Chapter 8 Protecting Her

Jiang Hong noticed this and pushed past Fan Xi's body to take the blanket placed. The child was then placed in her arms on the blanket beside her. "Ye Fan still loves me and my grandson. I am extremely relaxed. Fan Xi sits in the passenger seat with her daughter."

"Mom!"

Ye Fan's expression became hostile, but he said nothing. The yelled alone was enough to get Jiang Hong out of the car.

"Oh my, the old saying is true.," she muttered as she exited the car. "You are forgetting about your mother now that you have a daughter-in-law. I am so depressed..."

Fan Xi rolled her eyes. She did not know why Jiang Hong was so shameless.

Ye Fan also ignored her. Jiang Hong mocked herself. She sat in the front passenger seat and said nothing.

Fan Xi's life was worse than in the hospital for the next half a month.

Perhaps due to the difficult birth and heavy bleeding, her milk supply was low, and she could not feed one child. This upset Jiang Hong. She cooked daily soups for herself under the guise of caring for her two grandsons.

One day followed another. The military base became noisy a week before her hospital discharge.

"Hand over Fan Xi to me! We need to take her away today and give my daughter an explanation!"

Fan Xi's heart raced. A bad feeling rose from her heart. Ye Fan was nearby and said, "Don't worry, I will go and take a look first."

"Alright."

She knew they were troublemakers from their voices. Jiang Hong would have prevented Fan Xi from leaving even if she wanted to. Waited here was better.

But even so, Fan Xi still looked through the window and observed the situation outside.

Ye Fan lived on the military base's second floor. The view was decent. She clearly saw and heard the commotion in the courtyard below.

"Liu family?"

Ye Fan joined the crowd after this question. A sad-faced woman led a group behind her to the second floor and blocked Ye's house entrance.

Ye Fan stepped toward Fan Xi's front and pulled her behind him, "Aunt Li, you guys are so aggressive—why? What does my wife do to justify your outrageous arrival?"

"I suggest that Colonel Ye stays out of this. Colonel Liu appreciates you, so we are only targeting Fan Xi. Do you want to avoid affecting your future, right?"
