Chapter 8

Well class has been boring, I've not been able to focus in class because I've been thinking of what Raphael said, why did he want to be with me privately? I might just be reading meaning into nothing, I guess its because he has no friends yet, the bell just rang and class is over, I walk into the hallway to see Raphael with a bunch of other students, a girl has her hand draped over his shoulder, he sees me but ignores me and that stings my heart a lot, I turn around and leave, what was I thinking? Of course he had to make friends, his probably not like me, why did I ever think he might be into me? Then the memory of him closing in on me, taking me out for ice cream and this this morning surfaces to my mind and I know my answer, its because he was very sweet and nice to me but it might have been nothing, I take a vow to only treat him as a friend from now on, no more thinking of him as a crush. Well i'm bored and alone so what do I do? Well I hang out with Emily, she's nice I mean she's obviously a hot chick from a wealthy family but she hangs out with me so she's cool. I called her line but its not reachable, I decide to go to the school field when I see two guy's, they look weird, kind off, it must be the colors of their hair which is giving me a weird vibe, the colors are green and purple, I guess this is the 21st century so they are free to do as they please, not everyone has to be nerdy like me. Its not like I'm nerdy I'm just more of an introvert. I can't stop thinking of him, I feel he's my air and without him I can't breath and I don't like that feeling at all, its not good for me, it would have been better if he felt the same way but he obviously doesn't, he's made new friends and why the fuck can't he? He's free to do what ever he wants to do but even with that knowledge I still feel like I've been stabbed. Well its not my fault, he made me feel things no one has ever made me feel, he gave me clues and gave me hopes of there being something between us but it seems I was wrong so I have to forget about him. Pissed off, I decide to head home since I can't find Emily when this guy bumps into me. "Hey, watch where your going" I say to him as he apologizes at the same time and this makes me feel like a terrible person because I just vented my eyes on an innocent person. "I'm sorry, I'm just stresded" I apologize to him when I see his eye, I don't kniw why but his eyes are very bewitching, I feel like I'm an insect caught in a spiders web, his eyes are kind of a hazy purple if that is even a color. "My name is tal.... I mean jasper, my names jasper and apologies accepted". I look at him, a trace of surprise because his voice sounds familiar but I just can't place where I've heard it before. I nod my head and bring my hand for a handshake. "My name's Austin". He kept staring at me and I also kept staring at him too. "I don't mean to stare but its just that I've not seen someone as handsome as you in this school before". "I'm flattered by your compliment, I also haven't seen you in this school before". "Yeah, I joined two weeks ago and I've been quite busy, but I must say, your really handsome". "Are you flirting with me?" I ask him sarcastically and he replies, "and so what if I am?". The honesty in his voice tells me his not joking, he holds my hand and it seems he wants to kiss it when Raphael suddenly comes in and the look in his eyes shows his not happy. "What are you doing?".
