Chapter 8: Fighting DreamFrye

DreamFrye just laughed when he saw that the fire dragon he conjured was killed easily by Greg, without breaking a sweat!

" Can you stop being annoying and let's just end things." DreamFrye said.

" You can't beat me and I won't let you take this thing from me. At least not after a good fight." DreamFrye added but Greg just conjured a broad sword out of nowhere as he took a fighting stance.

" Enough talking." Greg said slowly before he dashed towards DreamFrye quickly. Before he got to DreamFrye a fire cage descended from the sky with a great speed but before it could cover Greg, he waved his sword over his head and the cage was destroyed immediately. Greg turned to face DreamFrye after he destroyed the cage and he saw that he was already in the air looking at him with a frown on his face. Greg looked back to face his subordinates and he nodded suggestively, five men with black identical spears nodded in response.

They ran towards DreamFrye with the same speed and movements and they suddenly leapt up when they got close to DreamFrye. When they got to DreamFrye, they stabbed their spears at DreamFrye and a long boom was heard as the soldiers were flung away. DreamFrye already had a shield around him before the soldiers stabbed their spears at him and when their spears hit his shield, the shield exploded and the soldiers were sent flying.

Greg frowned as some soldiers with arrows started firing their arrows at DreamFrye but the arrows didn't hit DreamFrye. He kept dodging every arrow since the arrows have the special capability of piercing element shields so he kept dodging the arrow as he opened the book in his hand. As he opened the book in his hand, Greg leapt towards DreamFrye before waving his broadsword at DreamFrye. DreamFrye blocked Greg's sword with his staff before Greg waved his sword as DreamFrye again and he dodged the attack as he kept opening the book in his hand.

Before Greg could attack him again, a lightning strike suddenly hit DreamFrye and he was sent flying into the sky, a soldier was responsible for the attack. The soldier sent another lighting strike at DreamFrye but the attack was blocked before he could conjure another attack, a fire chain flew towards him swiftly. Before the soldier could dodge, the chain wrapped around his body and he bound to the ground as he cried in pain.

The chain burned his body and the soldier kept screaming, his armour couldn't prevent the chain from burning his skin. Before the chain could kill him, another soldier broke the chain.

DreamFrye kept blocking and dodging every attack thrown at him as he opened the book in his hand. He suddenly smiled as he blocked a large rock thrown at him, he looked at the soldiers on the ground and he waved his staff. A loud whooshing sound was heard as large fireballs that were as bright as stars descended from the sky towards the soldiers on the ground.

" Use your top powers to hide and block!" Greg suddenly shouted as his body turned shiny black and he held a shield over his head. The other soldiers used weird abilities and weapons before the large fireballs descended. A loud bang was suddenly heard as the ball hit the ground, Henry saw from afar different soldiers despite their defence blown away. Some soldiers were killed immediately when the balls hit them.

" I didn't want to do this." DreamFrye's voice resounded as the dust the attack caused went down. Greg and his subordinates quickly got up and they continued their assault. DreamFrye dived down towards Greg and Greg swung his broadsword at DreamFrye. But before his sword could hit him, DreamFrye's staff hit his chest and he sent flying. Spewing blood, he clutched his chest as he struggled to get on his feet, his shiny black skin turned to his normal skin.

Meanwhile, DreamFrye moved to another soldier, he hit the soldier's head with his staff and the soldier died immediately as his head exploded. Before DreamFrye made another attack, an arrow hit his chest but the arrow didn't pierce his skin. His robe stopped the arrow, he looked at the soldier that fired the arrow and he made to fly towards the soldier.

But he couldn't get off the ground, the sand under his feet bound him to the ground. DreamFrye smiled as he just hit the ground with his spear and the sand caught fire and he walked away. Suddenly a spear hit him but he conjured a shield at the last minute, preventing the spear from piercing his head.

DreamFrye casually waved his staff and six fire bombs flew towards the soldiers. Some soldiers survived the attack and some died immediately when the attack hit them or their shields. DreamFrye flew towards a soldier and he hit the soldier with his staff and the soldier was sent flying but she didn't die.

DreamFrye continued to attack the soldiers but unknown to him, the soldiers already surrounded him and they suddenly activated a suppressing array. DreamFrye plummeted from the sky and he fell to his knees as he writhed in pain. The array didn't let him use his powers and the more he used his powers, the more pain he felt. The soldier used the opportunity to send arrows towards DreamFrye and he couldn't block the arrows.

The arrows just scratched his body, they didn't hurt him because his robe still protected his body. A spear suddenly flew towards DreamFrye's head but the spear was blocked by a fire shield that was around DreamFrye's head. DreamFrye used the last of his powers to protect his head from the attack, he fell to the ground on his chest after blocking the attack. A soldier with a dagger walked towards DreamFrye that laid on the ground weakly. The soldier searched for his body but didn't find he was looking for.

" The crystal is not on him." The soldier shouted after searching DreamFrye.

" It should be on him." Greg said.

" Maybe he kept it somewhere, kill him." Greg said to the soldier. The soldier nodded and he stabbed his dagger at DreamFrye's head but the dagger didn't hit his head before it was knocked away.

DreamFrye knocked the dagger away with his staff as he managed to stand on his feet, DreamFrye faced the soldier before the soldier attacked him again. DreamFrye skillfully dodged the attack, before hitting the soldier with a punch. The soldier was sent out of the array before coughing blood as he hit the ground, Greg took a deep breath and he ran into the array. DreamFrye frowned because he knew that he couldn't defeat Greg without his powers. DreamFrye suddenly shouted as he gathered fire around his body.

The array was destroyed immediately and the men keeping the array running were burned to crisp and the men around the array were sent flying including Greg. DreamFrye smiled as he looked around and he saw the soldiers writhing in pain as they struggled to stand up, then his face turned solemn. He searched around his body before displaying a puzzled look on his face.

" Where did this crystal go?" DreamFrye asked himself.

" But Tiana didn't say it could move, maybe it landed somewhere when I was fighting these guys." DreamFrye said solemnly.
