Chapter 135: Because of Us.

Kenan got visited by Nevi and Ophir. Kenan heared what happened to Lehi. His face casted a gloomy shadow. It was the same as him. Nevi perked up the question about his prolonged stay within this era and Kenan finally spoke about his past since he wanted to encourage and motivate the two.

"My well got destroyed by Holga. As a harpsichord the most important portal in our life is the well we came from. Since the three of you came from one well then you two had no way to get back unto your era just like me."

Ophir and Nevi looked at each other in disbelief. Ophir asked above whisper since Hexel is with them.

"What? Then do you happen to know the person Holga mentioned?"

Kenan shook his head with a mouthed no. Ophir and Nevi can't help but blame Novena on the matter. Yes it's not entirely her fault but she could have informed them about the issue. Kenan read through their faces.

"It's the third time that Novena had her Harpsichord fallen. The first pair was the person who established the El Oathniel Kingdom, Celicia."

Nevi and Ophir suddenly excused Kenan from Hexel and carried him out toward Nevi's room. Kenan proceeded when they settled.

"I bet you heared the historical background right?" The two nodded urging him to continue.

Kenan giggled at their interest and cleared his throat.

"Celicia got killed in front of Novena by the same person. Novena quit being a care taker since her first ever flock got killed by her own disciple. She blamed herself and rejected the offer. After hundred years. She decided to recommit being one of the care takers. I was one of the Harpsichord. During my time I paired up with a woman who was a nagger. Holga held a grudge toward Novena and planned to shatter Novena's spirit. Novena got jailed and punished for allowing one of her harpsichord to get trapped unto this world. I don't know what will happen of her but please don't be too harsh with her."

Nevi and Ophir immediately apologised toward Novena. Novena just hugged the two and inform them about the case.

"It seems that someone messed with your wells causing the three of you to enter one well. I will have to look for Nevi's well. The higher ups granted a special favour toward Lehi since she is from an apostolic line. Wait for me boys."

Ophir and Nevi pleaded to be the one to cross the well but Novena strictly advised them not to do it. They agreed and supported Novena's decision.

Novena turned unto a firefly and flew out to seek Nevi's well.

Lehi float unto the fountain where she came from. The kids help her get up. Lehi checked the date and it was the same day she disappeared. When she asked around about Nevi, nobody recalled him. Lehi pretended that she mispronounced the name. She remembered everything that happened.

Lehi can't help but cry since she is scared to know that the Tale Bearers might have forgotten her existence.

Lehi tried to live like the usual with her normal routine she used to practice but her heart had a void space that is longing to see the El Oathniel People once more. It's her schedule to rang the bell from the tower when a well sprung right under the bell. Novena appeared and extended her hand.

Lehi's tears of joy damped her face. Novena had her put the bracelet, comb and coal shoes. They both dive in. Lehi appeared from the back garden of the queen's palace. The well were concealed by the flower and trees planted by Gardenia. She stood just beside Gardenia's grave.

Urchin and Ain was the first one to spot her. The whole team rejoiced at her instant come back. Nevi, Ophir and Kenan looked at each other amazed. Novena did it. She successfully retrieved Lehi. Lehi explained unto Kenan, Ophir and Nevi what happened.

"But the well I came from suddenly vanished."

The three informed her about them being trapped in this Kingdom forever.

Ophir, Nevi and Lehi stared in anguish at Kenan who wept in front of them.

"I got summoned as your new harpsichord. Novena got stripped down for passing a petition about Lehi's case. She got banished unto this era in exchange of Lehi's presence with you guys. Let us complete this mission and look for her together. I don't have any reason to exist here without her."

Lehi felt uneasy when Novena merrily extended her hand to get her. If only she knew that her return would have Novena banished from this era then she could have remained unto her world. Nevi already apologized but he felt guilty for pointing out that it's her fault. Ophir clicked his tongue for giving her the silent treatment.

Kenan encouraged the three who hanged their head in defeat.

"Let's have fun and enjoy this mission in her behalf. So don't blame yourselves. Stand up and I will show you my gift."

Kenan raised and clapped his hands and a blue kingfisher with the touch of lapis lazuli soared enchantingly.

"See, We can surely spot that person."

They suddenly cheered that startled the others.

Kenan vowed to protect the three from Holga. He needs to face her more confidently for his sake and Novena's restoration. He can't help but get pumped up when she personally bid goodbye. She left her hat unto his care.

"I have to keep my promise with her."

Ophir hugged Lehi as she break down inside their room. She felt too bad about Novena's case. Ophir just listened unto her sobs. Ophir can relate but he cannot deny the joy he felt for what Novena initiated. It might have been selfish but he vowed to reconnect with Novena.

Novena unraveled her face. She braided her long silver hair and approached the foreign town. She felt glad because she was able to do something for the kids. She blew a last kiss unto the sky and started a new voyage.
