Chapter no. 43 The Draconic Caves

In the past, the Saint Ancestral Mountain Range was the epicenter of multitude of world-shaking events. This was due to its physical location as well as the abundance of resources it holds.
The Saint Ancestral Mountain is located in the heart of the Divine Continent and it was thought by many of the ancient empires that one who controls the Saint Ancestral Mountains is equivalent to becoming the ruler of the Divine Continent, if not the entire globe.
Within and around the Saint Ancestral Mountain Range, forces large and small flocked and congregated, waging conflict for power, riches and resources.
The Saint Spirit Empire, the Snow Wind Empire, and the Sacred Empire are the forces that succeeded in the greatest and worst of these conflicts, defining their eras and having their eras named after them.
These armies, as well as their subordinate forces, had access to the best resources available at the time, not just in the Saint Ancestral Mountain Range, but also beyond of it.
However, these territories with vast resources no longer had owners as a result of the series of demon beast onslaughts that reduced the human race to the brink of extinction over a millennium ago.
Although strong demon beast colonies have taken up residence in the majority of them, there are still some locations that are inaccessible to most demonic beasts .
The temporal Qilin stealthily followed the path where the item in his hands pointed at .
The Earth Vein Compass .
A circular disk with an extremely intricate 257 foundational pattern Inscription array that is used to point towards high concentration of soul force that are found in Earth Veins .
An item Lin Lingtian had formed from the memories of the nameless old man in which the old man had used the Earth Vein Compass to try to find the Earth Veins located within the Draconic Caves .
The Draconic Caves was a series of hidden caves that were complex and vast ,connecting the Divine Continent with all the 6 other continents of the world.
10,000 years ago the Draconic Caves were a well known and legendary place that was spoken of in fables of that time.
A place that connects the world , with untold riches and untold resources to those that find it .
Following the path that the Earth Vein Compass directed towards. After an unknown period of time, the surrounding soul force show qualities of originating from an earth vein , a type of natural occurrence when soul force of the environment is condensed into a single point creating a soul vein .
Up ahead, a barrier suddenly appeared stopping the Temporal Qilin in it's tracks .
Checking all the signs that Lin Lingtian had told him , the Temporal Qilin nodded .
He had found it .

Xiao Ning'er held the Thunder God's Meteorite Sword infront of her as heavenly lightning danced on the blade .

Sweat dripped down Xiao Ning'er's body as she gazed at Lin Lingtian who was staring at the treasures they had obtained . As he separated the treasures into two piles .

" Separating the items that are lethal to use from items that are not ."
Lin Lingtian continued to separate items that would give him some powerful statuses as suddenly his eyes twitched as he received a message from the Temporal Qilin Telepathically .
[ Master , I have found the Draconic Caves . What are you further Orders ? ]
[ Stay there for now , inform me if any changes happen ]

Taking a deep breath , Lin Lingtian cracked a smile .
Looks like it was still there as it was in the time of the old man .
The Draconic Caves .
From the time of the nameless old man , the royal Huyan family of that Era ," The a tyrannical family that was unrivalled for a thousand years .
Many experts and talents tried to challenge the royal family but the result was all the same .
Death .
No one was able to stand against the tyrannical royal huyan family . It was as if the royal family was blessed by the heavens itself to rule over the Divine Continent in that Era.
One day suddenly the royal Huyan family disappeared leaving behind a power vaccum .
Everyone wanted to sit on the throne as war engulfed the land .
The nameless old man in his search to create the Lævateinn had found out a secret to answer the question as to why the royal family was so powerful ?
When he had found the fabled draconic caves using the Earth Vein Compass , the old man couldn't believe it as he was attacked by many many demonic beasts .
Luckily he had survived by hiding inside a cave which had a companion for him in the form of the corpse of the previous Emperor " Huyan Long'an "
Reading the journals of the previous Emperor, he came to know of a great secret .
The Royal family was connected to the Draconic Caves as the founder of the royal family was lucky enough to gain a Spiritual Beast that would one day rise to become the master of the Draconic Caves .
With the resources of the Draconic Caves , The royal family rose to the top of that era .
The nameless old man wanted to create the Spiritual Flame with a method he had gotten from some old ruins . The Technique specified that the most versatile and highest quality spiritual flame was the Spiritual Flame of Nirvana.
But the old man had to give up that dream as to create the Spiritual Flame of Nirvana he needed to have access to the Dragon pearl , one of the three essential components of the Spiritual Flame of Nirvana .
With the journal of the previous Emperor he knew that the dragon pearl was in the Draconic Caves but there was one problem to obtaining that item .
The ruler of the Draconic Caves was a Spiritual God realm expert .
The Spiritual God of Earth .
Hence the old man had just sighed and gave up on idea of obtaining the Dragon pearl.
Lin Lingtian sighed as he remembered who the enemy this time was.
A Spiritual God rank .
Due to the memories from the Snow Wind Era he knew what a Spiritual God was ? A
Clicking his tongue , Lin Lingtian continued to appraisal all the items he had . Items that could give him statuses were his priority for now .
He had ordered Yang Xin to start creating the more advanced pills .
The other demon beasts were also out there searching for the other two components of the Spiritual Flame of Nirvana.
Taking a deep breath , Lin Lingtian sighed . He really needed a solid plan if he wants to create the most strongest Spiritual Flame he currently knows about .

