Almost everyone turned their heads to the drenched, yet dashing duo as soon as they entered the tavern. Edmond's face lit up upon seeing his familiar customers, and he could not remember when was the last time he had seen them because it seemed to be so long ago.
"It's good to see you both again," the tavern owner said gleefully.
Sigmund waved his hand as they walked towards the bar counter.
And when he saw them up close, he worriedly said. "Oh! I didn't notice that you're both soaked. Let me get you some towels. Will you stay here for the night?"
"Hello, Sir Edmond, it's good to see you again, too," Ivory greeted him first with a smile on her face. "We'll wait til' the rain drops-"
"We'll eat dinner and stay here for the night," Sigmund chimed in.
"But my family might be worried and might be waiting for us," she told him.
