He said, something important. But his expression says otherwise. I stopped overthinking and went towards the gate. As I opened the door, what I saw next took my breath away. The entire workplace was empty and dead silent.
“Where is every one?”
“Let’s check inside.” He smiled and took my hand. Intertwining our fingers, he led me to the cafeteria. I got tears in my eyes. The entire place, was decorated, with big balloons and lights. At the centre, there was a big red velvet cake with the number 27 on it.
Yes, I am twenty-seven years old now. I was processing the scene, when I felt something cold touching my neck. I looked down and saw the perfect diamond pendant. It was a two-carat-solitaire-pendant. It was blinding and I was so happy.
