Chapter 1: The Rebirth of the Twin Flower

<p>At the origin of time, every creature from the four realms was given life by purity and impurity. Choas, however, wished to destroy the world. Fortunately, the immortal in the Heavenly realm risked their life and sealed choas in Guixu. <br/><br/>Unbeknownst to everyone, the sacred tree of Dongqiu, Ganoderma vein had its root so deep into the ground that it nourished itself with choas thus blossomed a twin flower that can absorb both purity and impurity and who doubles as the key to Guixu for peace and harmony. The four realms worked together and razed Dongqiu to the ground in an attempt to destroy the twin flower. However, the spiritual essence of the twin flower survived. <br/><br/>After thousands of years, it reincarnated as the descendants of a human empress. The two princesses were born at the same time but different fates.<br/><br/>Princess Qingkui is the eldest daughter of the Linguang family, which is the current emperor of Tianqi State.<br/><br/> She was born with auspicious signs, and ever since she was young, she was given the title of empyrean consort. She is a symbol of grace and elegance, the epitome of queendom. She was to marry the empyrean of the heavenly realm.<br/><br/>Princess Yetan is the opposite of her. She was arranged to marry into the void realm to be the crown princess. Apparently, she was born with ominous signs since the empress passed away after giving birth to her, and her wet nurse died mysteriously, too. <br/><br/>Since then, the Emperor,her father, has kept her locked up in Zhaolu hall to prevent other misfortune. <br/><br/>18 years later, it is their 18th birthday, and the day after tomorrow is when the twin sister will be married to their respective husband. <br/><br/>Yetan POV<br/><br/>I have lost count of how much bullying and abuses I suffered in the past 18 years, everyone think I would accept my fate as it is, but I will not. I will prove it to them that I will not surrender to this harsh life.<br/><br/>Author POV <br/>She dressed up all by herself, then she faced one of the Prince of void portraits and said to herself, "Yetan, do your worst today." She opened the door of her hall to leave, but all the guards appointed by her father stopped her from leaving. She was pushed back inside.<br/><br/>Yetan POV <br/><br/>He kept me here for the past 18 years. Is he not done yet? <br/>The day after tomorrow is the day my sister and I will get married. Before I leave, vengeance will be mine. I went and took my seat, and then I started reading about the void walker, how evil, how violent, and how ungrateful they are. Use all the necessary means to survive. What an enlightening book I have learned so much from it.<br/><br/>Qingkui POV<br/><br/>Both human and immortal care about etiquette, you can not ever slip up. I have been with Father for the past 18 years. Now that I have to leave him soon, I can't help but worry about him, come with me to pay Father a visit. Before I leave, I want to keep him company. <br/><br/>Author POV <br/>She left with her maid, and when they got to Palace, all the guards greeted her with respect, and she said to them, " I am here to seek audience with father." Please notify him. <br/><br/>Then one the guards replied to her that" Your majesty is not in the hall".<br/><br/> Where is he, then?<br/><br/>Yetan POV <br/><br/>Yetan then asked her beast friend ( Li Man) to disguise as her father so she could vent her anger.<br/><br/>" You villainous daughter, how dare you abduct your father, release me at once." Li Man said imitating Yetan father. <br/><br/>I took a handkerchief and put it inside Li Man mouth with anger on my face.<br/><br/>"You? my father? Look around. No father will treat her own daughter the way you treat me. Ever since my birth, you have been wanting to kill me." I said, looking at furious.<br/><br/>"For 18 years, I face either confinement or admonishment. Have you ever shown me affection? you are my father in name, but you treat me like enemy." <br/><br/>" I know you are going to mention ominous and auspicious signs, but destiny is not what a baby can alter. I just got the short end of the stick. You favour Qingkui and treat me like a vile person. You say I'm never like Qingkui. What do you think that makes me feel?."<br/><br/>Li Man got angry and transformed by to her normal self.<br/><br/>" If you are upset, go and confront your father," Li Man said annoyingly.<br/><br/>Qingkui POV <br/>" Greeting to Father," I said bowed.<br/><br/>" Kui, I was just about to come to your place," said Father. <br/><br/>" I prepare a gift for you and Tan , I made some gowns for you to check it out. It will assuage your longing for me." I said.<br/><br/>" Kui, you are so kind.<br/> You made a handkerchief, too? said father.<br/><br/>" Yes, it is for Tan, we are getting married soon. I just want to give something to her. " I said.<br/><br/> I try to convince Father so that we can go check on tan'er. Father reluctantly agreed as I persuaded him.<br/><br/>Father and I arrived at Yetan's room when we heard some noise. We quickly rushed into the room to check the situation, but we were shocked to the brim.<br/><br/>Someone was actually impersonating Father.
