Chapter Ten

Three unmarked boxes were in the carriage along with one mysterious, and wealthy looking purple pouch. Shen Fang then had the guards do a few maneuvers to make sure they were not being tracked and then transferred the good's into his previous carriage inside a small crease before heading home.

Although his mother's people were with him in the carriage there inevitably might be leaks somewhere but the only one capable of this would be his father so the sooner he got home without being spotted the better. He had no need to worry about the loyalty of the guards since they couldn't speak and was owned by his mother.

While Shen Fang was having his own thoughts Shen Yue was making his own decisions taking a look at the list of goods and shops given to him but was relieved and disappointed.

~"Happily and sadly there is no such thing as toilet paper, so although I suffer temporarily I can make a lot of money with the knowledge from my past life and soon I need to start implementing it.

For that I need workers, and a lab built for myself. But that much money doesn't come easily. At least, I have an idea to get some funding from the family that's more obviously impactful and at the start more profitable in the short term than my other ideas.

For now I need to make connections with the craftsmen guild and order my instruments to be made."~ Thought Shen Yue.

"Take me to the craftsmen guild so I can make a few orders, and make me some tea." He spoke In a steady but stout voice commanding his servants.

His servant's quickly got to work and drove the carriage to the craftsmen guild allowing Shen Yue to relax. The ride would be a long ways away but he occupied his time by drinking tea and doing different arithmetic in his mind.

~"I think I can live the rest of my life like this."~ Shen Yue thought to himself as observed the rapidly changing scenery.

About two hours later, Shen Yue arrived at the crafting guild and looked at his servants and guards. These were well trained men and women who would respond to his every need willing and forced to do almost anything he desired. That almost will be removed if he manages to become the next in line for the patriarch position.

"Set up a meeting with two high ranking craftsmen and bring them to the carriage and tell them I have a very "Important" project and I want the guild working on it." Shen Yue spoke to his subordinates empathizing the word Important.

And while they had no idea what that project entailed it was none of their business and after a period of discussion two guards and two servants headed to the building along with a token signalling the sacred family.

The craftsmen guild's building was magnificent and huge with many different pieces of art and expensive materials but not as much as a major noble family. The craftsmen guild did not to offend the nobles by having a better looking place than the major aristocratic families because despite their wealth their rank in society was low.

Two guards stood tall across from each other near a pair of golden doors, and moved when they saw Shen Yue's servant approaching. But they did not speak recklessly because of the servant's familiar uniform.

"Token please?"Asked the guard who was first to move with long blond hair.He was just a normal mob but had hopes of being a craftsman one day but for now he wasn't even a fourth grade craftsman and his dreams of reaching first grade had low odds.

One of the servant's showed the token and then the guards for the craftsmen guild proceeded to make way and allowed them to enter.

Walking into the building they did not search for the guild master since considering their young masters status it would be too imprudent so they found two second ranked craftsmen and brought with them to the carriage with the allure of gold.

One was named Lian Huo a stout and stubby person with a grand mustache, and the other was named Peng Ju who was lanky and more refined looking but his hands were especially delicate and was clearly well taken care of.

But both of them were unsure about what a little eight year old kid wanted but both of them needed gold for research projects so they waited.

"I need someone who can forge some things for me as well as a woodworker. Both of you fit those requirements right? " Asked Shen Yue unhurriedly.

Both of them nodded yes, and their eyes widened as Shen Yue took out and showed them 4 parchments. It was for two things, one was an instrument called the DaiQin(A/n:for the sake of us all I will refer to it as the cello from now on.) and the second was called a jita(I'm using the word guitar) and both were something they had never seen before.

Shen Yue had briefly considered using the crafting guild to produce his agricultural tools and some other things he well read upon, but thought better from it for a few reasons but a major one for him would be that the benefits of doing that was not worth it.

Selling the technology would not only stop him from monopolizing the tools but it would also put more spies and forces on what's already surrounding him once the value is realized.

So the best way to build a relationship and get what he wants would be to order something he wouldn't mind being made for others and considering the current cost of the item's development no one would actively seek to buy the instrument unless it was a bad attempt of gaining his favor.

"Sir, you want us to make these things?" Asked the short man in a more respectful voice than intended since despite the crude drawings the idea behind them was if it has been refined thousands of times before arriving at the most perfect form it could be.

This meant to blacksmith and woodworker that they needed to fill some very high expectations and failure to deliver would be a disaster for them but they couldn't easily decline a request from one the major noble families.

"Did I not say so earlier, I need prototypes of these made from regular materials and after looking at a few models we will use spirit materials." Shen Yue said, making them feel relieved that he wasn't a tyrant like most of their noble clients.

"Rest assured, in the next few days I will complete the assignment with haste." Spoke the tall and skinny man for him the sooner he could make the prototypes the better for him.

"I swear upon my family name that I will work until it satisfies you my lord." The short man said bowing slightly.

"You may leave, it's a long trip back to the manor ." Shen Yue said before handing them a coin.

" The package will go straight to me and no one else. Here is my token for when you deliver the demo products and make sure you come only to me and no one else." Shen Yue said, kicking them out of the carriage quickly.

Shen Yue's crew then went slowly back to the manor and Shen Yue was eager to know more about his situation but there was nothing he could talk about to them so he only could observe and infer from the reactions of people so he once again relaxed doing math and drinking tea.
