticed it but didn't say anything.
I mean, I'm sure all three of us heard it.
Glancing to the two brothers I saw that they were... Frowning.
Curiosity glazed their eyes before their eyes caught onto mine. The curiousity within seemed to reach its peak as we had a staring contest. I didn't back down from the challenge and looked them dead in their eyes.
What weird children...

Short chapter, I apologize but I had to go somewhere and I wouldn't be back until later tonight. I wanted to get a chapter out but this is as much as I had time for.
I apologize.
