Chapter 7: The search for DreamFrye.

One of the desert Ravens dived down from the sky heading towards Greg. Henry moved away from Greg and he quickly hid under some leaves where he could see the whole fight but the large birds wouldn't see him. Greg just stood in a spot expecting the bird that was approaching him fast but before the bird could reach him, a spear hit the bird, impaling it to a nearby tree.

" Shit! You shouldn't have done that, I wanted to try my new skill on these birds." Greg shouted as he saw that the bird that almost attacked him was killed by a subordinate.

" I am sorry sir, but I felt like I should protect you." The soldier said as the spear flew back to him after stretching his hand towards the spear.

" Whatever." Greg sneered.

" Let's quickly destroy these beasts, we don't have all the time in the world." Greg said and he immediately leapt to the sky and he caught a bird that was closer to the ground. He held the bird's neck before slamming the bird on the ground as he landed, the bird died immediately. Henry almost couldn't believe his eyes, just one hit killed the bird! He just saw a man leap to the sky like a helicopter on Earth and he killed the bird just by slamming it against the ground. Greg continued the process of leaping up to catch some birds then killing them and in a few minutes, all the birds were killed by Greg and his men. Henry finally counted the men in Greg's squadron, fifty powerful men.

" Hey Henry! Come over here, it's time to head out." Greg shouted before Henry walked out and he saw the ground littered with dead birds.

" You guys are really strong." Henry commented as he approached Greg.

" These birds are not so strong, just level 8 beasts." Greg said with a smile.

" Ohh." Henry said, he didn't know how every beast on this planet was levelled, he didn't know anything!

" Now lead us to where you were attacked." Greg said and he led him to where they placed the animals that would serve as transportation.

" What are these things?" Henry blurted out as he saw animals that looked like horses but they are definitely not horses.

" Horses." Greg simply said and he climbed on one, Henry was surprised that the animal is called a horse. The animal had long legs and a very big hoof and it also had long ears and sharp teeth.

" Get on it." Greg said.

" I can't, it's too tall." Henry responded.

" Get him on it." Greg ordered one of his soldiers and the soldier lifted Henry off the ground before placing him on the horse.

" Thank you." Henry said to the soldier with a smile but the soldier just ignored him as he walked to his own horse. Soon, they rode their horses into the desert, heading for the site of the attack with Henry leading them there. Henry almost puked his intestines throughout the ride, the horse moved too fast, faster than he could handle. But he managed to keep riding, they rode for two days straight and they finally reached the site of the accident. Everything still looked the same with metal pieces all around on blood stained scorched ground.

" This is where they were killed?" Greg asked and Henry nodded affirmatively. They all got down from their horses and Henry found a place to sit as he munched the meat they had roasted before heading here.

" Set up a perimeter around the environment." Greg ordered.

" Sonj, come get the job done." Greg called a soldier named Sonj over. Sonj walked around the site of the attack with a round metal ball in his hands. After a few minutes, Sonj told Greg some things that Henry didn't hear, then Greg ordered all the soldiers to pack up, and they were leaving.

" Where are you going?" Henry asked Greg.

" We found where DreamFrye went and we are heading there now." Greg responded.

" You are coming with us." Greg added and they rode away farther into the desert, the opposite direction of the forest. After riding for three hours, they smelled a metallic smell of blood and they saw dead bodies on the ground.

" Hold up, check it out." Greg stopped them all and he ordered one soldier to check the dead bodies. One of the soldiers dismounted his mount and he walked to the dead bodies, he looked and touched the bodies for minutes before walking towards Greg.

" They are bandits." The soldier started.

" Desert bandits, they were killed by fire judging from the wounds on their bodies." The soldier added.

" Let's go, we are getting closer to DreamFrye." Greg said and the soldier got back on his horse and they continued to ride into the desert until they saw a village.

" We are sleeping in this village today, we will continue tomorrow." Greg said and they rode into the small village, Henry saw fear in the eyes of everyone in the village immediately they rode into the village. After getting into the village, Henry saw a middle aged man with a long beard surrounded by villagers and soldiers in the village. Henry guessed that the man with the white beard was the village head.

" Welcome sirs to the village, I am Dean, the village leader." Dean said as he bowed his head, the other villagers also bowed.

" I am Greg, the leader of this squadron, we need a place to sleep tonight." Greg said firmly and Henry heard some whispers after Greg introduced himself.

" My pleasure sir." Dean said and they were provided with rooms that they slept for a night. Henry walked around the village so he would know how the people in the village acted. The next morning, they left the village after paying for the accommodation and food they ate. They continued to ride in the desert but they didn't see any sign of DreamFrye, Henry thought about the horse they have been riding since, the horses didn't seem to get tired at all, they were more efficient than the horses on Earth.

" I can sense him around here." One of the soldiers suddenly said and the atmosphere changed immediately.

" Get ready for battle." Greg solemnly ordered and all the soldiers prepared for battle.

" Henry, you are free to leave." Greg suddenly said and Henry smiled in surprise.

" Thank you." Henry responded but he didn't separate from them.

" You should leave now, what are you doing here?" Greg asked with a frown.

" I would leave but I want to see you guys kill DreamFrye." Henry said and all the soldiers around him laughed.

" We are not here to kill him but you can watch, just run after watching. We are going to be using our full powers and we don't want someone telling on us." Greg said and Henry understood what he said, this squadron is a special team and their capabilities are kept secret.

" I understand." Henry said before they finally saw DreamFrye. DreamFrye was standing in the middle of the road like he was waiting for Greg and his men. He had a tall staff beside him with a book in his hand and a cold look on his face.

" We keep meeting Greg, why can't you just leave me alone?" DreamFrye said loudly but Greg didn't respond immediately, he just climbed down from the horse then he walked towards DreamFrye with his subordinates behind him, prepared for battle.

" You keep committing crimes, but that's not my business now. I want you to return what you took and we can all forget about this." Greg said.

" I can't, you know I can't. This is what would change everything." DreamFrye responded.

" If that's the case, let's just fight it out." Greg said and his eyes gradually turned blank white.

" Gladly." DreamFrye said and the air around him became so hot that the sand underneath his feet burned. He waved his staff and a large flame that looked like a dragon flew towards Greg. The dragon flew like it had its life of its own and it was very fast as it flew towards Greg, Greg ran towards the dragon and he leapt up to meet the dragon in the air. A loud bang was heard when Greg collided with the dragon, seconds later the dragon already diminished to small flames and Greg landed on the ground, unscathed.
