Chapter 11

It's been one week for Shen Yue and besides going to fitness class, and reading books in his spare time; he also got more familiar with his siblings and he managed to improve his archery.

Unknowingly to him, the wheel in his mind kept spinning around gathering "dust" from around itself, grinding it and then releasing it inside his body.

Then the body would absorb the "dust", as if it was starving with ravenous hunger. And once all the dust was absorbed the process was started all over again.

Currently Shen Yue was busy practicing math while meditating.

"Young master they have arrived."-Spoke a servant.

Meanwhile at the entrance of the manor two people, both with strangely made cases; were standing still as if waiting for someone or something. One was short and big, with bushy brown hair, The other tall and skinny, with black hair and longer nose.

They were both craftsmen hired by Shen Yue, and although the order was made to find out what it was, Shen Xiu didn't know what exactly was made due to a temporary inability to steal the drawings.

She only had one spy in there and wasn't able to do much before her movements were restricted so after getting a few details from the guard she planted in Shen Yue's carriage she awaited for them to arrive.

The two craftsmen didn't have to wait long when a few snobby looking servants made their way and greeted them.

"The purpose of your… visit?" Asked the leading servant in an obnoxious and snooty voice with a glint in his eye..

"

We have some items for young master Yue." Spoke the taller and skinnier craftsman.

"Your. Names." Said the servant, he was obviously hostile so the craftsmen quickly showed the token while saying their names albeit in a more disrespectful tone.

"Lian Huo." Said the short man

"Peng Ju. " Spoke the tall one

"Hand over the cases." the servant said arrogantly, giving a sign to the other two servants behind him both arranged for a fight.

~"What's two servants compared to the young master that showed up? There are obviously some reasons he wanted us not to give the cases, and showing hostility so fast means…

...it might not be as simple we thought."~ Thought Lian Hou.

~"Still , this might only be a test and in that case we can get some great favor if we follow the young master's commands so the best thing to do is to keep to his original instruction."~ Thought Peng Ju

~"I guess it means a fight."~ Thought Lian Hou while scanning around the area.

Besides the convenient enough space to fight, there were very few things that could be used for cover except a couple of statues and small trees that were leading into the manor.

The rest was just dirt and the possibility of others coming to back up the other servants which was the real worry of Lian Hou, and Peng Ju.

For now it was just a standoff between the two groups of fighters, each trying to read the other's mind.

The tension could be felt with a knife and for three minutes no one moved a muscle, the sun in the sky was balreing with heat and sweat started to build onto all but Peng Ju who was a blacksmith.

Each one of the fighters had their senses focused to the max, and when a drop of dew from the plant hit the ground all fighters moved at high speeds towards each other.

Then was followed by a beauty of martial arts each strike practiced with the utmost dedication and it was as if each movement was guided by the wind as they elegantly danced with their battle.

Moving through the battle with a cautious heart Lian Hou used his superior footwork twisting left than right than shadowing his opponents before widening the distance for Peng Ju to lay heavy haymakers with his fist while Lian Hou assisted with sharp kicks and a small blade hidden within his sleeves.

This forced the group of servants into a stalemate despite their slightly superior cultivation and firm coordination.

The first servant was the one silently giving commands and staying out of the battle while the two servants beside him were doing most of the grunt work to allow the first servant to position himself better but then it happened.

Peng ju let his guard down for a brief second and Lian Hou was in the midst of dodging allowing the bastard of a servant to place himself in the right position and finnish the formation.

~"Three headed, wolf formation."~ Thought the servant's who used an extremely vicious formation. They slept around using their bodies and the surrounding environment trying to gouge, shred, cut, maim and degrade Peng Ju.

Who now alone, started to receive injuries and although they were minor every single one of them was a close call.

Angered by the injuries, he knew in his heart that Lian hou who was trying to break the cycle of attacks wouldn't be able to help him without inside assistance so he gathered his soul force and… activated his demon spirit.

"Clear sky force hammer!" Roared Peng Ju before wielding his soul force and smashing one of the subordinate servant's bodies in the right shoulder breaking his arm and ribcage sending him flying.

"Wood carving blade!" Roared Lian Hou

"White spotted crouching tiger! " Roared the servant who started all this.

I Nijan Kan will kill you today!" Shouted the man with the white spotted tiger.

"Flaming monkey."The embarrassed subordinate said before rushing towards the two along with his boss Nijan Kan who activated his claws before giving a fury of blows towards Peng Ju.

While the subordinate just charged headfirst towards Lian hou while coating his arms with some soul force.

One, two, three, four, five, ten, sixteen, one hundred.

It didn't matter how many times he attacked, Peng Ju seemingly parried each strike blow for blow while Lian Hou focused his soul force around his blade.

~"First form carving technique: Shape."~ Thought Lian Hou and with that the subordinate of Nijan Kan was cut down leaving just Ni Kan.

The battle between Ni Kan and Peng Ju was coming to a climax but then a hole was exposed in Ni Kan's guard leaving him open to Peng Ju which he tried to exploit however, before he could do so Peng Ju was whisked away by Lian Hou and then heard a familiar voice call out to them.

"Stop the battle!" Shen Yue said, appearing alongside his aunt which caused the three of them to stop.
