CHAPTER 3

Let's have a dinner tonight?

What a start of my day! Huh..... Neither of them weren't wrong in anyway. Fuck my life! My plam rested on my forehead and my breaths were heavy to inhale. Sensing the trouble both of them stopped there lecture. "Matty, sometimes it's better to leave than to hold that shit even though it's hurting. Please Matty! We love you so much and we want you to be happy forever. And these demons are feeding on you. Just one brave step and everything will be alright." Darcy's voice lowered. My eyes were still close, trying to concentrate on each and every word. I was in daze for the whole day, thinking about what I'm gonna do with my life. That shit scared me alot. It didn't seemed a promising future with those people but, what I'm gonna do without'em? They're the only family I've got. The day longed till late in evening. Suddenly my phone buzzed. "Matty, someone wants to see you? He's waiting." faintly heard the arrival, knitting my eyebrows answered to wait. Company's building never felt so empty and cold as did now, reminded me of the horror movies shown by Darcy. She likes that creepy things. God! Took me a moment to realize how big my company was. Victory smile took my face glowing and saw a tall figure in the waiting room. "Yes?" I entered the room to see Rowan was standing at the glass admiring the city view. I wasn't knowing what I felt to see him waiting for me. He was so tall dark and handsome man who would steal anyone's heart with his bright olive green eyes and black, curly hair with the pair of pink thin lips, umm! So delicious! Wait, what?! I snapped my brain to focus and it took a moment to settle myself. Meanwhile his faint smile turned into a visible smug that offended so bad. How rude? Frowing in my mind I approached him but his smug widened rapidly that burned my cheeks into crimson red. He tried not to laugh but the barriers broke with him laughing so hard that my face bloomed in anger. "I'm sorry, I'm really sorry!" seeing me getting gloomy face he tried to flattered. Still with the gloom I sat with him. "Was something important? It's too late." subject changed by me he looked more serious than before. "Uh, actually I'm here to invite you for dinner tonight." my eyes widen hearing this. "Just for old times sake. Please?" he insisted more often, even though I didn't had anything else to do. I hesitatingly said yes.

The light in the infamous 5 Star Hotel, Paradise, glittered so bright and lovely that shimmered gorgeously under the moon. I was busy admiring the beauty of hotel when Rowan brought me inside a private dinning room. It was a special place in the whole building which was booked by Rowan and we settled down on our seats. I was mesmerized by seeing the beautiful place but a doubt built it's existence in my mind. "I don't think you casually invited me for dinner, right?" he looked up feeling a bit of guilty. "I mean, you must've special reason for this so you should talk. Be free, I won't mind. Please." hearing that his expressions lightened. "Actually I wanted to talk to you about few things. Should we order something first." and I nodded quietly. "What would you like to have?" the waitress asked in flirtious manner. I cleared my throat to attract attention and ordered smoked chicken and salad with olive oil, garlic and thyme dressing and he ordered for salmon. We were quiet for a while but suddenly both of us talked in unison. Seeing the awkwardness between us he talked first about olden times. Soon the night fallen unknowingly faster. It was time to call off the night out of my house when he suddenly spoked in alot serious manner. "Matty, I really wanted to talk about something tonight but I was at the loss of words after admiring your hardwork. You really created a world under your company. I heard from everyone today about how you work tirelessly, how you treat everyone else in the company, how everyone treats you with respect and all. And to be true, I'm proud of you too. You're a real gem of this so rude and selfish world." the proud in his eyes was so magnetic that I didn't heard other things and got lost in there. Out of the blue a hand snapped infront of my face that bought me back to reality. "Huh?" it took a while to stabilize. "Where you lost?" at his question my cheeks heated to a temperature that felt so burning. I looked so stupid like a clown but he held his laugh and pulled me closer to his chest for a warm hug. That was a sudden surge for me and took a while to predict what just happened. I didn't tried to free myself no matter how bad I wanted to be, but his body feel so warn and good that I forgot to breathe and gave in to access more of his warmth. I guess I wanted that after what I had in the day. Soon after the a good while he let go buy I don't know why we were feeling so awkward at that moment. "Thank you so much!" I said breaking the hesitation sharply. "For what?" he asked back confusedly. "For everything," just as saying that his handsome glow was took over by guilt. "Matty, you shouldn't be saying anything that you don't mean. Please." and he left leaving me all confused about what he said. Turning around in daze I saw my mother peeping from her window. Huh.... Here we go again! I was expecting to be cornered but nothing happened that night. No one accused, abused, didn't even talked to me. That was strange but so the day I had enough so I didn't even tried to call for trouble.
