Chapter 24 In The Cave

"Haa!" Yang Yu yawned as he woke up. "It seems Junior finally woke up." Wang Haotian said as Yang Yu nodded. "So what's the plan?" Yang Yu asked as he rose from the ground.

"We're not sure, just look outside." Wang Haotian said as Yang Yu gazed outside. The sun was high in the sky and trees were strewn everywhere, but that wasn't the problem, the problem was that although much less than before, beasts were still running through the forest.

"Is this still happening?" Yang Yu asked in shock. "Yes unfortunately, if this keeps up even the Elders won't be able to clear it all up, not only that but there will have to be a search and rescue team to find us and the other disciples." Wang Haotian said as his expression was dire.

"Hopefully the Blood Sword Sect won't get involved." Wang Haotian murmured under his breath. "Anyway, I say we go for the fruits." Zhao Shen said as he slammed his fist on his chest.

"Shoosh, what if the beasts notice us? We'll be trapped in this cave." Wang Haotian said as he quieted Zhao Shen down. "Okay, anyway I say we get the fruits, if we leave them there our enemies could grab them." Zhao Shen said as Wang Haotian nodded.

"Safety first." Chen Feng chimed in on the side. "What about you?" Wang Haotian asked as he looked towards Yang Yu. "Before I make a decision, what are the fruits?" Yang Yu asked curiously.

"....Eh, well you were gonna find out sooner or later. A few years back when we were out and about in the forest we came across a tree, on it, it held 4 fruits extremely bright in colour. In our younger days, we weren't as cautious so we attempted to grab them, but were attacked viciously by a few beasts. The odds at the time weren't in out favour so we retreated, and on checking up a book of alchemy ingredients we found what the fruit was, a Strength Enhancing Fruit." Wang Haotian explained, as Chen Feng nodded.

"What does it do?" Yang Yu asked in some curiosity. "Well, it doubles the strength of anyone in the Body Refinement Realm." Wang Haotian answered. "...Did you say, double?" Yang Yu asked in shock.

"Yes double, because of this we wanted to grab the fruits and eat them before breaking through into Qi Inscription, this way our foundation would be solidified and I could finally beat that Xu Tianlong bastard." Wang Haotian said in anger as he clenched his fists.

"Okay, then who gets the fourth one?" Yang Yu asked with well hidden excitement. "No one, we're going to plant it, in 20 years we could get our own tree and we could give it to talented disciples, this way the Sky Spirit Sect would grow even stronger." Wang Haotian said with a calm expression.

"He does make some sense you know." Yun Zhu said from within the ring. 'Shut up.' Yang Yu thought in some anger. 'Well Wang Haotian was clear that I wouldn't get any treasure probably, the spirit stones are good enough.' Yang Yu thought.

"I've come to a conclusion. I don't care as long as you can assure me that we have an above 70% chance of success." Yang Yu said calmly. "Good I thought you wouldn't want to continue after learning that you wouldn't get the treasure." Wang Haotian said in relief.

"Would you like me to change my mind?" Yang Yu replied with as Wang Haotian shut up. "I am confident nothing can generally stop us in this forest, but accidents always happen, and with this uncertainty I think its best we go back to the sect." Chen Feng chimed in yet again.

"Come on, if we never take risks Chen Feng then life would never be exciting!" Wang Haotian replied. "I rather live to see another day." Chen Feng answered as Wang Haotian shut mouth.

"Also, we lost all our supplies haven't eaten anything since last night, and I haven't slept at all." Chen Feng continued as Wang Haotian's expression soured. "Fine, I guess we'll head back, hopefully the fruits will still be there and I can ask one of the Elders to go fetch them." Wang Haotian said as he swung his robe.

"Actually, I have my items." Yang Yu said, as a few porcelain bottles appeared in his hand. "But in exchange I want some compensation, any other treasures we find, I will have first pick from, and I want 10 Spirit Stones extra." Yang Yu continued as the trio looked at him in awe.

"How did you?" Zhao Shen said dumbfounded. "A treasure I found, regardless, I don't think you'd kill your junior over a small storage item right?" Yang Yu said as they nodded.

"I think I read about them somewhere, spatial rings, they're rare but not quite rare in the upper level sects, they're extremely rare for our lowest level sect though." Wang Haotian said with a bit of a jealous expression, but soon he shook his head.

"Anyway we all have our fair share of treasures, this can be considered Junior Brother's fortune." Wang Haotian said as Chen Feng nodded. "Did you keep any food in there?" Zhao Shen asked as his stomach grumbled.

"Here." Yang Yu said as he tossed him some food. "Junior Brother is definitely the best." Zhao Shen said before gorging on the food. "This changes things." Chen Feng said as he got up.

"So we're in agreement?" Wang Haotian asked. "Yesh!" "Sure, but don't forget my compensation." "Mhm" They each said one after the other.

"Good, well its time to devise a plan." Wang Haotian said as he began to cut into the ground with his sword. "So we can do this, or this, what would work better?" He asked, and hence began an hour long discussion on what route they should take.
