Entrapping Yang Xin

Alan noticed that Yang Xin was quite anxious and puzzled at this moment. His tactic was successful.

The tactic was to completely confuse Yang Xin and not let her think deeply regarding Alan's accusations. If she thought deeply, she could discover a flaw in Alan's tactic.

Yang Xin didn't have to give this much thought to determine that Alan was correct. People were already claiming she didn't deserve this position. If they learned of this blunder, many more people would believe that this was the case.

"I have another question for you. What do you think the Alchemy Association will do if they find out about this blunder?" Alan asked.

Yang Xin was utterly flabbergasted by this question. She was aware that the Alchemy Association's first priority would be to protect its reputation. The least they would do in response to it was to expel Yang Xin from the Alchemy Association.

As she thought about this, Yang Xin was a bit incensed. She had done everything for the Alchemy Association, but this organization could throw her at any moment to safeguard themselves.

Yang Xin couldn't believe that she hadn't realized it before.

Alan smirked internally as he noticed that frustrated look on Yang Xin's face. In reality, this was his trick to create a conflict between Yang Xin and the Alchemy Association.

Alan knew that if Yang Xin remained emotionally attached to the Alchemy Association, it would be difficult to convince her to work for him. Thus, it was necessary for him to break that relationship.

He was accomplishing this task by making Yang Xin question how the Alchemy Association would treat her despite all she had done for this association.

In reality, the Alchemy Association wouldn't just fire Yang Xin based on a few words from the public. The President would be extremely stupid if he did that.

However, Yang Xin couldn't know that. She didn't know how the President would react upon learning this information. A small part of her believed that he wouldn't fire her, but another part of her believed that he would do anything to safeguard the Alchemy Association's prestige.

And the fact that she came to this conclusion personally, Yang Xin would be more inclined to believe Alan's words.

"…What do you want? You weren't here just to inform me," Yang Xin asked coldly while staring at Alan.

Alan smirked in response as he spoke, "I am not a model citizen by any means. I just have my limits. Since no one was harmed, I can refrain from reporting this incident on one condition."

Yang Xin's eyes showed a trace of happiness and hope as she asked Alan, "W-What is it?"

"Oh, it's very simple. You must submit to me," Alan spoke nonchalantly.

"What?!" Yang Xin was furious to hear this condition. Her Gold Rank Soul Force targeted Alan as she attempted to suppress him.

Unfortunately, Alan was at a much higher rank as compared to Yang Xin, so he remained unmoved.

"I fail to understand your anger," Alan spoke in that same nonchalant tone. Soon, his expression turned serious as he added, "Burying this incident is a very serious matter since the Alchemy Association did sell thousands of pellets to the Dark Guild. Why should I undertake such a risk for a stranger?"

"Only my subordinates or comrades deserve that service. But unfortunately, you are neither my subordinate nor my comrade. And I am giving you a chance to become one. I believe I have shown enough kindness," Alan spoke before turning his head.

"I need your answer by this evening because tomorrow morning, I will submit this report to the Snow Wind Family. They will be the ones investigating you. However, if you do come to the Sacred Family, be prepared to submit. Otherwise, don't bother because I won't accept anything else," Alan left behind those words as he left the Alchemy Association.
