"I can't wait to get to china just imagine all the places we could go"

They had been preparing for this for two weeks going through harsh drills and constant training the least they could do for them was give them a little break to have fun for a little while

"We're there for training not having a holiday Lydia"

She glared at the red haired boy who always tried to try and kill her joy

"Oh come on Ethan you can't tell me that you aren't excited for this trip"

"First of all it's an expedition not a trip and second of all I'm excited to be doing what I'm going there for"

"You're such a buzz kill how does Caleb even put up with you"

"Hey don't drag Caleb into this besides he loves my attitude don't you Caleb"

He turned towards the boy in question who seemed to be deep in thought

Li Wei just gave a small chuckle maybe after the expedition he could finally meet his little sister

Two days later

Emine walked the past few days had been awful to the new recruits but it had to be done for them to be able to survive

Some of them were talking about how they had planned to go to all the famous spots in China, as if they were little kids going on an excursion honestly how old were they to be joking about an expedition with unpredictable outcomes

The door was pushed open, cutting her off and making all heads turn towards it but the last person who she expected to see stood there having the audacity to smile and wave

"Hello sorry for barging in like this, looks like I've gone down the wrong door and oh is that Emine is see?"

What the hell was Selena doing here!?

Emine glared at her as the fake saint walked up to her waving at her cadets who kept gawking at her like fools

"And what brings you here oh mighty saint of Athena?"

She tried to push at Selena's buttons but her smile never faltered

"Oh I was just decided to take a look around and I ended up here"

Emine glared at her and that annoying smile that never left her face

Lies, she would never be somewhere she wasn't supposed to be unless it was for a particular purpose

"Well I'm sure you've had your fun now if you'll excuse us we have an expedition to go to"

"An expedition? if I'm not being rude and overstepping my boundaries can I request to come along?"

This might be her chance to investigate Emine properly, the bitch had been trying to get on her nerves ever since she came here

"Selena wants to come along with us?"

"Wow, she's so cool!"

"Wait, why does she want to join us?"

"Who cares just be happy that she's here"

Emine glared at her, she knew that Selena had something up her sleeve but what could this fraud be plotting

"Well Selena I guess you could join us but this is a low ranking rift I'm not sure why you would want to be here"

"Oh don't worry about that I'm just here to see how our future generation of heroes are"

"So why haven't you come since?"

"I guess I didn't have time then, you know if you don't want me to join you you can just say so"

That immediately sparked chaos with her rookie's as they started to complain and whine

"Loosen up, it's not that bad"

This damned bitch manipulating her soldiers right Infront of her and why couldn't these damn idiots see that this bitch was suspicious as hell. Damn it when they came back from the expedition she would train them to the point that they'll be able to tell if a person is untrustworthy form a mile away

"Fine you can join but please leave the rift clearing to them and only jump in if you decide that they can't handle it"

"I'm sure they'll be fine, they look pretty strong"

"Selena just complimented us"

"She's so cool!"

She sighed as the gossip between her rookies continued before leaving to see how the transportation department were faring

Damn it, what was she doing here!? He couldn't let her see him or that would be game over.

He was about to sneak away but Lydia grabbed his hand and that of Ethan and began pulling them to Selena

"Guys people are over there taking pictures with Selena let's go too!"

"Lydia let go of me, you know I don't like the celestial saints and her being here is just suspicious"

"Don't be such a killjoy Ethan it'll just be one picture"

He tried to get Lydia to let him go but damn did she have a strong grip, she didn't let him go till they arrived at the crowd that had quickly formed In Front of Selena. He tried to sneak away one last time but a voice that belonged to the very person he was trying to avoid spoke out

"Hey you, boy with black hair at the back"

All heads turned to him as she walked towards him, he kept his head Bowed and tried to use his hand to shield his face

"Let me see your face"

"Ah no thank you I was just leaving"

She grabbed his hand and dragged him to face her. Her eyes squinting as she tried to figure him out

"Do I know you?"

"I don't think you do"

"Hmm what's your name?"

"I don't like telling my name to strangers"

"Are you insinuating that I'm a stranger?"

"Well aren't you?"

He glared at her while she still peered at his face, she let out a loud laugh before letting go off his hand

"You're a funny kid well I best be going, bye I hope to see you again"

The whole place was silent for a second as she left but returned back to it's lively chattering and commotion, while Lydia just started to pester him about the what had happened

"What was that all about? Hey Li Wei, do you know Selena and didn't tell us!"

"Why on earth would I know her personally?"

Of course that was a lie but hey who would know. The only people who know this are either dead or on his side

"I don't know maybe you're her long lost child or something"

"Don't be ridiculous Lydia anyways we should start getting our things ready ,it seems like the others doing the same"

Her phone rang and she wasn't in the mood to pick it up but she had to because it was that annoying bastard Adron.

"Hey Selena, find someone?"

"No, I wanted to take a look around more to see if they were anything I missed but one of their lieutenant found me out and I had to make an excuse that I'll follow them to their little trip"

"What a shame"

What a shame indeed she was really looking forward to ripping the person who killed her son apart then there but she couldn't find the asshole who did it, then there was the red head boy and that kid who looked familiar

But where had she seen him before. The way they looked at her was just down right annoying, the red head looked annoyed at her presence but the black haired one looked angry at her specifically and even tried to push her buttons but why on earth did he look so familiar!?

'You're a monster!'

A sudden memory flashed through her mind. The girl her son had killed, the boy sounded just like her brother but that wasn't right she killed him and he didn't even have a blessing so how?

"Selena you there?"

"You know what Adron forget what I just said, I think I might know who I'm looking for"
