Chapter 2: The Reunion

Yetan's father thought she had changed, and that is why he decided to visit her with her sister.

Yetan POV

" Tell your beast friend to come out now, I know where she is. said,Father.

Li Man immediately hid herself when she saw how furious Father was.

"You disrespect your father, as usual, you always disappoint me."

" Calm down, Father, Tan didn't mean it. Why not use this occasion....,

I quickly interrupted my sister.

I did not want anyone to beg on my behalf, so I said with a straight face," I seriously mean it."

"Disrespecting you, you say? you imprisoned me for 18 years.

You are not that respectable as a father, anyway.

He then called the guards to incarcerate me.

In Heavenly realm, there was a man. He has been in seclusion in a place called Land of Mystery for the past 1500 years. He touches one of his memories, which he has sealed away to make him focus in his training. To remember what had happened before he came to the land of mystery.

Flashback****

"Repairing Guixu is a dangerous task.Your Majesty, Youqin, and Qing Heng are still young." Youqin Mother said, looking downcasted.

" As the Empress, you should serve the greater good, Don't be sentimental now. If we don't let the princes train in solitude since young , how can they shoulder the burden when something happens to Guixu. said Youqin Father, looking at everyone.

In the ninth heaven hall, the two princes walked in and stood in front of their father, then Shaodian Youqin moved forward and kneeled.

" Father, Qing Heng is still too young , I am willing to undergo training to reduce your burden, Father." said youqin.

The empress stood up and disagreed.

" No, Youqin." said his mother.

" Father, let me do it." said Youqin.

" Great, you care about all the living creatures," said Father happily.

" Make an announcement that the crown prince Shaodian Youqin is to be promoted to the rank Empyrean, bearing the title Xuanshang ( it means second to king ). He will undergo training starting from today, said his father.

Land of Mystery ***

Youqin POV

" Your Highness, to improve yourself, you remain chaste and train for 1500 years. You can leave today and reunite with your family. You rearranged the scrolls and sealed off your memories. I can see that you are apprehensive about the reunion. if you don't mind my imposition, I heard that jade deity, rain deity, and thunder deity all the three respectable masters will be there at your reception.You cast away your emotions for years, so I am sure you don't know how to interact with others. When you see them, speak tactfully, and do not be unfiltered as you usually do. otherwise... my servant reported.

I interrupted him by using magical power to shut him down, and he kept quiet. Then I sigh.

" I guess quiet days will soon be behind me." I said.

Heavenly Realm****

Everyone gathered around waiting for Xuanshang's return, including his family, looking towards the entrance eagerly.

One of the palace eunuch announced the arrival of empyrean.

" The Empyrean Xuanshang has arrived." said the eunuch.

Everyone focused on the entrance immediately, and they all greeted me.

" Greeting, Your Highness." they all chorused.

On entering, everybody was staring at me sternly, which made me feel uncomfortable. I said.

"Youqin has grown this tall." said Jade Deity happily.

"I can't stare at them, I was just walking towards father and mother.

" A millennium of training, I guess he is 2700 years old now," said Rain Deity.

" Look, he has grown and become to become this dashing man,he was just as handsome as me when I was young, said Thunder Deity flattering himself happily

" That's an understatement," said Rain Deity.

"Greeting Father and Mother." I bowed.

" Rise," Father said, and Mother looked at me all smile. That smile made me feel rather uncomfortable.

Brother Youqin, my siblings, greeted me with warmth, but I really want to distance myself as I feel estranged from them.

Having trained for 1500 years, I was extremely calculative. I saw the gaze Father directed towards me and became prepared.

we fought, and I conquered Father, then we landed.

"You have obtained the imperfect celestial body, Youqin. You did not let me down." said Father.

" How have you been for the past 1500 years? asked Mother."

Mother tried to hold my hand, but I withdrew my hand awkwardly.

Thank you, Mother, for your care, I was perfectly okay, and I responded when I noticed the discomfort on her face was evident.

It seems it couldn't settle well with her that I didn't show that enthusiasm neither does it sit well with me to have over loving mother.
