Chapter 7 Discharge from Hospital

After two or three days of Fan Xi remaining in the hospital, Jiang Hong became increasingly frustrated with her.

"Do you make the hospital feel like home? Expend your cash wisely! Ye Fan's inheritance allows you to live in such luxury!

Ignoring her, Fan Xi reached out to poke fun at the third baby.

Jiang Hong only held the first and second child in her arms whenever she went. The fact that the third baby was a girl made her ignore her completely. Fan Xi couldn't stand to see her in pain.

But the three children's cries surprised her even more. The sobbing continued despite her best efforts.

Ye Fan hurried in and snatched the second baby away from Jiang Hong. "Please, Mom. Lower your voice while we're here at the hospital. The child is afraid of you."

When Jiang Hong found out, she became enraged. "You are my son, Ye Fan. How dare you address an outsider in such a manner! Why should I not try to strike up a conversation with her? Can't I say anything to her after giving birth to such a failure?"

Fan Xi glanced at Ye Fan. If he was apathetic toward his mother's insistence that the third baby was a waste of money, she must have been a terrible parent.

If so, then she must have realized the truth.

In response to Fan Xi's gaze, Ye Fan sighed and told her mother, "Mom, since Fan Xi married into our family, she is a part of our family. How do we classify her as an outsider? The third baby is also your granddaughter. She was born to her after a difficult pregnancy."
