Nothing Happened

Miraya was scrunching her eyes when she discovered Marcella's reply. Meanwhile, the stare now shifted to Ariel. Not only Miraya, who did that but also Artemis, who felt unusual about it.

"Are you doing something last night with her?" Artemis tried to dig the information. Ariel grew his eyeballs but then cleared his throat.

"Uhm ... we were drinking last night and then ..." Marcella quickly cut his words with a quick nod as if she agreed on it.

"We were chatting and discussing the matchmaking. And I fell asleep, so I was out in Ariel's car, then he brought me here because I'm in a deep sleep. He didn't know our address, so ..."

"Did you drug my sister!" Miraya suddenly accused Ariel with her shooking face. Ariel frowned to become confusing about her.

"No, I didn't. I will never do that!" Artemis then glared at Miraya for her bluntly question against Ariel.

"You should not accuse my best friend. It calls libel, and I can sue you!" the situation was getting serious because of the simple question from Miraya about her sister's doing last night. She was wondering how Marcella could agree to stay at a strange guy's house without consent.

Ariel then closer himself to half-whispered something to Artemis.

"Hey, do not escalate this!" Artemis turned his eyes to Ariel and swallowed up the following argument under his tongue. Ariel then smiled at Miraya to ease her overt hint.

"I'm sorry if I have to bring your sister here to get some rest. She was so tired and slept also, nor I knew where she lives."

"He's right. We didn't do anything like sleeping together, and he was sleeping on the couch!"

Both Miraya and Artemis raised their eyebrows to their odd reasons about last night. Ariel was quiet for some moments and thinking on his mind.

He felt that Marcella wanted to delete the memory about them last night. The intercourse would end up as one night stand only. It was the harsh truth that he must take it. So he played along with her games on recovering the reality.

Ariel was standing on his opinion about taking responsibility to Marcella after, but somehow, he felt underrated now.

Ariel then added Marcella's statement with his peculiar feeling sipping on his heart.

"Yeah, I slept in the guest room last night," he answered. Artemis shrugged his shoulder, and Miraya only gave Marcella a flat stare.

"We must go home now," Miraya asked Marcella to stand up and to go outside to get to their car.

"Gosh, I guess our car is still on the club's parking lot!" Miraya huffed to Marcella's grins of guiltiness.

"I'm sorry!" Marcella grinned at her, hoping her sister would never get mad about it.

"I can help ..." Ariel suddenly interrupted the twins. Marcella tilted her head and frowned at Ariel.

"I can call a crane company to take your car to your home while Artemis and I can take you home with our car. If you get to the club to take the car, then go home, it's going to waste your time," Ariel implied to Marcella. Miraya and Marcella were turning to each other to consider the idea.

Ariel seemed like a man that they could trust, so they chose to accept it.

"Thank you!" said Miraya at last. Ariel smiled at her, although his eyes then landed on Marcella, who gave him a short beam.

"Wait outside. I'll get the key!" Miraya nodded and pulled Marcella's wrist with her to get outside the house. Meanwhile, Artemis did not follow the twins. Instead, he approached Ariel.

"Are you sure you're gonna take them home?" he held his hand the whispered when Ariel wanted to get upstairs to take the car's keys.

"Yeah, why?" Artemis peeked to the front door to make sure that the girls were not there anymore.

"We supposed to stay away from them. What if their parents find out about us?" Ariel stepped down to get closer to Artemis and kept looking at him.

"Don't forget that we have part of this. We arranged the plan to trick them by switching places!"

"But they did the same way too, so we're even ..." Ariel shook his head in disbelieve. How could his friend become this coward?

"You should be responsible for this even more. And don't tell me that I don't know what you were doing last night. You got into those illegal racing on the construction. I have warned you, but you didn't listen. Now I have to clean up all of your mess!" Ariel spilled all of his piques on Artemis. Artemis must know that every action came with responsibility.

Artemis could not say anything. He mostly knew he was wrong, so it'll be easy for Ariel to put him down right now.

"Do not attempt to do anything stupid anymore. After we are getting the girls home, we need to talk, seriously!" Artemis zipped his mouth to reply at anything to Ariel. All he did was swallowing his saliva a few times due to Ariel's harsh criticisms.

"Now wait here! I'll get the keys!" Ariel took the step upstairs while Artemis only glanced at his back then wait at the end of the stairs.

Less than five minutes, Ariel came down the stairs with his new shirt and more reliable appearance. He combed his hair and has some gentle, soft aquamarine body spray. Artemis smirked while followed Ariel to the front door, but he didn't say anything.

Ariel pressed the button to opened his garage and showed his classic but impressive car. He drove out the car from the garage and let the other three passengers getting in.

"Where's your bike?" Ariel asked Artemis, who sat next to him. The girls were sitting on the back and so quiet there.

"On the left side of your mini garden!" he answered nonchalantly.

"Oh, do you have a garden too?" Marcella suddenly asked Ariel enthusiastically. She beamed whenever she knew someone has a garden because she loved flowers so much. Ariel took a glimpse of Marcella, who sat on the left-back and slightly smiled.

"Yeah, just a mini garden."

"He loves plants, but he did not have any spare time to it, so he just minimizes the garden." Artemis blurted his opinion and have glare from Ariel afterward. But Artemis just grinned and turned his sight to see the outside.

"I also love the garden!"
