Chapter 245: Realizing the Something

Lila's skin dried and broke out. The infection started to create a small hole in her side. Hexel and Ain tried to observe the wound since it was like a small volcano. When Hexel pinch the part he felt something responded.

"This is not an infection rather the enemy laid an egg of both moth in Lila's skin." Hexel explained.

"Then what should we do?" Ain inquired.

"Lila had it on her side and on her back so we have to pull it out. In order to do that you have to strip we will apply the ointment prepared by Ain."

Hexel instructed.

Kiel suddenly halted Lila who is about to strip.

"Just tell me what to do I will do it." Kiel said with a little calmness.

"Huh are you sure? You don't have a steady hand." Hexel argued.

Ain can see how Kiel's face almost grew a horn with a novice warning tone.

"I will do it."

Ain just pulled the insensitive duke out of the tent.

"You can't be this awful. Kiel does not want you to see Lila's bare skin."

Hexel just realized the situation and smiled.

Ophir, Nevi and Urchin went out to perform their task. They needed to close the crack before it grows. Ophir heared the familiar sound of arctic. They were lead on the main source of the creek that have a hole instead of a crack. Nevi used his strength to close the gap. Ophir doubled it by applying his gift in blood to steady the hole. Urchin paused the movement of the expanding hole.

"We need to do something or this hole will just vacuum us in." Nevi stated.

"Okay, any suggestions?" Ophir asked.

"Use your gift of word uncle." Urchin stated.

Ophir retracted his hand and did as Urchin suggested. Urchin opened a trance to lessen the effect or the other might notice.

But they were surprised to see Sage easily had it zip with his finger.

The three were shock to see the man.

"I thought you guys were acting fishy."

Sage notified after swiftly overpowering the hole.

Ophir just gaped and explain the situation. Sage just listened and asked.

"Then why are guys keeping it a secret?"

Ophir and Nevi were speechless and it was Urchin who answered.

"Papa said so. To avoid making the parents get worried."

Sage nodded his head and smiled

"Okay but next time you have to tell the others or else they will sniff it out on you."

Nevi, Urchin and Ophir agreed and started to truly gather the food. They looked for leafy vegetables but they end up catching a bunch of fishes and fruits.

Sage looked at how the three easily get along. He can tell that this three sealed all of the crack in their every tent and stop. Sage watched as they diligently collect every weed that Ain might use.

But it also did not escape Sage's pheriperal view the knight tailing behind them.

It was Mem. Sage suspected that he's been silently guiding and following the three only to see if they will be safe and sound. Sage can just chuckle at the thought. He was always doing it for the Tale Bearers. Sage silently saluted his ability to conceal his presence fully knowing that Ophir's golden ear is at work but seeing how distracted Ophir is that can be a segway for him to monitor and instantly leave once he confirmed their safety.

Sage clapped his hands when he was sure that Mem already arrived at the camp.

"Let's go because you see the sun is about to set down." Sage suggested.

Kiel waited for Lila to remove her upper garment and gently applied the ointment.

"Are you sure about this Kiel. You know this are alive right?" Lila inquired as she lay flat on the bed with her front on the sheets.

Kiel stared and sighed.

"Yes, don't you trust me?"

Lila tilt her head and said

"I do."

When the both started to show it's head. Kiel prepared the sanitized tweezer crafted by Natalina's silver.

He started to yank it's head and pull the both moth. Lila started to press her face on the soft pillow to muffle her scream. She can feel the moth wiggle beneath her skin. She can feel somehow relieved when one moth got pulled.

Kiel carefully pull another one to avoid it from being pooped or it might cause an infection inside her system.

Kiel can hear Lila's yelp as the number added up. It's 66th both moth and there are still five to go. He tried to press it and irritate it but Lila clench the pillow.

Kiel paused and sat to see Lila sweating and is looking pale.

"Hey, Tell me if it's too much." Kiel gently whispered as he wipe a strand of her hair wet from the sweat.

"Yeah, it'a painful but I will be fine just remove all of it." Lila whispered back.

Ophir who caught the words blushed. Ophir had his thoughts turning green. Nevi asked him what was wrong but he just wanted to keep it to himself for Kiel and Lila's privacy. His ears perked up when Lila moaned trying to suppress the pain.

Kiel watched as Lila gasped from the last worm. She can finally be relieved. Kiel did as Hexel instructed and went out of the tent only to see Ophir's face staring at him as it steam out from what he was hearing. Kiel was a fastball enough to understand.

"Hey quit it, it's not like that." Kiel stated.

Ophir just winked at him making Kiel get irratated and annoyed.

"I said it's not like that!" Kiel dignified.

Ophir just waved it with a cheeky gesture to tease Kiel. Later on, Ophir heared from Ain about Lila's case. Ophir again released a steam of embarrassment at how he accused Kiel. Lila just slept through the day that Keil needed to wake her up to be fed. The holes looked like a tiny erupted volcano on her skin. Hexel advised Lila to just cover herself with a blanket or robe to avoid irritating the healing hole. Lila held the blanket firmly on her front as Kiel insisted to fed her. When it got stained from the food. Kiel tried to pull out the blanket from her grip only to be scolded.

"Stop acting too bashfully. I already counted all mole in your body. Let us use mine."
