Chapter 136: The Corner Garment
As soon as the news about the Palace being crushed by a single woman broke out. A lot of wizard who practiced dark magics have come to attempt and kill Cyrus for the throne. Sotai's strategy is to remain close at the said site to defend Cyrus and Cyprus with Kish and the people who are rebuilding the main palace.
Ophir and Nevi were put upon the gate to halt all the wizard who attempted to enter the entrance. Lehi, Lila and Ain are put by the border at Gardenia's grave. It can be a shortcut to traverse and reach the rebuilding area.
Kiel and Urchin are with Evi to defend the south part. While Sage, Kennan and Hexel were positioned at the east wall.
Natalina and Sotai are left to defend the queen's palace. Mem and Eyel stripped their current service and geared up to be in a combat position to secure the Myrhh Cinnamon Library.
Lehi, Ain and Lila easily terminated the swarming sorcerers with their gifts. Kiel, Urchin and Evi defended thier post well. Hexel, Sage and Kenan mercilessly annihilated the demons, giants and ogre approaching their base. Mem and Eyel worked well as they cleaned up the dark aura and witches tried to enter the library. Sotai and Natalina has sanctified the whole area as they put on a barrier to prevent the enemy from entering. The barrier burnt and electrified those who attempt to forced themselves in. Cyrus, Kish and Cyprus beat thier intruders not with gifts nor weapon but prayers. Ophir and Nevi had the last showdown and the demons retreated when they had no way of entering and taking the King's head.
After the long awaited three months. The palace got rebuild and the people of El Oatniel Kingdom rejoiced as they blessed and marched encircling their palace. They sing and worship their God. The opponents heared of how the people reunited with their precious temple and throne. The holy presence united the people's heart and it melted the enemy's in fear when they heared how they victoriously defend the Kingdom.
Asno, Aquila, Von, Wee and Yael joined the celebration with Aleph. Yodh and Taw stayed for an overnight feast and drinking, then the couple left for their journey. The El Oathniel Kingdom got reformed with a vast room for praying and reading scriptures that is open for the public. Most of the people complained about the temple being on the desolate part of the hill with endless stairs. Which Cyprus agreed since he had the same inward argument when he hiked up with his wife. Kenan fulfilled Novena's task as the main librarian. Natalina became Cyrus secretary. Cyrus heared what happened from Ophir and he needs to switch out people before his task get hectic. He honestly want to retire and be part of the Harpsichord but it's not now yet.
Evi took a leave and visisted her husband for his birthday. Ain went with her and experienced a family bonding for the first time. Ain used to hate not being able to celebrate his own with his parents but having one right now is totally worth it. The broken household is now a noteworthy home for them even if they are just starting. Ain always wore the pin given by the late queen. It's the symbol of his turning point in life. Ain find it strange that he can freely express himself right now despite eating and standing within the same space with Cyprus. It's thanks to his seniors, being part of the Tale Bearer helpes his cravings toward the spiritual milk to be empowered.
Sage looked around and found the young priest kneeling at the back garden. They put on an violet garden since they said that is symbolises royalty. The young priest looked upset for the past few days. Sage left the egg pie he experimented at the entrance with a note.
"Try this new found version of egg. Young priest."
Hexel and Tera were arguing since Hexel has been set up for another marraige interview. Hexel knew and understand his mother's desire for him to have his own family but Hexel felt that it's not the right time yet. He does not have the interest nor inspiration to be in a committed relationship at this time. Hexel escaped from his mother's wrath in hid at Nevi's room.
Nevi heared how the duchess would insist a marraige ideal for his son but to the point that Hexel needs to retort in hidding is beyond hilarious. When Tera knocked at his door Hexel paincked and hid behind the curtain that highlights his figure. Nevi gestured him to hide under his bed and instantly open the door for Tera to look around. Gladly Hexel rolled under his bed that saved him from another tiring session.
Lila and Kiel are currently arguing about Urchin's date of birth that had Cyrpus caught as he tried to recall the exact date. When Cyprus mentioned the date. Ophir and Urchin had the same birthday that has passed by. Meaning Urchin is now four years old without them having the chance to celebrate.
Ophir and Lehi stared and checked the list of books they gathered. Lehi tried to apply the reverb to atleas put on Novena's memory in one of those books but her story were unattainable. Lehi explained how the people in their world forget about Nevi. She feared that the same thing might happen to Novena but the others have a clear memory of their librarian. Cyrus just said that she resigned due to her family moving out for a quest but the truth was nobody was aware of her background, roots nor origin. Even Kenan only knew a few thing about her. Kenan mentioned that he made an effort to gain more information about Novena but it was fruitless.
Ophir requested an audience with the King to inquire if he atleast know a detail about Novena but the King just quoted what their grandmother Celicia said about her when they were younger.
"She is a being that existed to reunite the bond of people's who are hundred mile apart. But she is also someone that when her light turns off she will ceased to flourish upon someone's memory."
