Chapter 4: Synthesis

"Interesting" he muttered as he stooped his head lower and his face closer.

He brought us into a small clinic and there I found Danpan lying done groaning in pain.

He is the boy with medium-length wavy brown hair who is always with the guy with long black hair with a little color of white.

"Suidel," Piello called the long-haired guy with black and white colored hair.

He turn to take a glimpse. He was surprised to see me and I can say that he feels resentful of me. He can't look at me straight.

He is guarding the boy who is suffering in pain.

This clinic just gve them a little space.

"This is place is not fit for you, my lady" he uttered. He might feel embarrass to be seen in this kind of condition.

But now is not the time for this.

I sit on th chair beside Dnpan's bed and reach for his hands.

Suidel wants to stop me but Piello stops him.

I check his pulse. It's weakening and I saw the small black veins on his skin increasing. I panic seeing it that I stand up and remove his shirt.

It is devouring his small body and the biggest part is right exactly on the wound.

"It is poison" I uttered.

If there is anything that I can do.

I don't want this little boy to die.

Anything from this body?! Anything from your memories!?

Wait! Something is leaking but it is not from the mind because the memory is sealed. However, it is coming from the hands, body, and heart like a blueprint.

"Hand me an activated charcoal" I instructed as I went back to my real senses from panic.

The first thing to do is to reduce, neutralize, and reverse the effects.

Through memorization by heart. I surprisingly know what to do next. My hands got lighter as they moved automatically on their own.

"Hang on, little boy. You'll be safe" I caress his face wiping off his cold sweat.

I touched him.

The this and the place that I was seeing changed. I was standing in a different realm that was full of data and circuits and all sorts of stuff. There are also various irregular shapes. There are also pixels-like and monogram-like things moving around, like a room of knick-knacks of various kinds.

Then I see a small frame like a boy's body, like Danpan's lying infront of me. It is like a container with lots and lots of different waves and energy flowing inside.

Just a single touch and multitudes amount of data, graphs, and information leaked out from it.

I saw all the small compositions of his body. Cells, biochemicals, and so on.

It shows me the problem. How the poison spreads inside like streams and what part of the body is mostly affected.The heart and the lungs.

So, this is what makes Shina important and respected.

Someone who can get into the whole system of something and do a certain fixing.

When I return to the original realm. Danpan's condition is more stable than earlier.

Suidel went to check on Danpan and he seemed more at ease now.

I'm glad he is fine now.

"The Synthesizer" the people muttered. Repeating the same word again and again.

"That's really her"

"She can also heal people"

"Help us! Help us"

And they began too swarm around me.

This will form a stampede and a lot of people will get hurt and also Danpan. Piello carried me outside while Suidel stayed to take care of Danpan.

When the three of us escaped. Piello, Roin and me. Piello put me down and stated, "You heal Danpan,"

Is he surprised that I can heal someone or he is surprise that I heal someone especially a non-human like him.

"That is something you will never do" he said.

So it is, Shina heal Danpan when Shina is not someone who will do that sort of thing.

But he will find out that I am not their Shina.

"Are you" he stop because there is no way that someone else have Shina's gift.

I should think of an excuse but what excuse?

Wait, since I can recall small details about the accident let me try his excuse.

"I got injured and the attack I receive is alterinmy personality" I said.

He was quiet. I was hoping that he will accept my premise.

"So Danpan as well.."

"NO!" I cut his sentence. "I mean, I am the only one affected by this thing. They are planning too weaken me inside so the enemy can take over" I explained my made up excuse

"We should change it back" he suggested.

"Wait!" I stopped him holding my chest.

"I'll return back to normal after months of recovery but during this time I'll do my best to pay all my misdeeds. Having this personality shakens me. I understand and emphasize others. Please, let me this one time to make up with everything," I pleaded.

I'm thankful for being the best actress of our class way back 4th grade.

Yes. I don't want Shina's way. I want to treat everyone well like a friend. I need to return but I don't want to waste my time copying her.

I'll enjoy my stay and I will do it my Way.

A huge guy approached us. The maid I had with me stooped her head in fear.

Is this a much smaller, good looking Nephilim?

"Commander Lerion" Piello said.

"I receive an order to summon you back, Lady Synthesizer"

They brought me back my room.

Tomorrow I will be taken into the main system. I don't know what it is. Shina sealed the information about it.

Roin, my personal attendant came inside my room to check on my condition.

I don't want to show her that I don't have any idea of what is going to happen tomorrow since it seems to be Shina's main task.

Seeing how tense I am she started a conversation, "I think you're going to be fine, my lady," she said.

"I also heard that they are ready to be extracted for the synthesis to happen" she added.

"They are?" I repeat.

She nodded.

"Yes, my lady. They are ready, the hunted gift bearers." She said.

"I heard that the light used for irrigation is decreasing in power. Since you are injured. We cannot proceed with the process. That's why your condition is strictly monitored" she stated.

I'm glad that I have a talkative maid.

Maybe I'll just stand there like a fool. Since Shina hid the information to me.