[ Heavenly Fate Plateau ]
A 100 miles ( 161 km ) isolated plateau located in the Saint Ancestral Mountain Range .
One of the places in which humanity has survived from the Demon Beasts .
There is only one path up the mountain to the plateau due to topography, making it relatively safe from demon animals, but food and supplies are scarce. There's also the mysterious and terrifying Black Spring beneath it.

" Congratulations ! Young master Xiao Kuang ."
A bald young man with the Cultivation of 3 star Gold Fighter Rank arrogantly looked at the demon beast he had killed with his own hands .
He is the 2nd son of the chief of the Heavenly Fate Plateau , Xiao Wu .
Hearing his subordinates praise him , Xiao Kuang arrogantly laughed .
Watching from above , Izabel looked at the humans laughing as they had killed a weak 2 star silver rank demon beast .
" Interesting , I must inform my Lord of this ."

[ St. Ancestral Mountain Range : Dark Ruins ]
The Saint Ancestral Mountain Range contains a group of ruins not far from Glory City. It's said that a Legend rank Demon Spiritualist lived here before the Age of Darkness, and that they merged with a terrifying demon spirit. It was taken over by nightmarish demon spirits after their deaths. Only those with the Black Gold or higher rank would be brave enough to enter.

Many Nightmare Demon beasts ran away from the duo of the Snow Queen and the howling reapers .

Slabs of ice rushed towards the Demon beasts , impaling many of them and freezing their bodies .

The Snow Queen gazed at the retreating Demon beasts as suddenly giant white protrusions erupting from the ground impaling .
" Hehehe "
The Snow Wind Queen glanced at the howling reaper as it continued to giggle .

[ The Endless Desert ]
The Abyssal Golden Narwhal and the Blue Spiked Stingray dodged the attacks of the group of 5 star Gold rank Blood Moon Centipede .

A ball of corrosive poison was shot out of the Blue Spiked Stingray towards the leader of the Blood Moon Centipede .

Rather then feeling fear from the death of their leader , the blood moon centipede rushed at the duo .

The Mutated Demon Horned Sheep and the Mutated Fanged Panda walked through the eriee forest located near Glory City .
They had not encountered any kind of Demon beast ever since entering this forest yet the feeling of danger had not left even though nothing was there .
" Hahahaha , to think trash like you would be brave enough to enter this Lord's Domain ."
An extremely handsome white hair man casually walked towards the duo .
The two took on step back as the white hair man smiled and stepped forward .

A white mist blew in the devil forest as the Mutated Fanged Panda and Mutated Horned Sheep were both broken into shards of Ice . They were both instantaneously killed when confronting the most powerful demon beast in the Divine Continent , the Emperor Demon Beast Zhu Long .

Zhu Long smiled while casually taking out a black lotus .
The petals of the the black Lotus opened and all the soul force in the environment twisted and turned . It was as if soul force had met it's complete opposite .
The Souls of the mutated Fanged Panda and Mutated Horned Sheep were sucked into the black lotus as it's petal closed .
" You two should feel honoured . You will become fuel for the Ashura Soul Altar ."

Sitting cross legged , Lin Lingtian planted a few talismans on his arms and legs .
Taking a deep breath , Lin Lingtian channeled soul force through the talismans .

Lin Lingtian nodded as he looked at the remaining items . At first he was excited to search through everything he had found to find items that would give him statuses but after thoroughly searching he found that there were not that many items in his possession that could give statuses .
Taking out a couple of forbidden talismans , Lin Lingtian began using them .

He sighed , if only there were only more Talismans inside the Yata no Kagami that gave him passive statuses .

After eating this medicinal pill, Lin felt that his soul and body were firmly tied together. Even if his body was cut into pieces, his soul could still adhere closely to his body and help control his limbs.
This kind of tolerance towards injuries was
practically even more exaggerated than undead creatures like zombies or skeletons.
